During the Russian-Turkish War of 1787–1791. G.A. Potemkin was the commander-in-chief of the ground forces in southern Russia and the Black Sea Fleet.

Konstantin Dmitrievich Vorobyov (1919-1975)
In 1941, Vorobiev, together with other Kremlin cadets, defended Moscow. Near Klin he was captured and ended up in a fascist concentration camp in Lithuania. In 1943 he escaped from the camp and organized a partisan group, which then became part of a large partisan formation. After the liberation of Siauliai by the Soviet Army, Vorobiev was appointed chief of air defense headquarters in this city. His first story, “Lenka” (1951), was published in a police newspaper. The stories of the late 1940s and early 1950s and the story One Breath (1948) mainly dealt with the everyday life of the Lithuanian village. Events to remember.
The calendar of significant dates for 2014 is quite extensive. Try to choose memorable dates in 2014 that should be given special attention. The State Duma expanded the list of memorable dates in Russia, adding to it Day of Remembrance of Russian Soldiers who died in the First World War (1914-1918), which will be celebrated on August 1. As follows from the explanatory note to the project, 2014 will mark the 100th anniversary of Germany’s declaration of war on Russia, which went down in history as the First World War and claimed the lives of 12 million people (Russia’s losses amounted to 6 million people). This war was the last war of the Russian Empire, which was followed by colossal political changes in the country.

Significant dates for history and humanity in 2015.
Significant dates of 2015 are present today in every month without exception. There may not be so many of them, but many of them will be celebrated in 2015 as something big and important. Birthdays of great people, as well as simply significant significant dates for history and humanity, are something that we will always remember and honor. The calendar of significant dates for 2015 will be an excellent assistant, first of all, for teachers and lecturers. However, even an ordinary person who, in our modern world, is interested in something more than social networks, will be able to find something useful for himself in this calendar. After all, not everyone, for example, knows that 2015 will be the year of Poland in Russia and Russia in Poland, as well as the fact that Russia and Bulgaria will hold a cross-year of tourism.
