Building

The complex of buildings of the Kabardino-Balkarian University consists of educational buildings, dormitories and a university stadium with adjacent administrative buildings.

In 2007, a new five-story building of the Faculty of Humanities was built, which has at its disposal modern large auditoriums, conference rooms with transparent ceilings, climate control, and telecommunications equipment. The new building has an elevator, and it is also connected to other buildings by a system of transitions on different floors. The adjacent buildings of the main building are connected through internal corridors, which facilitates movement within the university without going outside.

The entrances to all buildings of the main complex are equipped with automated access control systems based on radio frequency identification technology (presumably). Access to the university is provided only with a special pass. Anyone can obtain a temporary pass by submitting an application to the main building with an explanation of the purpose. All university employees and students have permanent passes.

Travel to the university and adjacent buildings is carried out along many city bus routes (14, 11, 25, 10, 3, etc.), including those coming from intercity bus, air and railway stations, which makes it easier for students to get to the university walls . The dormitory buildings are located directly next to the academic buildings, which also makes life easier for nonresident students.

The university is surrounded by many food outlets, canteens with reduced prices, a park, and many different shops and clubs. The university area is not only the educational center of the city, but also one of the cultural and entertainment centers. Many open concerts are held near the university in the summer; once a year, the “Student Spring” takes place, bringing together many young and talented performers from all over the republic.
