Find inner peace. Calmness - how to stay calm, how to find it, health benefits of calmness, ways and methods of achieving peace of mind

I have long noticed that I feel more balanced and confident when I take time to relax, meditate, or pray. Quite satisfied with the result, I soon stop doing this. Gradually my life becomes more and more stressful, I come to despair. Calm leaves me. Then I resume my relaxing activities, and life gradually gets better.

Lots of people go through this cycle. From this we can conclude: “If you don’t have time for relaxation, it is absolutely necessary for you”.

To find peace of mind, you need to develop the habit of giving yourself a break every day. People who have achieved peace of mind often perform certain rituals. Some pray, others meditate, others take a walk at dawn. Everyone finds their own way of relaxation. This helps us better understand and tune ourselves.

Peace of mind is a state of harmony with the whole world and, above all, with oneself. But above all, peace is balance.

The number one challenge for people doing martial arts is to maintain balance. Once you start practicing karate, you will learn that strength comes from balance and a cool head. Once you add emotions, your song is sung. Balance and peace of mind are the sources of our self-confidence. Calm does not mean sleepy! Calm is about managing power, not resisting it.. Calmness is the ability to see the big picture without focusing on the details.

If you want to protect yourself from all adversities, you have chosen the wrong planet. Peace and confidence can only be found within yourself. There is no stability in the world around us; everything around is in a state of eternal variability. How can we cope with the unpredictability of life? Only by accepting it! Tell yourself: “I love surprises. It’s great when you know that something unexpected can happen at any moment.” Make a decision: “No matter what happens, I can handle it.” Make an agreement with yourself: “If I get fired, I will find a job with a more flexible schedule. If I get hit by a bus, I won't be here anymore." This is not a joke. This is the truth of life. The earth is a dangerous place. People are born and die here. But that doesn't mean you have to live like a cowardly rabbit.

Life will remain a struggle if we insist on it. Modern civilization has taught us to constantly strain ourselves. We grew up believing in resistance. We tend to push events and push people. We exhaust ourselves, and this does more harm than good.

One young man traveled all over Japan to meet a great martial artist. Having achieved an audience, he asked the Teacher: “I want to become the best. How long will it take me?
And the sensei answered: “Ten years.”
The student asked: “Master, I am very capable, I will work day and night. How long will it take me?
And the Teacher answered: “Twenty years!”

Greetings, deserted corner... It is no mere coincidence that cultures around the world have a tradition and reverence for solitude. During the period of initiation, both the American Indian and the African Bushman left their tribes, hiding in the mountains or forests in order to understand their destiny. Great spiritual teachers - Christ, Buddha, Magomed - drew inspiration from solitude, like millions of their followers. Each of us needs such a treasured place where phones don’t ring, where there’s no TV or Internet. Let it be a nook in the bedroom, a corner on the balcony or a bench in the park - this is our territory for creativity and reflection.

Since the 17th century, science has had Sir Isaac Newton's method: if you want to understand something, break it into pieces and study the pieces. If that doesn't make things clear, break it down into even smaller pieces... Eventually you'll figure out how the Universe works. But is this true? Take a Shakespeare sonnet and break it down into nouns, prepositions and pronouns, then break the words down into letters. Will the author's intent become clearer to you? Lay out the Mona Lisa into brush strokes. What will this give you? Science works miracles, but at the same time it dissects. The mind breaks things down into parts. The heart collects them into one whole. Strength and prosperity come when we look at the world as a whole.

Forces of nature. Have you ever noticed that you can wander in the forest all day and feel an influx of energy? Or spend the morning at the mall and feel like you've been run over by a truck? Everything around us vibrates, be it grass, concrete, plastic or polyester. We catch it. Gardens and forests have a healing vibration - they restore our energy. The vibrations of concrete shopping centers are of a different type: they suck up energy. The vibration of cathedrals is directed upward. You'll lose the lion's share of your vitality in smoky bars and strip clubs.

It doesn’t take a genius to understand: our health and attitude depend on the elusive energy of the environment. When we are full of energy, we can easily resist illness and the bad mood of others. If energy is at zero, we attract depression and illness.

Why is relaxation needed? Almost everything we do in life is a race for results. But deep relaxation, meditation or prayer help us take a fresh look at life. We expect that the future will give us many pleasant moments. However, our attention must still be focused on the present. As we practice deep relaxation, we will begin to notice that some of the qualities acquired through the exercises gradually become habits and change our daily life. We become calmer, we have intuition.

We all have an inner voice, but it is weak and barely discernible. When life gets too hectic and noisy, we stop hearing it. But as soon as we muffle extraneous sounds, everything changes. Our intuition is always with us, but often we do not pay any attention to it.

Relaxation will save you more time than you spend on it.. Make it a habit - tune yourself like tuning a musical instrument. Twenty minutes every day - so that the strings of your soul sound clean and harmonious. Wake up every morning with the intention of being calm and balanced. Some days you will be able to hold out until the evening, and sometimes only until breakfast. But if maintaining peace of mind becomes your goal, you will gradually learn this, perhaps the most important art in your life.

We live in a world with a highly developed communication system, but also with its own complex, sometimes insoluble problems. This alone is enough to explain why, for many people, strong internal anxiety and tension, which also manifests itself in the external world, has become the norm. When was the last time you felt inner peace within yourself? One that gives confidence to both yourself and others? Our world pulsates to the rhythm of stress and uncontrollable running. And this affects everyone's life. Today, even elementary school children suffer from depression and inferiority complexes. All you need to do is calm down.

How can gain inner peace

Peace and tranquility are an internal reality, an internal state based on harmony. This is the whole and its individual parts among themselves. Ancient philosophers taught that a person is not just a bodily shell, above which a certain subjective and very abstract soul hovers. Man is a much more complex being, possessing, one might say, seven parts, or bodies. Who are we? We are the Mystery. Our essence is in the Sacred. In each of us there is a mysterious observer who penetrates into the soul, beyond the boundaries of the manifested world. So how can you find inner peace?

We must look for it not in rest and not in movement, but in true harmony, in its universal laws that govern the entire Universe, according to which man is not an isolated element hostile to other people and Nature itself, but a true friend of all things. And a friend is not someone who sits at the same table with us and shares food with us, but someone about whom we can say with complete confidence that he is always there, that we are always together. As the ancient Romans said, this is the one who lives in harmony with us - heart to heart.
So, you need to understand that inner peace is, first of all, peace with oneself. No one has ever been able to cause it or create it artificially, but there has always been, is and will be harmony in us, natural, innate. The problem is that a person often destroys it with his own lifestyle. We must search. If you have a sincere desire to find it, it is not so difficult.

Each of us must have considerable moral strength in order to find within ourselves the one and only “ray of light” that leads us along the Path, and follow it, no matter how banal or ridiculous it may look in the eyes of other people. We must follow the path that we ourselves consider correct, not paying attention to what others say. This is not about becoming selfish or disdainful of other people's opinions, but about preserving your own individuality. We must build within ourselves a citadel of our freedom, without which we will never achieve either peace or tranquility.

This is the ability to meet oneself, the ability to understand that thanks to the Great Divine Wisdom, everyone is given a destiny. Each of us was born in order to fulfill our life task: each has our own Path, our own Destiny, our own tailwind, our own unique way of existence and self-expression.

Sometimes we ourselves do not know where we are going. But if we find the inner compass in our own soul, we will always know the direction. Suffering, blows and surprises will simply be tests for us. Everything in nature teaches us this. To become truly great, you need to have the wisdom of fire. No matter how you light the fire, no matter how you turn the candle, the flame always remains vertical. If, after going through the trials of life, a person can stand upright, he will find peace in his heart.
To gaininner peace, this is a personal, intimate state of a person, it is not enough just to read books or listen to lectures. It is necessary to learn from nature. By observing how fire, water, wind, mountains behave, you can learn a lot. To understand the innermost essence of a person, it is not enough to have a large amount of information. It is necessary to penetrate into the depths of everything that surrounds us and everything that is in our soul.

Is it ever possible to achieve peace and inner tranquility among people, universal peace on the entire planet? This is a very difficult task. To achieve great peace, humanity must be peaceful, must strive for inner peace and harmony and desire it with its heart. Until all people understand this, until at least those who have power and strength strive for peace, it will never be achieved. It is not enough just to talk about the importance of universal peace, that our lives should become better. We all need to think together not about a utopian society, but about humanity as a whole; about humanity moving along its own path, listening to God.

We may love swallows, stones, people, wind, ancient flags and ancient glory, but we need peace. And it is possible. If we are able to see in the spring air the signs of God, whose messengers are the swallows, and hear their singing, if we can see the white foam of a waterfall, if we can understand the flame that always strives upward, we will find peace, for it is born from our inner struggle, from our efforts and actions, out of our great love. Blessed are those who are able to feel this love; blessed are those who carry inner peace; those who have the courage to say that peace is very important, everyone and everything needs it, regardless of the price that must be paid for it. The one who loves more with all his heart, the one who puts more effort into his actions, in his thoughts, is a real father in his soul. He can convey in the best possible way, simply and naturally, everything that he internally owns; convey it so that everyone can understand it and feel his care. We would like everyone to feel some excitement in their hearts - if not love, then at least a little peace and tranquility. If everyone says their own inner prayer, if they can smile a little more often, if tomorrow after sunrise they see their face more open in the mirror, if they give others their smile, then they will find inner peace.

- it is joy, harmony, the ability to realize the best.

I consider myself a fairly calm and balanced person, but sometimes situations arise in life when you need to do everything “now and at once.” But for some reason everything doesn’t work out. The transport did not arrive on time, there were traffic jams on the road, there were some questions with the documents... And what’s interesting is that if you don’t maintain a state of calm and internal balance, then everything goes “heads up” like a bun from a fairy tale. And if you manage to maintain complete calm and remain in the “observer” state, all issues are resolved in the most wonderful and unexpected way.

The fact is that peace is our natural state, and is always available to us at any given time. Part of your consciousness is always in a state of complete calm. It is like a pearl within you that constantly shines, and its light fills everything around with peace. But the box containing the pearl sometimes suddenly “slams shut.” And you are no longer feel this light, although the pearl still shines. You just need to learn to remember the pearl and deftly"lift" the lid of the box.

And when we are in our natural relaxed and calm state, the world also shows us a picture where everything happens harmoniously and at ease.

How can you quickly and effectively regain a state of balance in any situation? I offer several proven and effective practices that can be applied in any place and situation without greatly embarrassing the people around you.

Long and deep breathing

It is well known that if a person is in an excited state, breathing becomes more frequent. Feedback works the same way; breathing directly affects the parasympathetic and sympathetic unequal systems. This means that if we slow down our breathing and affect the parasympathetic nervous system, then what? That's right, we're calming down.

In addition, it is necessary to pay attention that the breathing is “full”. At the same time, both the stomach and lungs should work while inhaling and exhaling. Let's try. As we inhale, our belly inflates first, followed by our chest, it “opens,” our shoulders go back a little, I imagine a confident and calm person, and in addition, the upper ribs and collarbones slightly rise. Exhale in reverse order: upper chest, middle and belly. Not difficult at all, right? Also make sure that the exhalation is longer than the inhalation.

If your manager’s car was hit in the parking lot in the morning, and at this moment in time he is furiously telling you that the efficiency of your work leaves much to be desired, you calmly turn your attention to your breathing, and take 3-5 deep, long breaths in and out... And calmly give an intelligible answer, conveying a state of calm and confidence to your superiors.

Prithvi Mudra - Mudra of the Earth

The earth symbolizes calm, stability, balance. This mudra is quite simple and is used to calm the psyche, restore vitality, and also as protection from external energy influences.

Therefore, what will you do if you need to resolve issues with documents in government agencies for a long time? Twist what? No, I don’t care, but Mudra.

Mudra is done with both hands. We connect the tips of the thumb and ring fingers on each hand, and straighten the remaining fingers relaxed. It will look like this.

The mudra stimulates muladhara, the root chakra, restoring vital energy in stressful situations. It also enhances the sense of smell, the condition of nails, hair, skin, bones, gives a sense of balance and self-confidence, stimulates the liver and stomach! This is such an effective and very simple practice. You can do it for about 15 minutes. For treatment, you can use this mudra every day three times a day.

Stimulation of body points

If you have lost your temper, feel irritated and internally resentful about having to work on the weekend, or about your son’s homework not being completed, you have a great opportunity to free yourself from accumulated emotions by stimulating the Tai Chun point. This is the main point of the liver, and as you know, it is the liver that accumulates negative emotions of irritation, anger, anger, indignation.

Dot Tai Chun is located in a depression just below the base of the thumb and index finger. You can simply massage the point for 5-10 minutes. The Tai Chun point helps to calm the mind, gain composure in a dangerous situation, overcome panic, and also increase energy and cope with depression.

It will also be a very effective and useful method activation gallbladder canal. It is located along the outer side of the legs, from the hips to the feet. Just pat the sides of your legs from top to bottom with your palms. This will help increase inner determination, the desire to act, add faith in our own strength, and strengthen us in our desire to achieve our plans. It is good to do this practice every day for a couple of minutes.

Secret place

This is a very simple and enjoyable practice. For this you will need to use your imagination. Find a quiet place, make yourself comfortable, so that nothing disturbs you. You can simply sit on a chair, or in any position convenient for you. Close your eyes and remember a place where you felt truly happy, relaxed, where you didn't have to think or worry about anything. Perhaps this is a place from your childhood, or from your travels, or just let your imagination “draw” this place for you. Take your imagination to your secret place. Feel the wind in your hair, the smell of grass, the warm rays of the sun on your skin. Allow yourself to completely relax and a state of peace to envelop your body. Just be.

Before opening your eyes, rub your palms and place warm palms on your eyes. Open your eyes “into your palms,” then slowly lower your hands, and allow a state of peace to envelop the entire real world you see through your eyes. Try to maintain this state.

You can return to your secret spot as often as you like during the day. Over time there will be no need to close your eyes. It will be enough just to mentally remember this place. And after some time, the state of rest will become natural for you. And you will understand that the “secret place” is always inside you.

By being calm, we accumulate and conserve our internal resources, giving the body the opportunity to recover. And most importantly, we receive and see answers from space to the questions that concern us, we have the opportunity to quickly solve the tasks assigned to us with confidence that we are moving in the right direction.

Everyone has moments in life when they experience emotional discomfort. It depends on external factors, such as the situation in which he finds himself, or the internal state of his soul.

Feeling dissatisfied with his life, a person literally loses peace, cannot concentrate on work and personal relationships, and experiences loss of appetite and sleep.

If you are familiar with this condition, find out its causes and ways to find inner harmony with yourself and the world around you.

Causes of loss of inner peace

Each person has his own reason to worry and worry, but it comes down to one of the following:

  • Fears and doubts. They overcome us every day, but not everyone knows how to deal with them effectively. The reason for this is anything: fear of losing a loved one, job, property, doubts in one’s abilities, fear of failure.
  • Guilt. It is imposed by people around you who want to manipulate you, or arises due to self-flagellation.
  • Obligations. If you feel like you can't cope or have taken on an unbearable burden, you will probably lose your peace.
  • Resentment. This destructive feeling leads to depression, obsessive thoughts and loss of mental balance.
  • Anger, anger, hatred and envy. These emotions are so strong that they threaten not only the loss of peace, but also sleep, appetite, and performance. Find out,

All these reasons certainly lead to the fact that a person loses his mental balance and experiences emotional, and often physical, discomfort.

Loss of internal balance, negative attitudes, and destructive thoughts lead to the emergence of real physical illnesses. Such patterns are studied by science, which we have already talked about earlier.

How to find peace of mind

Awareness of the problem is already the first step towards solving it. The following recommendations will help you find inner harmony and peace.

  1. Admit your NOT perfection and the right to make mistakes. Excessive ambition and self-demandingness not only disturbs mental balance, but also forces a person to be in constant stress. Take mistakes you make as life lessons and an opportunity to gain valuable experience.
  2. Live here and now. This will help get rid of imaginary fears associated with the future. Often a person worries about what might happen and forgets that it may NOT happen. Focus your attention on the present and solve problems as they arise.
  3. Learn to say NO. Stop shifting other people's problems onto yourself, and your life will become much simpler and more harmonious.
  4. Build internal boundaries. The loss of your peace of mind may be associated with worries about another person, or taking on his responsibilities. Don’t let others impose the rules of the game on you, and let’s clearly understand the boundaries of what is permitted in communicating with you.
  5. Don't keep all your experiences to yourself. An excellent psychological technique to get rid of loss of calm is to say out loud what is bothering you. By putting your feelings into words, you will come to the conclusion that things are not as bad as you thought. Don't be alone with your experiences and problems. Share them with a loved one who will understand and help.
  6. Give vent to your emotions regularly. Don't keep everything that has accumulated to yourself. Throw out the negativity and you will feel much better.
  7. Learn to forgive and forget. Sometimes this is not as easy to do as it seems at first glance. If you are unable to cope with the offense on your own, seek help from a psychologist.
  8. Focus on the end result and perceive temporary difficulties as steps towards realizing your goal.

If you are good at self-hypnosis, then practice reading prayers for peace of mind and meditate. But remember that you can find harmony and peace only by eliminating the cause of loss of balance and changing your thinking patterns.

Harmony with yourself and peace of mind are the key to a happy, healthy and carefree life. Stress, failures, and accumulated negativity negatively affect a person’s health and psyche, which significantly affects the quality of life. This is why it is very important to find peace of mind. This can be done in different ways: by attending trainings, resorting to esoteric rituals, reading the calming prayer “Spyridon of Trimythous”, communicating with friends. However, the most effective and efficient are often the special techniques recommended by most psychologists.

Let's fight negative thoughts

The main instigator of anxiety is negative thoughts. The more we think about the bad, the more we worry. Even thinking about trying to get rid of any problems can provoke the development of nervousness. In such thoughts it is very easy to lose your bearings in life and your own self.

Of course, without reasoning about how to proceed and get out of a difficult situation, it is impossible to solve problems. However, even in this case, you need to know a certain limit, otherwise you can bring yourself to a nervous breakdown.

Each thought in life should be given a place, but preference should always be given to the positive. In any case, try to find the good in everything. Just like dark yin, our thoughts should also contain a bit of white yang.

Psychologists advise fighting negative thoughts, especially if they are not related to an important matter. Fill your mind with positive thoughts, praise yourself mentally, set yourself up for good things and life will become easier.

Away from worries - forward to action

Experiences do not bring any benefit, they only harm. Useless hours-long dramas and a feeling of hopelessness only provoke the emergence of new negativity. Instead, go on the offensive.

There is a problem? Find solutions and eradicate it. If you have a subtle mental organization, are overly impressionable and sensitive, try to avoid what provokes negative emotions.

In the modern world of advanced technology and with 24/7 access to the Internet, it is difficult to avoid negative impressions. In this case, you can always do something useful both for yourself and for those around you. Caring for others, volunteering, and helping animal shelters will not only calm you down, but also strengthen your sense of self-worth.

Getting rid of an exorbitant load

Important advice from psychologists: do not take on what you cannot bear. An exorbitant burden, excessive responsibility, a lot of worries and tasks can unsettle anyone and disturb peace of mind.

Choose activities that suit you, do not try to do more than your moral and physical condition allows. Overwork not only disrupts mental balance, but also negatively affects health.

Be prudent and realistically assess your own strengths, otherwise there will be no peace in life.

Meditation and healthy habits as a cleansing method

In a healthy body healthy mind! A healthy spirit means peace of mind and tranquility, contentment with one’s own life and joy in the little things. Proper nutrition and following the principles of a healthy lifestyle will definitely help with this. However, the best way to find peace of mind is meditation.

Meditation and yoga are great for helping you relax, get rid of accumulated negativity and find yourself. Through meditation, you can eradicate unwanted thoughts, let go of your mind and open up space for new, bright and joyful events that will not keep you waiting.

Forget about the bustle, but at the same time try not to be late. Meditation will be an ideal assistant for this. Get healthy habits, eat right, do exercises in the morning, think about your own health.

Filling life with bright colors

Having a good time is an ideal way to cope with negative emotions and gain peace of mind. It is very important to do something that evokes exclusively positive feelings, and this applies not only to hobbies and free time activities, but also to work.

Various hobbies will help make life sparkle with new bright colors:

Reading motivating, life-affirming books and classic literature;

Physical exercise, dancing or extreme sports that promote the production of the happiness hormone;

Finding new hobbies, be it drawing, singing, sculpting, sewing or knitting;

Meeting old friends and making new acquaintances, searching for circles of interests;

Purchasing a pet that you have long dreamed of;

Visiting unusual and fascinating places, traveling;

Buying things that have been put off for a long time. It is important to take into account that it would be best to purchase something that was rejected only because of impracticality. The main thing is that it must be desired.

These options will help you feel happy and alive. And a happy person, as a rule, does not suffer from emotional distress. Time constantly busy with something new and interesting simply won’t be enough for negative feelings, anxiety and melancholy.
