2. Composition based on the painting by Levitan Golden Autumn

The painting "Golden Autumn" was painted by a talented Russian artist I.I. Levitan in 1895. The painting depicts autumn in central Russia. More precisely, this is the beginning of September. The time, popularly called "Indian summer". The picture does not evoke sad thoughts at all. She inspires everyone with her optimism. Summer has returned, the sun has warmed, and the earth has begun to sing. It usually lasts until the fifteenth of September.

Everything around changed, and the soul sang not only among artists, but also among poets. This time of the year was very fond of the wonderful Russian poet A.S. Pushkin. He usually went to his family estate Boldino. There he wrote his best works. His famous line "... In crimson and gold, dressed forests ... I love the lush nature of withering." It is impossible to describe autumn nature better and more accurately.

The painting depicts golden autumn. The picture seems to be flooded with sunlight. It's amazing weather. Nature basks in the rays of the still warm sun. The picture shows birches. Many Russian artists loved to draw them. Birch is one of the symbols of great Russia. Trees, like gold, are covered with yellow foliage. She flutters in the warm autumn wind. In some places the trees and bushes were dressed in crimson. It seems that an invisible web flies in the transparent and fresh air. A narrow river, with high, in some places steep banks, flows between forests and fields.

The water in it is so clean and transparent that you can see, like in a mirror, clouds floating across the autumn sky and nearby trees and shrubs. With clear strokes, the artist sets the direction of the water. The grass on the hillock has already begun to turn yellow. Slender birches tried on golden outfits. They sparkle in the autumn sun. Nearby standing aspens almost dropped all the foliage. Behind the forest in the picture is a village, behind it is a distant field, still green. And the grove on the right bank is still green.

The three main colors used by the artist to convey a light mood are gold, blue, and blue. These are flowers of joy and fullness of life. The landscape is imbued with calm and tranquility. You just want to lie down on a hillock, relax or have a small picnic. But "Indian summer" is fleeting. Soon the last yellow leaf will fly around, and autumn will fully come into its own.

In this, at first glance, an ordinary landscape, the artist managed to convey all the charm of Russian nature, all its charm. The painting is in the Tretyakov Gallery.
