Analysis of the poem “The Daylight Has Gone Out” by Pushkin

In 1820, A. S. Pushkin was sent into southern exile for his freedom-loving poems. This period became completely special in the poet’s work. Pushkin informed his brother that he wrote the poem “The Sun of Day Has Gone Out” while on a ship heading from Feodosia to Gurzuf (August 1820).
