British School StudyLab: an annual study program. British Standard of Complete Secondary Education

The educational and educational basis of the English Nursery and Primary School is the state basic British program for preschool children (Early Years Foundation Stage), approved by the Department of Education of England in 2012. Under this program, children study in all international British schools at the preschool department. The Foundation Level program is the first level in children's education from birth to age five (in the UK, children go to school at the age of 5).

British National Curriculum:

Baby Club (1.5-3 years old)

EYFS Early Development Program (3-5 years)

Key Stage 1 (5-7 years)

Key Stage 2 (7-11 years old)

ESL (English as a Second Language)

Program Goals

ENS works by immersion in the English language environment, which is created by native English teachers from the UK.
English within the framework of this program is both the object of study and the main tool for learning and communication. EYFS priority is holistic approach to the upbringing and education of children, their harmonious relations with people and the world as a whole (personal, social and emotional well-being), self-respect and self-confidence, independence, a sense of team, the ability to self-development and self-learning, which are key in modern education and upbringing for all its levels.

To achieve these goals, we have:

Specialists

Certified teachers from English-speaking countries, Russian-speaking teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, sports coaches.

small groups

As a rule, the daily routine consists of group and individual lessons. During classes, children are often divided into subgroups of 4-8 (depending on age) people.

Development monitoring

The most important task of education is to control the successes and difficulties in the development of each child, therefore, scheduled individual meetings of the teacher with parents are held twice a year. At the end of the school year, parents receive a detailed report on the 7 areas of development about the progress of the child. The development of each child is monitored by a professional child psychologist, who not only solves psychological problems in a playful way, but also timely determines the difficulties at each stage of the child's development.

Balanced Schedule

A carefully planned, psychologically sound and balanced schedule is developed for children, motivating them to cognitive and creative activity and allowing them to develop successfully.

Baby Club (1.5-3 years old)

For the youngest (ages 1.5-3 years old), ENS successfully operates the Baby Club, which helps future pupils to better adapt to the language, the atmosphere of an English kindergarten and successfully start learning.

Baby Club, like the English kindergarten, is a "language immersion environment", only relatively short - only 1.5 hours 2 times a week. In the Baby Club, kids communicate with English-speaking teachers, parents, peers, play educational games, play music. A warm and friendly atmosphere, the presence of a loved one, a small number of children in the group, as well as the professional work of an experienced teacher who skillfully organizes children and keeps their attention contribute to the quick adaptation of kids to the Baby Club environment.

The child is accustomed to the next visit to the ENS kindergarten, the subsequent adaptation in the Nursery group (3-4 years) is much easier, the English language is well perceived, the rules and discipline in the kindergarten are clear.

EYFS Early Development Program (3-5 years)

The basis of the educational bilingual program for teaching English to preschool children at ENS is:

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)- the state national British educational program of early development for children of preschool age (3-5 years) "Basic level". This program was approved by the UK Department of Education in 2002, modified in February 2013, and is considered a new stage in children's education from 3 to 5 years. This stage of a child's development is important not only in itself, it is also basic in preparing children for further education.

The EYFS program includes: 7 development areas, 17 early learning objectives/aspects.

Key Stage 1 (5-7 years)

The Foundation Level Program prepares children for the start of Key Stage 1, British National Primary Curriculum (BNPC) - the British primary education system and is part of this system. In the UK, unlike in Russia, at the age of 5, children go to the first grade of school and from that time study according to the British Primary School Program (British National Curriculum).

Pupils of ENS at the age of 5 to 7 years old become schoolchildren and, in accordance with the British educational program, begin to study under the British National Primary Curriculum, Key Stage 1 primary school program.

In the primary grades of the British school, children study the world around them, mathematics, reading and writing, but still mainly in a playful way, given their age characteristics. Also (at the choice of parents) from 5-7 years old, children begin to study according to the program of preparation for the Russian school. The practice of parents choosing the integration of two educational programs shows the admission and successful education of children, both in international and in Russian schools.

Key Stage 2 (7-11 years old)

At the age of 7-11 years, children move to the next level of Key Stage 2 of the British National Primary Curriculum. According to the British program, our students study every day until 15:30, after 15:30 and on Saturdays there are classes according to the Russian program.

These programs of pre-school and primary education form the basis of teaching children in UK schools and are used in all international schools operating in the British education system.

ESL (English as a Second Language)

English Nursery and Primary School offers an ESL (English as a Second Language) program for children 4-6 years old without knowledge of English. The main purpose of the ESL class is to prepare for the transition to the classes of the main British National Primary Curriculum.

This program is an intensive course during which children learn English, forming basic knowledge and competencies in writing, mathematics and reading.

During classes, interactive teaching methods are used: role-playing games, visiting educational programs and modern creative pedagogical technologies, which allows achieving positive results and progress in mastering a foreign language, there is a midnight development of the child's personality in creative and physical directions.

The factors for successful learning in the ESL classroom are the professionalism of ENS teachers, who use an individual differentiated approach to each child.

Studying abroad has many advantages. This is a high level of training of specialists, the use of the latest methods and developments, comfortable learning conditions, internships in the best companies in the world. A diploma from a well-known foreign university is highly rated around the world.

However, it is necessary to prepare for admission to foreign universities long before receiving a certificate and passing the exam. Despite the fact that the Russian educational program is very strong, graduates studying only according to it experience difficulties with admission. This is the lack of knowledge of the English language at the proper level, and the fundamental differences in the schemes of education.

Lyceum International University

International private schools in Russia allow you to get a quality education and enter the best universities in the world without any problems. As a rule, training is conducted in them under two programs at once, Russian and foreign. As a result, graduates receive 2 certificates at once, successfully enter the most prestigious universities. We are talking about schools that have licenses and certificates from international and English examination boards. Depending on the specific type of certificate, an international school can only teach English and help prepare for exams, or has the right to conduct tests and administer exams. Some schools use the Russian curriculum, supplemented by subjects from the programs of the University of Cambridge or the International Baccalaureate.

Please note that international private schools may use either the English National Curriculum or the International Baccalaureate Curriculum. In the first case, an A-Level certificate is issued, in the second - IB. Both programs are valued by the world's leading universities, but their teaching principles differ significantly. Consider this at the stage of choosing a suitable private school.

The A-Level program involves an independent choice of 3-4 core subjects from a wide list of disciplines. They are selected taking into account the requirements of the university to which the graduate plans to apply. If desired, students can perform research work and arrange the results in the form of a detailed essay.

Unlike A-Level, in the Diploma Program, the student chooses one subject from 6 groups (but the study of mathematics, native and foreign languages is mandatory). At the same time, half of the selected subjects are studied at an advanced level, and the second - at a standard level. In the IB course, conducting research and writing a detailed essay is a must.

Distinctive features of children's English schools

AT international private schools it is important to create a healthy psycho-emotional atmosphere for students. Children have to master the most complex programs, study languages in depth. In schools, great attention is paid to each child, teachers, together with a psychologist, evaluate the capabilities of each student, and, if necessary, conduct individual classes. Curricula are drawn up in such a way as to evenly distribute disciplines, alternate physical and mental stress, work and rest.

The qualifications of the teacher are of great importance. The schools in question accept experienced teachers who can find an approach to children and present information in an interesting way.

The best children's English schools have powerful equipment: laboratories, a modern library, a developed sports base, computer classes, and conditions for art classes. Equipping classes is also important for the implementation of modern educational programs. They should be equipped with interactive whiteboards, projectors, comfortable and safe furniture.

Kraenskaya Julia, Fedorova Natalia

In the academic year 2012-2013, we attended classes in Russian and would like to express our deep gratitude to our teacher Joyce Clark!

Our classes were filled with creativity, sincere communication and humor. Much attention was paid to the aspect of speaking and listening, but we also acquired very valuable skills in writing in all its directions.

But all this we were able to achieve solely thanks to our teacher! Her competent approach to teaching, a wonderful sense of humor, respect for the listener and tact make Joyce one of the best teachers at LL!

Kostareva L.V.

This is my third time attending teacher training seminars organized by Language Link.

Only positive feedback! I would especially like to note the work of Irina Fedorova. She is an amazing teacher, bursting with ideas and positive emotions.

For myself, I discovered a lot of new, interesting ideas, approaches. Many thanks to Irina, who, being at the forefront of the educational process, shares the accumulated material and helps to take a fresh look at many things.

From Language Link - the best impressions. I wish you prosperity in the future.

Elena Ivanova

Gratitude to the teacher of TKT Veronika Bandurina.

One and a half months have passed since the end of the TKT courses (theoretical and practical). Great things are seen at a distance and are known by comparison. Veronica's teaching methodology deserves the highest praise. I would like her to teach other courses for teachers. She made a real revolution in my practical work. Huge thanks to her. Creative success!

Alena Nikitina

I am writing with a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation to my teacher Veronika Bandurina. I studied on the course "Preparation for the TKT exam" from February to May 2014. I want to express my admiration for Veronica's professionalism and level of English. At the first lesson, it seemed to me personally that she was a native speaker. Veronika knows how to win over and "talk", so to speak, to include all members of the group in the process. She has a sense of humor and is absolutely not indifferent to everyone, you could always turn to her for help and clarification on the topics of the course and not only! The course is built very competently, not burdened with unnecessary theory (you can read it at home) and very practical. I just opened my eyes to how you can teach English! Not at all the way I was taught before. And it was easy and pleasant to study with Veronica!

A month has passed since I graduated from the courses, and I really miss the classes, I remember the training and my group with pleasure ... I will definitely return to TKT Practical only to Veronica!

Special thanks to the manager Elena Bobrova: she is wonderful, pleasant to talk to and very responsive.

Thank you Language Link school, I am very glad that I chose you!

Tatyana Milyaeva
