The Black Life of Black America. Racial overtones of social inequality in the United States

The ancestors of American blacks were taken out of Africa about 300 years ago. On the territory of Africa, trading posts of slave dealers were created, who in every possible way (by violence, soldering, deceit) captured blacks, chained them in stocks or chains. Ships regularly came from the United States, on which blacks were driven into the holds, battened down and taken into slavery.

By the way, the cost of one slave in the United States reached $2,000, while in Africa it was bought from dealers for 400 liters of rum, or $20. The slave traders explained the considerable cost of the Negroes at that time by their high mortality on the way from Africa to America. In fact, according to historical sources, out of every ten blacks on the coast of the United States, only one most often reached. In the years 1661-1774 alone, about a million live slaves were imported from Africa to the United States, and more than nine million died along the way.

US black to white ratio

Since 1790, a census has been regularly conducted in the United States every 10 years. I think that no one will be surprised by the fact that the absolute number of blacks is growing every year. If in 1790 there were 757,208 of them, then at the time of the last census in 2000, there were already 37,104,248 blacks in the United States.

However, if you look at the relative numbers, then a rather interesting situation arises. In 1790, the United States was 19.3% black and 80.7% white, and in 2000 the ratio of blacks to whites was already 13% and 82%, respectively. Do you notice the strangeness? The relative number of whites practically does not change and is about 80% of the population, while the relative number of blacks has decreased by almost a third over 200 years. Why? To answer this question, let's turn to genetics ...

Gene Migration

In the US, offspring from mixed marriages between whites and blacks are classified as blacks. The frequency of the allele that controls the Rh factor in the white population of the United States is 0.028. In blacks of African tribes, the frequency of this allele is 0.630. However, in the modern black population of the United States, whose ancestors were taken out of Africa 300 years (about 10 generations) ago, the frequency of this allele is already 0.446. Thus, the flow of genes from the white population to the Negro went at a rate of 3.6% per 1 generation. As a result, after 10 generations, the share of genes of African ancestors is now 0.694 of the total number of genes of the modern black population of the United States. Or, in other words, about 30% of the genes of American blacks inherited from the white population.

If things continue like this, then in 600 years the blacks of the United States will be no different from the whites. Moreover, the lower the percentage of Negro blood in a Negro, the more likely is incest between him and a representative of the white race, so the mixing of races can occur faster. Compare for yourself the likelihood of conceiving a child between an 18th-century blue-black Negro slave and a white man with the likelihood of a relationship between a modern-day American mulatto and a white American brought up on the principles of political correctness.

But I think that it is difficult to convince anyone with numbers and statistics. Therefore, let us turn to more illustrative facts, namely, to compare the appearance of the population of Liberia and the blacks of the United States.

Liberia, Liberia is a free country...

By the way, what do you know about such an African country as Liberia? Is it just what is shown on TV in the news? That some rebels are fighting there, and the population is asking the United States to send its troops there to maintain peace? Do you know why Liberians love and trust the US so much that they ask them, and not, for example, the UN, to intervene in their internal problems?

Well, it's quite a long story, but I'll try to be brief. Look at the picture with the Liberian flag. Does he remind you of anything? ;-) And it was like this...

In 1816, a group of white Americans founded the American Colonization Society in the United States, which set itself the goal of solving the "Negro problem" by settling freed black slaves in Africa. In 1818, two representatives of the society were sent to Africa in search of a place to settle, and in 1820, 88 black colonists, led by three white Americans, headed for the shores of Sierra Leone. Before leaving, they signed a document stating that a representative of the American Colonization Society would manage the future settlement. True, already in Africa, due to the outbreak of malaria, 25 of these colonists died, including all three whites. Of the 63 blacks who survived, some remained in Sierra Leone (whose capital, in memory of this, is called Freetown, that is, “the city of freedom”), and some founded their own settlement.

In 1824, the entire territory of this settlement was named Liberia (from the English liberty - freedom), and its capital - Monrovia in honor of US President James Monroe. About 5 thousand liberated blacks from the United States, having learned about Liberia, went to live in this "country of freedom".

In 1847 the Declaration of Independence was promulgated and a constitution adopted. So there was the first independent state in Africa called the Republic of Liberia. English became the official language, and the Liberian dollar became the currency. True, many years later, English in Liberia turned into "Liberian English", and the US dollar became the currency.

But I will not continue to tell the history of Liberia, although it is full of very interesting facts and curious events. In particular, I have nothing to say about the world's largest merchant fleet, which sails under the Liberian flag. About how the government of Liberia, secretly trading in diamonds from Sierra Leone, almost destroyed the entire global diamond market. About how the American company “Firestone” bought several hundred hectares of territory in Liberia, where until the Second World War (and possibly still) slaves worked on the plantations, extracting rubber for car tires produced by “Firestone”. About how Ukraine sold weapons to Liberia, and what came of it. Perhaps I will tell all these stories some other time, but for now I will continue the story about the Negroes.

Let's look at photographs of blacks in Liberia, in particular photographs of the descendants of former American slaves, and compare them with photographs of blacks living in the United States (hover over the photo to see the captions):

Today, the United States is known throughout the world as a state that in every possible way protects the rights and interests of its citizens, reports.

But racial problems are still not fully resolved in this country. After all, they are deeply rooted in the distant past of the United States. Today we will talk about where African Americans came from in the United States, why slavery was created and how racial segregation took place.

Since the colonization of North America by Europeans, French and British colonists have destroyed most of the indigenous population - the Indians. Since initially factories were not built in America, but plantations were created, there was a demand from white colonial farmers for labor.

Many do not know, but the first slaves in the United States were white slaves. Namely, the Irish, whom the British began to import in large quantities. The Irish trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners into American slavery. His 1625 proclamation declared the necessity of sending Irish political prisoners abroad and selling them to English settlers in the West Indies.

From 1641 to 1652 The British killed over 500,000 Irish and sold another 300,000 into slavery. During this decade alone, the population of Ireland fell from 1,500,000 to 600,000 people. Families were separated, as the British did not allow Irish men to take their wives and children with them to America. This has left a population of homeless women and children helpless. But the British also sold them through slave auctions.

Soon, British colonists accidentally capture a Portuguese ship with African slaves, and a new era of slavery begins in America. British colonists begin to buy African slaves in the slave markets.

Attempts by the colonialists to make slaves of the Indians did not lead to success. The Indians were a proud and unwilling people. In the 17th century, there were several tens of thousands of Indian slaves in America. But in general, they died quickly, and many fled the plantations. Thus, the slave owners refused to keep the Indians in slavery, as it was not economically profitable. It was much more profitable to buy slaves from Africa.

Slave labor was widely used in the plantation economy. In the first half of the 19th century, the national wealth of the United States was largely based on the exploitation of slave labor. During the period from the 16th century to the 19th century, about 12 million Africans were brought to the countries of America, of which about 645 thousand were brought to the territory of the modern United States.

In 1850, the US Congress passed the Fugitive Slave Act. The law obligated the population of all states to actively participate in the capture of runaway slaves and provided for severe punishment for slaves, those who harbored them and those who did not contribute to the capture of a slave. In all the southern and northern states, special commissioners for catching slaves were established, who were to be assisted. Caught slaves were placed in prison and returned to the slave owner under armed guard. For a slave to be recognized as a fugitive, it was enough for any white to declare and confirm under oath that this Negro is a slave who fled from him. The passage of the law forced many blacks to flee the United States for Canada.

But not all white Americans supported slavery. There were also opponents of slavery. They were called abolitionists. The bulk of them were Quakers, and by the end of the 18th century the condemnation of slavery became part of the European Enlightenment movement.

After the victory of the Americans over the British in the struggle for independence, slavery continued to exist.

In the northern states, slavery was officially banned by the middle of the 19th century, but in half of the other states it actively existed (mainly in the south).

As a result, slavery was abolished after the end of the Civil War of 1861-1865 and the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment to the US Constitution in December 1865. But in the end, racism did not disappear even after that.

Slavery was replaced by racial segregation and apartheid. Their first signs are separate schools (for whites and blacks), separate public transportation (existed until the 1970s), bans on co-location in hotels and motels, separation of cafes and restaurants only for whites and for "colored" and blacks. , in the field of services, Negro military units and the like.

After the civil war, southern soldiers created a secret racist organization, the Ku Klux Klan. Adherents of this organization defended such ideas as white supremacy, white nationalism.

According to the laws of the city of Montgomery in Alabama, black citizens were not supposed to occupy the first four rows on buses, since they were intended "only for whites" - this was evidenced by a sign at the entrance. If all the "whites only" seats were occupied, then seated blacks had to give up their "black" seats to white passengers. Equivalent to this can be considered toilets in roadside establishments (including bus stations), in which there was a strict segregation by skin color.

On December 1, 1955, 42-year-old black Alabama seamstress Rosa Parks did not give up her seat to a white man in Montgomery. She was arrested and sentenced to a fine. That same year, in Montgomery, five more women, two children, and scores of black men were arrested on buses. One black driver shot dead on the spot. Then, at the initiative of Martin Luther King, black residents of the city announced a general boycott of public transport. Black car owners transported "skin brothers" on their own, without any payment. African Americans supported the boycott for 381 days, which was called the "Walk for Freedom".

In 1951, Oliver Brown, a black Kansas resident, filed a lawsuit against the city's school board on behalf of his eight-year-old daughter (Brown v. Board of Education). In the lawsuit, Brown pointed out that his daughter should attend a white school, which was 5 blocks from home, as opposed to the "black school", which was located 21 blocks away (in fact, on the opposite outskirts of town). When the court denied Brown's claim, other blacks filed similar lawsuits both in Kansas and other states (South Carolina, Virginia, and Delaware). After a series of trials, the case was accepted by the US Supreme Court, which in 1954 found that segregation in schools deprives black children of "equal protection under the laws", which is contrary to the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution. The court decision established a legal ban on racial segregation in schools in these states.

In 1957, federal troops entered the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, due to the refusal of the state governor to comply with a court decision.

On the first day of school in early September, nine black children (later known as the "Little Rock Nine") attempt to enter the school, but are met with bayonets by armed soldiers of the State National Guard under the governor's command. A crowd of whites intimidates children - threats, insults. One of the schoolgirls, Elizabeth Eckford, shares her memories of her first day at school:

I went to the school and ran into a guard who let white students through... When I tried to squeeze past him, he raised his bayonet, then the other guards did the same... They looked at me so hostilely that I was very frightened and did not know what to do. I turned around and saw that a crowd was advancing on me from behind ... Someone shouted “Lynch her! Lynch her!" I tried to find with my eyes at least one friendly face in the crowd, at least someone who could help me. I looked at one elderly woman, and her face seemed kind to me, but when our eyes met again, she spat on me ... Someone shouted, “Drag her to the tree! Надо заняться ниггером!».

Prominent public figures such as Martin Luthern King, Malcolm X and the Black Panther Party actively fought for the rights of African Americans.

Massive racial discrimination in the US did not only affect African Americans. The Indians, Puerto Ricans and Mexicans were subjected to racial segregation in the United States, the last since the capture by the United States of most of the territory of what was then Mexico - present-day Texas and the entire American south in the 1840s, Puerto Ricans since the "voluntary" entry of Puerto Rico into the composition of the United States, and the Indians - since their almost complete extermination at the end of the 19th century.

Also, 120 thousand Japanese Americans were subjected to racial segregation during the Second World War. For several years before the end of the war, Japanese Americans lived in concentration camps for prisoners of war, despite the fact that they had American citizenship.

There is currently no official racism in the US. The last state to ratify the abolition of slavery was Mississippi, which officially recognized slavery as unconstitutional and illegal in 2013.

I have repeatedly expressed and substantiated the idea that the existence of the criminal-political entity "United States of America" threatens the development and existence of human civilization.

This is most fully disclosed in the article The Limits to Growth. Why there will be no sixth technological order

In short, we can say that this happens for two reasons:

America, as a whole, consumes much more of the world's resources than it produces;

America, as the governing structure of the world, gives human civilization incorrect global target designations, in connection with which humanity is inevitably heading into a civilizational resource and energy dead end.

The phrase "All Americans in coffins" could serve as a logical conclusion, but in the discussion there were several counterarguments that can be fully or partially considered reasonable, and in particular the following:

Not all Americans are bad, America has agriculture, extractive industries and industries that produce goods and resources needed by the whole world (and the Americans themselves in the first place);

Civilization needs elite consumers who create the need for new, modern things and thereby move forward progress.

Of course, you can put forward a few counter-counterarguments, for example, the classic amendment “good Americans in good coffins”, as well as question the value and necessity of the modern understanding of progress, in which every three to five years people are forced to throw a lot of workers into the dump, but “ obsolete things. But, as I said, I recognize a certain reasonableness of such arguments, and therefore I consider it possible to make amendments and clarifications to the concept.

First of all, let's exclude from the entire population of America those who are engaged in relatively intelligent and productive work: those employed in agriculture, in mines and in factories. In America, for this part of the population there is a half-contemptuous, half-mocking nickname - rednecks. Despite the fact that this part of the population is undergoing genocide and is gradually declining, it is still quite numerous and retains a certain influence in the "deep" states of the rust belt.

The second category that we will exclude are wealthy (middle and upper class) WASP Americans. Although their civilizational value in most cases tends to zero, one can agree that they justify their existence by contributing to the management of society (of a rather low level, however), promoting progress through elite consumption, and in general, as a class, their work and productive contribution to civilization is equal to, higher than or slightly less than their consumption.

And in the bottom line, we still have several groups of the population:

Hereditary unemployed;

Criminality;

People employed in fake jobs are professional athletes, mouth singers and other performance and installation artists, "dog stylists", "professional gay activists", "professional greens" and other public whose contribution to the real economy is deeply negative;

Retirees who have lived their lives in the ranks of one of the three above groups;

People employed in the service sector and living in areas where the main population is the four above groups.

That is, if in some California town thirty percent of the population is employed in Hollywood, twenty percent are pensioners, ten percent are officials, twenty percent are unemployed, and the rest work as cashiers, bartenders, taxi drivers and other servants, then the contribution of this city to the economy of the planet is negative. And if tomorrow the entire population of the town dies from a disease transmitted by unconventional love, then the planet's economy will recover (not a fake GDP indicator, but a real economy). The same can be said about some suburb of a large American city, populated mainly by hereditary Afro-unemployed.

According to a recent study, 43% of American families cannot afford to pay for normal food and lodging. () To a greater extent, they are included in the specified category of "economically negative population", although, of course, there are exceptions. That is, we can assume that from 20 to 40% of the American population belongs to this category.

The argument for this fact is as follows:

Among this population, it is considered normal to exist from generation to generation on state benefits, criminal proceeds and odd jobs;

Established practice requires the employment of a certain number of African Americans, even if they do not perform their duties in the best way;

Educational and vocational levels are on average extremely low, and with the murder of American industry, jobs are being lost where they could be productive.

Of course, this is all true only statistically, since there are many professional workers and specialists among African Americans. It must be understood that in this context, “African Americans” is a certain symbol, since not all blacks will be included in this group, but it will include many Indians, Latinos, especially from the Caribbean, Arabs and other Muslims, and even some whites . The main criteria for referring to "African Americans" in this case will be the following:

Chronic dislike for any kind of creative work;

Contempt for intelligence and education;

Aggressiveness;

The feeling that everyone owes him.

Maintaining a certain, albeit not too high (by American standards) income level among this population group is extremely important for the American state for the following reasons:

- Social. The need to maintain minimal social stability in society requires a certain "bribery" of this population. In those cases when the African American population becomes dissatisfied with their standard of living, they tend to protest on the streets in order to destroy, plunder and plunder something. The trigger, as a rule, is the murder of someone from among them, and no matter how justified, but the reason is precisely dissatisfaction with one's life. For the state, it is cheaper, especially taking into account political and image losses, to “flood problems with money” instead of the total genocide of the African American population and / or the maintenance of an overly large repressive apparatus;

- economic. For many types of businesses, the low-paid segments of the population are the target market, and maintaining solvent demand among them is a prerequisite for generating income and profit when selling goods such as iPhones;), cheap products, Chinese goods, relatively cheap housing and cheap and / or used /y cars. This is achieved both by constantly reducing the cost of goods, by moving production abroad, and by reducing rates and requirements for subprime loan products. Unfortunately, an important mechanism that ensures the solvency of these segments of the population is also the understatement of the price of gasoline (through the understatement of the price of oil);

- political. The disproportionate electoral system in America puts the "golden share" in the hands of some segments of the population. First of all, these are those segments of the population that are easily manipulated and controlled. One such group is the African American population. On the one hand, it is quite cohesive, isolated and "always offended." On the other hand, it is quite easily manipulated with the help of Protestant black churches. In many states, whether or not black women go to the polls determines which candidate wins. And since in the current equilibrium system, victory in the whole country sometimes depends on victory in one or two states, the value of “black votes” increases many times over.

The combination of these factors causes the American elites to give a disproportionate share of total spending to the consumption of the African American population. And this policy will always continue, at least as long as the existing political and economic system of America is in place.

To assume that tomorrow the "white gentlemen" will give the command to drive blacks into camps and / or completely stop paying benefits is absolutely stupid and naive. They operate within a certain matrix, and without a “revolutionary” change in the political mechanism of the state, no changes in this matrix are possible. At the same time, one cannot refer to the practice of the eighteenth-nineteenth-early twentieth century, since then blacks did not have the right to vote, and their role in political manipulation was minimal.

It cannot even be expected that in the event of a shortage of resources within the country, targeted measures will be taken, primarily depriving African Americans of their usual level of income. You need to understand that the top of the political establishment does not suffer from racism at all;) and they absolutely do not care which of the citizens of the country will be the first to deprive of rations. First of all, those who are the least violent and restless will be deprived, and last of all, those on whom victory in the elections depends. It can be assumed that the government, even in a deficit, will try to provide the minimum needs of the African American population, even to the detriment of the remnants of the middle class. Of course, this primarily concerns Democrats, but even Republicans in power will be afraid to deprive African Americans of their "legitimate" privileges. This is wonderfully illustrated by the situation around Obamacare. To bribe the African American population, Obama and the Democrats promoted this program in 2010. The move turned out to be correct and in many ways helped Obama get a second term, and only the intervention of the Roman goddess Fortune and the Ukrainian god the Darkest prevented the Democrats from retaining the throne in the sixteenth year. But the Republicans, having come to power, could not and did not dare to destroy this program, because they understand that after that their illusory chances for re-election would go into the category of purely virtual chances.

Another thing is that in the conditions of a deficit and, probably, the emergence of inflation, the fixed incomes and benefits of the African American population will be destroyed first of all, and the system's ability to redistribute the remaining resources will be very limited. Therefore, in the face of a serious systemic crisis, as the society loses control and the shortage of resources grows, the African American population will get out of control, act as a catalyst for the destruction of society and cyclically reduce the ability of the state to “survive” the crisis. At some point, the use of mass repressive measures will be required, which will mark the beginning of the process of disintegration of American civilization.

If we look at the policy of the American elites in recent decades, then we can say that it is twofold and contains two almost equal goals:

Maintaining the happiness of large financial capital, conditionally, this can be considered the task of maintaining the happiness of the Jewish diaspora;

Maintaining the happiness of the underpaid segments of the population, conditionally, is the happiness of the African American population.

It is clear that the priority is the happiness of big capital, but you need to understand that these tasks are very strongly intertwined.

First, it is difficult for capital to be happy without windfall in the subprime lending markets;

Secondly, it is difficult for capital to be happy without having received / without intercepting the levers of government;

Thirdly, it is difficult to live in a civil war.

Fourth,…

Well, and so on and so forth ... without buying the peace and loyalty of the lower layers of the pyramid, big capital is unable to effectively take power over the middle layers, receive stable incomes, and ensure complete and uncomplicated happiness.

You need to understand that every time the Democrats come to power, the speed of the world's slide to the abyss will slightly accelerate. Every time the Republicans are in power, they will seek to reverse the process. And this is absolutely not because they are worried about the fate of the world, but solely because the process of destruction of the real economy of America, and, consequently, the creeping process of the destruction of the country, and the process of civilization moving into a resource and energy dead end, are a single process. Like two sides of the same coin.

Because the Republicans are technically incapable of either eliminating the African American sub-ethnicity or abolishing the dollar's status as the main reserve currency, their attempts to reverse the process, that is, to make America Great Again, are as fruitless as the notorious attempts of a gay family to conceive a child. But the very attempts to slow down the process make them at least stop making efforts to speed up the process, and at least by this they are rendering a certain service to civilization.

In this regard, one must understand that the Republican Party is an objective and involuntary ally of Russia. “Objective” - because they are “enemies” of African Americans (although rather not enemies, but “ill-wishers”), and “Involuntary” - because subjectively, the degree of Russophobia among Republicans is no less, and perhaps more, than among Democrats .

Unfortunately, I predict that the current term of the Republican President will be the last, and even in the twentieth year, the Republicans will not be able to get the throne for a second term. In the future, as the redneck sub-ethnos dies out, and the proportion of African Americans, Latinos and LGBT people among the American population increases, the chances of the classic Republicans to return to power will more and more tend to zero.

Globally, our country, existing in the status of a semi-colony, is unable to significantly influence the processes in the metropolis. I still think that the appointment of the Blackest American presidents is more of a joke and a provocation than a real achievement of our intelligence services. Nevertheless, it would be useful for us to influence American society in order to maintain the influence of the Republicans and reduce the influence of the Democrats, within reasonable limits, of course, and without fanaticism.

What we need to do on a local scale, I have repeatedly written, and within the framework of this article, I see no reason to repeat it. Unfortunately, it does not seem that the new (old) composition of the government could significantly change the country's foreign economic policy.

Well, perhaps it makes sense to reveal a few clarifying questions:

Why do African American unemployed menace civilization, while African unemployed or Indian hereditary beggars do not?

First of all, the question is the ratio of the contribution of these population groups to the real economy of the world (benefit) and the withdrawal of resources from the world economy (harm). If we assume that the benefits for the world per capita from all three groups are approximately the same, then the harm, that is, the expenditure of resources per African American capita, is tens or even hundreds of times greater than the expenditure on the African, Indian or other unemployed of the world.

Secondly, the source of resources has a role. For example, the benefit to the world from tens of thousands of Saudi princes who do nothing hereditary is approximately equal to the benefit from Indian hereditary beggars, but these bastards are fattening, as they say, on their oil reserves given by Allah. Moreover, in order for them to be allowed to fatten on some part of these reserves, they are forced to give most of it to America free of charge, getting back "wealth in candy wrappers." There is a coincidence between the interests of the Saudi princes, who want a high price of oil, and the interests of civilization, which needs a relatively high price of oil. As long as the princes do not succumb to the democrats, their activities are objectively useful.

Of the notable countries, only America and Britain have chronically huge foreign trade deficits, and consequently, only in these two countries, there are significant subsistence populations.

And thirdly, by and large, the fate, life and death of the African population is of no interest to anyone and does not affect world politics in any way. Even humanitarian food supplies to these countries are carried out solely to:

Support sales volumes of product suppliers;

Participate in the process of cutting the allocated funds and distributing food;

Kill the remnants of local African agriculture.

Only in America, the political importance of the African American population, makes them a prominent factor in domestic and foreign policy.

The remaining parts of the population either “live on their own”, and rather serve as a certain additional source of income redistributed in favor of African Americans, or are of no interest due to their small number.

More likely no than yes. Only in America, the presence of a large, but not overwhelming number of African Americans, and the possibility of providing for them at the expense of others, coincided. Only African Americans have degenerated into a specific group, with a feeling that "whites" owe them to the end of time, and at the same time with a contemptuous attitude towards education and work.

Something similar exists and/or is emerging in Western Europe on the basis of groups of rabies imported there, but so far such groups are less numerous, less needed in order to manipulate the electoral process, and in general Europe receives less gratuitous resource and its ability to feed (at someone else's expense) these groups are limited. It can be said that in the competition between African Americans and European fighters, African Americans will win with a crushing score.

Let's sum up some results.

After separating the dollar from the gold backing, and transferring it to the status of an unsecured world reserve currency, America got the opportunity to overestimate the standard of living of its population as a whole, and of its individual groups in particular. The vicissitudes of America's political and economic evolution have led to the fact that at present there is a huge segment of the population in the country who has the opportunity either not to work at all, or not to do useful work in principle, but nevertheless have a standard of living that in most other countries of the world would be considered average.

In part, America is in the position of a hostage, which is forced to bribe a bandit to ensure its peace of mind. Fortunately for America, it has the opportunity, and is taking advantage of this opportunity, to carry out this bribery at the expense of others.

To the question How do African-Americans behave in America? ? What is their percentage in the country of the total US population? given by the author Andrey Gorelov the best answer is African Americans make up 12.4 percent of US citizens, 14.8 percent are Hispanics. According to the Census Bureau, people of color will make up the majority of Americans by 2042. This is only legally living in the States. In fact, there are more whites than people of color. Currently, the Negro population is widely represented in many US states. But if in the south a significant part of blacks (up to a third) still lives in rural areas, then in the north of the United States - in large cities, where many traditionally live in special areas with a relatively low standard of living - ghettos. The Negro population is characterized by higher employment in industry, mass sectors of the service sector (trade, etc.). At the beginning of the 20th century, many blacks in search of better work moved from the South to the industrial states of the Lake District and the Midwest, large cities. Since the late 1970s, the opposite trend has been observed: more and more immigrants to the north and their descendants are returning to their small homeland - the southern states. The reason for this is the removal of labor-intensive industry to these areas and, as a result, "negro" jobs. In 1863, a crowd of white New Yorkers, dissatisfied with the introduction of universal conscription, staged a large-scale African-American pogrom. Thousands of people were killed, including children. Many were burned alive. Since the abolition of slavery in the South, "lynching" has been practiced - extrajudicial reprisals against African Americans accused of any offense, which ended with the hanging of the victim (the last - in 1946). Since 1865, in the South, the Ku Klux Klan and a number of other racist terrorist organizations have pursued a policy of intimidation of African Americans in order to reduce their political activity. Demonstrative murders of African-American political activists were used as a means (the last - in 1981). In 2005, during the hurricane and flood riots in New Orleans, there were outbreaks of racially motivated violence. In US prisons, since the days of desegregation, there have been regular bloody clashes between prisoners of different skin colors. The traditional region of residence of American blacks is the south of the United States, where they have made a significant contribution to the formation of a unique image of the region, and especially music, cooking, and art. The mass immigration of white Europeans at the end of the 19th century was directed mainly to the north of the country, as well as to the Great Plains. Therefore, with the beginning of the natural growth of the black and colored population, it was the majority in several states of the south. So at the end of the 19th century, blacks made up 75% of the population of South Carolina, more than half (about 60%) of the population of Mississippi, 55% of the population in Louisiana, from a third to a half of the population of Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Virginia etc. The position of blacks in the traditional regions of the south was very difficult due to the dominance of the Ku Klux Klan and the rule of Jim Crow laws. In the 1930-1970s, the so-called Great Migration of African Americans took place, when hundreds of thousands of them went en masse to work in factories and factories in large cities of the north (Chicago, New York, etc.) ...

US presidential candidate Donald Trump in one of his regular speeches touched on the social status of the African American population. So, he stressed that African Americans live in poverty, and the schools that teach African American children are "no good." Hillary Clinton, if she wins the presidential election, is more likely to provide jobs to refugees from the Middle East than African Americans who "become refugees in their own country."

Of course, Donald Trump's words are just words. In an attempt to win the support of African-American voters, Trump will continue to promise them a better life if he wins the election. But as far as the social status of the African American population is concerned, there is no doubt about the truth of Mr. Trump's words. African Americans are indeed a socially disadvantaged group of the American population - and this despite the fact that they are not immigrants, migrants or refugees.

Despite the fact that in the United States the equality of the white and black population is declared in every possible way, the socio-economic situation of African Americans practically does not change from this. Moreover, measures to "eliminate discrimination" are almost exclusively advocacy in nature. For example, the use of the word “Negro” in the United States has become almost treated as a crime, as discrimination against blacks, but at the same time, millions of African Americans live in total poverty and no steps are taken by the American authorities to get them out of this state. You can make thousands of films with a positive black hero, introduce special tolerance courses into school curricula, even make a black person the president of the country - but in the absence of real measures to eliminate unemployment, improve education, increase wages, all these propaganda steps turn into empty air shaking. There is no relationship between black President Barack Obama and the millions of socially deprived populations in American cities. Some experts speak of current American policy towards the Negro population as "affirmative discrimination." Now they prefer not to talk about discrimination against blacks in the United States, ignoring the very fact of the deepest social and economic problems that are associated with the situation of the African American population of the country.

One of the most important manifestations of the true social position of African Americans in the United States is economic inequality. Until now, African Americans, on average, are much poorer than representatives of other ethnic and racial groups in the American population. This is due to the persistence of poverty in African American communities. Poverty is inherited, poverty drags on, becomes the most important obstacle to social mobility. Many African Americans have achieved success in the US - they are present in politics, in business, in sports, in culture. But the majority of the country's African Americans still remain much poorer than whites. Moreover, the poverty of the African American population is growing, not decreasing. This is facilitated by the specifics of the development of the American economy. As the market demand for unskilled labor declines, more and more African Americans without a normal education remain in the category of perpetual unemployed. If in 2000 the median income of an African American household was 64% of the income of a white American household, then eleven years later, in 2011, it was already 58% of the median income of a white household. That is, the income of the African American population on average decreased by 6%. In the four years from 2005 to 2009, the gap in the financial wealth of African Americans and whites also widened. If in 2005 African Americans had eleven times less assets than whites, then in 2009 they already had twenty times less assets.

Total poverty forces many African Americans to depend on social assistance from the state and charitable organizations. At the same time, it is worth dispelling the illusions of some Russians who believe that the amount of social assistance in the United States is very significant, and that most African Americans live precisely “on benefits”. This is nothing more than speculation. In the end, it is beneficial just to the American leadership, since the full responsibility for the social and economic situation of the black population in this case is shifted from the state to the African Americans themselves - they say, the state does everything it can, pays benefits, and the blacks themselves are lazy and do not want to work. In fact, there are approximately 14 million people in the United States who receive gratuitous social assistance. Of these, 65% are children and adolescents. That is, two-thirds of social assistance falls on helping children from low-income families. Strictly speaking, what else can children live on, if not on benefits, if their parents are either absent or unable to earn money? Most of the remaining 35% of social assistance recipients are women. And it's not only African-American women, but also white ones. There are even more whites - 38% against 37% of African Americans. The remaining recipients of social assistance - representatives of other racial and ethnic groups, including Hispanics, Asians, Indians.

The economic inequality of African Americans is exacerbated by social inequality. At one time, the famous French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu wrote about three types of capital - economic, social and cultural. Social and cultural capital is equally important, since it is the possession of them that allows families to provide education and careers for their children. The African American population of the United States, with rare exceptions, has minimal social and cultural capital. Today, over 70% of African American children are born out of wedlock. It is clear that most of them are then brought up in single-parent families, where the only breadwinner is the mother. For comparison, only 25% of white children are born outside of official marriage. Naturally, this circumstance alone has a huge impact on the social position of the African American population, determining the future of most children at the bottom of the social hierarchy of American society.

The social inequality of African Americans and whites is a natural consequence of the discriminatory policies implemented in the first half of the twentieth century. After all, the abolition of segregation in the United States occurred only in the 1960s, and then thanks to an active social movement on the one hand, and the difficult international situation on the other. In a country that today is trying to pass itself off as a stronghold of world democracy, a few decades ago there was an officially confirmed inequality of the rights of representatives of different races. Until now, white and black Americans consider themselves to be representatives of different social groups. African Americans have their own identity, which in some aspects not only does not intersect with the common American identity, but also contradicts it. What is, for example, the massive spread of Islam among black Americans. To some extent, the adoption of Islam was seen by many African Americans as a way to emphasize their "otherness", belonging not to the world of European culture associated with Christianity, but to the Afro-Arab world. However, the majority of African Americans still profess Christianity, although many of them belong to purely African American church communities, which also practically do not intersect with the "white" world.

African American culture emphasizes the differences between African Americans and whites. To a certain extent, we are dealing with "racism in reverse." The ideologists of African American socio-political movements in the first half - mid-twentieth century. they tried to develop their own concepts that explained the differences between blacks and whites and even some superiority of blacks over whites. Africans were prescribed greater sensuality, intuitiveness, in contrast to representatives of the Caucasian race. During the period of decolonization of the African continent, the ideas of "African exceptionalism" were raised to the shield by many politicians who came to power in African countries. These ideas, in particular, imply a critical attitude towards the achievements of European civilization, which is regarded as less humane than the civilizations of the African continent. Of course, the inhabitants of the African-American "ghettos" in the United States do not think about such high matters, but they draw a line of difference from whites quite clearly. For example, among African-American teenagers, the image of a school honors student, a guy or a girl, poring over textbooks and linking his future activities with mental work, is not popular.

Among African-American teenagers, another model of achieving success in life is more popular, associated at best with a sports or musical career, and at worst, simply with crime. Many African American children, even those who are naturally capable, deliberately do not show diligence in their studies so as not to stand out from the general African American environment and not come into conflict with other blacks. This, in particular, was written by George Akerlof in his work The Economics of Identity. But if the white Akerlof could still be reproached for being biased, then what about the conclusions of another researcher - the Nigerian sociologist John Ogbu, who moved to the United States and got a job teaching at the University of Berkeley in California? Ogbu even coined the term "Bad Diligence Syndrome", which he uses to characterize the attitude of African American children towards learning. Moreover, even children from high-status and wealthy African-American families who attend prestigious schools where representatives of various racial and ethnic groups study are not eager to learn. “Positive discrimination” also played a role in consolidating such an attitude to learning - such children expect to enter colleges and universities on the benefits that exist for African Americans without making any special efforts. It turns out that if the children of the African-American intelligentsia argue this way, then what can we say about the children of the slums?

Economic and social inequality are combined with social deprivation of the African American population of the country. As is known, in percentage terms, the proportion of the Negro population is highest in the southern states, which were once strongholds of plantation slavery. There is still a very large African American population in states such as South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, which are considered the most "black" US states. But an impressive number of African Americans also live in large cities of the country, primarily in New York. In areas densely populated by African Americans, sociologists note a much worse standard of living than in areas where white Americans live. "Negro quarters" in fact, are social ghettoes, in which total poverty caused by unemployment, street crime, drug addiction and drug trafficking, alcoholism, and prostitution flourish.

At one time, the American government tried to solve the problems of the slums in which African Americans lived, and began to build new residential areas. However, the high-rise areas inhabited by African Americans have turned into even worse ghettos than the old slums. Sociologist Sadhir Venkatesh notes that plans to improve the living standards of the African American population have actually failed. In residential areas where African Americans live, the main problems have become: overcrowding of apartments, poor and failing public utilities infrastructure, mass poverty on the verge of poverty. Of course, the new areas also have a high level of crime and drug addiction.

The social inequality of the African American population is also clearly manifested in the health sector. Since most African Americans belong to the lower social classes, they simply do not have the money to take care of their health. Plus, the lifestyle that African Americans lead is by no means conducive to improving medical indicators. The life expectancy of African American men and women is 5-7 years lower than the average life expectancy of white Americans. Among African Americans, diseases such as diabetes and hypertension are much more common. Over 30% of African American men and over 41% of women are obese, reflecting poor quality and malnutrition. With regard to the level of AIDS among the African American population, it is approaching the level of African countries. African Americans make up 48% of AIDS patients, while the proportion of African Americans in the total US population is 12.6%. Needless to say, high-quality medical services for the vast majority of African Americans are simply inaccessible due to their high cost, and the culture of caring for one's health has not been developed in African American ghettos. Despite the fact that African-American families have a fairly high birth rate, the crisis of family values in "black" America manifests itself much more clearly. A huge number of children, as we noted above, are born out of wedlock, in fact, a typical African American family is a mother and children or grandmother, mother and children.

From time to time, real uprisings of African Americans break out in the United States, the reason for which, as a rule, is the brutality shown by the police. As a rule, the state solves the issues of suppressing such protests harshly and promptly, not shunning the use of military force, including the introduction of tanks into the streets of rebellious cities. At the same time, of course, the American authorities completely forget about the pseudo-democratic demagogy applied to other countries in such situations. However, the violent suppression of protests does not mean that the problem of social and economic inequality of African Americans can be solved in this way. On the contrary, the position of the African American population has an obvious tendency to gradually worsen, which will be especially noticeable in years to come, given the higher birth rate.
