Communication with parentschildren attending the GPA, as a rule, are closer and more trusting, since the educator spends most of the time with the child, communicates, observes him in different situations and can give parents specific recommendations on raising the child, organizing his leisure time, helping to establish child-parent relations.

The school teachers themselves and the GPA educator fill out free time children with exciting creative activities, activities, games. All kinds of free art worksmugs, sports sectionswhich (by choice) all GPA children attend. Games are of great importance in raising children, expanding their horizons, instilling a love for reading books, and an interest in learning. The game is one of the sources of speech and mental development of children, contributes to the consolidation of knowledge, arouses interest in learning new things, develops curiosity. In primary school age, a significant place is occupied byboard games with rules. Participation in games contributes to the formation of arbitrariness of behavior in children, positively affects moral development. With interest, children participate in discussions on various topics, which teaches children to express their thoughts with reason, to listen and hear the interlocutor, to respect someone else's point of view.

Doing homework is a prerequisite for the stay of children in the GPA. In general, during the time of studying in elementary school, the child should develop the following qualities: arbitrariness, reflection, prerequisites for broad cognitive opportunities; he must successfully master the program; in addition, a qualitatively new, more “adult” type of relationship with teachers and classmates should appear. The mutual assistance of children is actively used: when one child has learned something, understood the material, and the other asked to explain. Each child is given a chance to become a helper for someone, and the children become interesting people for each other, the explainer feels like a significant valuable person. This is how the foundations of effective interaction and cohesion in the team are laid, and interest in educational activities is maintained.

The school is the main assistant in the formation of the personality of the child. A small person enters a new world, he is surrounded by teachers, classmates, children from other classes, new relationships are formed. In modern conditions, the task of the GPA educator is extremely important: to strive to ensure that our children grow up not only as conscious and healthy members of society, but also necessarily initiative, thinking, capable of a creative approach to business. It is interesting that the children who attended the “extended day” kept only good and good memories of it and, having matured, speak very well of the extended day groups.
