PGIC Library- one of the leading structural divisions of the university, providing information to the educational process and research activities.

The library fund contains the literature necessary for the organization of the educational process and research work. Literature is acquired in all specialties studied at the institute, as well as related sciences, which play an important role in the process of training highly qualified specialists. To date, the library fund contains 175,000 copies. scientific, educational, fiction, periodicals, music publications, audio, video and electronic documents. Every year new literature is received on economics and management of socio-cultural activities, cultural studies, art, library science, document science, computer science and other specialized fields of knowledge for universities.

Each student during the entire period of study is provided with individual unlimited access from any point where there is access to the Internet to electronic library systems containing publications on the main disciplines studied:

The library is engaged in scientific and bibliographic work, prepares and publishes personal biobibliographic indexes of university scientists.

The library has created conditions for students from among persons with disabilities and disabilities. There is special equipment: portable video magnifier, Braille keyboard, headphones. The library accumulates various electronic resources that create favorable conditions for the use of the library by persons with disabilities (see section "For Readers - Services"). An agreement was concluded with the Perm Regional Special Library for the Blind on the exchange and issuance of documents in special formats for the blind and visually impaired, the provision of databases of audio files, "speaking" books, unhindered access to the reference and bibliographic apparatus, the transfer for temporary use of special devices for reading "speaking" books (tiflo flash players).

The library of the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University is one of the largest libraries in the Urals. The library fund is 860 thousand printed units. The formation of the library fund is carried out by acquiring documents in accordance with educational programs, curricula, course programs and research topics. The species and genre composition of the fund is diverse: it includes the main book fund in Russian and foreign languages ​​(educational, educational, methodological, scientific and fiction), periodicals in Russian and foreign languages, electronic publications, a fund of rare publications.

At present, the library has 4 branch subscriptions, 2 specialized reading rooms, and a room for electronic information resources. The library is used by about 6,000 people. Every year the number of visits to the library is about 300,000, the annual book lending is 450,000 printed units.

Since 2001, the library has been working on the computerization of library processes. Since 2002, the FB PSGPU has maintained an Electronic Catalog, since 2013 an Electronic Library has been created. Currently includes 3 databases:

  1. Consolidated catalog- includes bibliographic records for books, abstracts, dissertations, musical and electronic publications received by the library for the period from January 2002 to the present. The database contains full-text versions of educational and scientific publications of PSGPU teachers. Since 2006, a retrospective conversion has been carried out in the database, the planned input of information is carried out in alphabetical order, information is entered on all publications stored in the library fund from the letter A to the syllable An, records are made for books from the library's rare fund. Records for books from subscription resources (EBS, EB) are loaded into the database.
  2. Periodicals- includes bibliographic entries for magazines, newspapers subscribed by the library, and analytical description of articles from some magazines and newspapers. Conducted since 2010. Records are made to the database for periodicals from subscription resources.
  3. Articles- includes bibliographic descriptions and electronic versions of articles by PSGPU teachers and staff published in scientific journals, including those from the list of VAK, as well as those included in scientometric databases (RSCI, Scopus, Web of Science), publications from collections of scientific papers and conferences. Records for articles from the Interuniversity Electronic Library (OIE) are loaded into the database.

Signed an agreement with LLC IP Air Media to provide access to the basic version of the electronic library system IPRbooks. ELS contains more than 28,000 educational and scientific publications in various disciplines, over 200 titles of Russian and foreign journals.

A contract was concluded for the provision of services to provide access to the basic collection EBS "Urayt", which contains over 8000 items, , for the most part, these are textbooks and teaching aids for all levels of vocational education from leading scientific schools in compliance with the requirements of the new Federal State Educational Standards.

A cooperation agreement was concluded with the Moscow City Psychological and Pedagogical University. Under the terms of the agreement and on the basis of a license agreement, electronic versions of PSGPU educational and methodological materials developed for training disabled people and persons with disabilities are placed in the MSUPE Electronic Library database and access to collections of materials on the training of persons with disabilities and disabilities (HIA) EB MSUPE.

An agreement was signed on joining the Interuniversity Electronic Library of the West Siberian Zone. Interuniversity electronic library (OIE) was founded in September 2012 for the joint creation and subsequent use of a consolidated information resource of electronic documents created in universities and used in the libraries of these universities to provide educational and research activities of universities. The OIE was created on the basis of the equal participation of libraries of pedagogical universities.

An agreement was signed to provide access to National Electronic Library (NEB). The National Electronic Library (NEB) is the federal state information system that ensures the creation of a unified Russian electronic knowledge space. The National Electronic Library unites the collections of public libraries of Russia at the federal, regional, municipal levels, libraries of scientific and educational institutions, as well as copyright holders.

Accessing the database webofScience(authoritative polythematic abstract-bibliographic bibliometric database) as part of the national subscription project on the basis of a sublicense agreement.

The university subscribed to electronic periodicals east view, with archives of different depths. Access is possible from any computer connected to the university's local network. Remote access to the connected resource is possible by login and password, which can be obtained in the library.

A remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library named after A.I. B. N. Yeltsin (UECHZ). UECHZ is designed to provide access to information resources of the Presidential Library - one of the three national libraries of the Russian Federation, which collects and stores in electronic and digital form printed and archival materials, audio recordings, video and other materials reflecting the centuries-old history of Russian statehood, theory and practice rights.

Access to the UECHZ of the Presidential Library is possible in the departments:

  • Reading room of natural literature (Pushkin St., 42. Library)
  • Reading room of humanitarian literature (Sibirskaya st., 24, main building Library)

On the basis of the Agreement between the GKBUK "PGKUB im. A.M. Gorky and the University, the Library provides information, library and organizational services.

The National Library of PNRPU is the methodological center for libraries of higher education institutions of the region. The work of the association is headed by the Scientific and Methodological Council, which includes the heads of all libraries. The main activities of the libraries are discussed at meetings of the sections of the association. The work of each of the 5 sections is organized by a certain university library.
