Named universities with the highest and lowest scores

The results of admission to universities in 2018 have been summed up.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova named universities, for admission to which it was necessary to score the highest scores. The long-term leader of the list - MGIMO - was ahead of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). The average score this year at MIPT is 96.4 (94.1 last year), while the average score at MGIMO was 95.3 (95.6 last year).

The average passing score exceeded 90 points in five more universities. These are the National Research University Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg University, ITMO, MEPhI and the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics.

Universities, where the average score exceeded 80, this year became 30 - seven more than last year. 41 universities accepted "C" students for state-funded places. These are the students whose average USE result was less than 56 points.

As for specialties, this year applicants with an average score of 80+, as a rule, chose the following areas: jurisprudence, oriental studies, advertising and public relations, linguistics and economics. For the first time, political science and design have been added to the most popular areas this year.

70-80 points became passing for specialties in the field of health care, computer science, computer technology, mathematics, physics, oil and gas business. For the first time in 2018, the threshold of 70 points was crossed by future chemists, applicants in the specialties of biotechnology, informatics and computer engineering.

Low demand this year was for the following specialties: agriculture and fisheries, vehicles, technological machines and equipment, ecology. This was the reason for the low passing score for these directions.

Hello, dear readers of the blog site. In the article where to do with small points, I would like to continue the topic of the article, that article turned out to be popular, I advise you to read it. Today we’ll talk about where you can go if you scored very few points on the exam. I will also write about what the minimum scores are and how they differ. And even for those who managed to pass the exam so that they could not get a certificate, I will tell you where to go. In a brief introduction, I managed to promise a lot, so it's time to get down to business.

Now let's figure out what the USE scores are

In this subparagraph, everything will be brief, because there is no point in pouring water here, and there is no possibility either. There are two types of minimum USE scores - those that you need to score in order to get a certificate and those that are established by Rosobrnadzor for the opportunity to enter.

To obtain a certificate, you must dial:

  • Russian language - 24 points;
  • profile level mathematics - 27 points;
  • Basic level mathematics - 3 points.

As you can see, not getting a certificate is quite difficult, although someone manages to do it. But now is not about that.

The minimum scores for admission to a university established by Rosobrnadzor:

  • Russian language - 36 points;
  • Mathematics (profile level) - 27 points;
  • Social science - 42 points;
  • Physics - 36 points;
  • Literature - 32 points;
  • History - 32 points;
  • Chemistry - 36 points;
  • Foreign language - 22 points;
  • Biology - 36 points;
  • Informatics - 40 points;
  • Geography - 37 points.

But do not rejoice ahead of time. Decent universities set their own minimum scores, which are often much higher than the scores set by Rosobrnadzor. But even these points are not passing points, you can read about what passing points are in the article at the link.

Now sub-items will go, each of which will say where you can go in a given situation, and the items will go from a very small number of points to a more decent amount.

Where to do with microscopic points

Without thinking for a long time, I called the subparagraph so, now I will explain what I meant. Microscopic points are points with which they don’t even issue a certificate, or they issue a certificate, but you still can’t do it, Rosobrnadzor does not order 😊.

Of course, one can say that young people should go to the army, and then movers, and girls should go to wash the floors in the entrances, but I will not do this. To begin with, I will remind you that you have a certificate that you received in the 9th grade. This certificate gives you the opportunity to try to enter a college or technical school and get some kind of specialty, which is not bad at all.

If you have no desire to go to college, but you have a desire to earn money, then you can take professional retraining courses. These courses are very different, young people can find courses for electricians or crane operators, girls for manicure or hairdresser courses. Despite the fact that the duration of these courses is very short, often 3 months, after completing them and with some luck, you can earn quite good money. But the money will not come immediately, first you will need to work with the master for very little money.

By the way, the option with courses is available to everyone. Although you have several higher educations, you can enroll in such courses, no one will be against it.

Rosobrnadzor took and set points

What can I tell you right away ... if you passed mathematics, Russian language and social studies (the most popular USE exam) and scored a little more points in each of the exams than you need in order to be able to enter a university, then your positive should be paid off. The fact is that decent universities will never accept even a paid department of an applicant who has only 110 - 120 points.

And what to do? You ask me. And I'll tell you what to do.

First, you can enroll in college or courses. More details can be found in the previous subparagraph of the article.

Secondly, in addition to those universities that I call decent, there are many more private or commercial or paid universities. You can enter there with scores slightly above the minimum and study without problems. True, you will not receive knowledge in these universities either, but you will have crusts. Someday I will write a long article about a private university, but hardly earlier than in a month.

Summing up this subparagraph, I can say that it is better to go to college and get knowledge and a specialty than to go to a private university and just give money away.

Where to do with small, but not minimum points

Now I will try to help those who scored a little, but still more than 170 (approximately). You have the opportunity to enter not just a decent university, but even enter the budgetary department. Two types of universities can provide this opportunity:

1. Those universities that are not the most prestigious in the city. To enter them, as a rule, you need noticeably fewer points than in the TOP universities of the city or, God forgive me, in the universities of our capitals. So try to apply to these universities, you may be able to enter.

2. Branches of large universities. Not only is it easier to enter them than to the head branch, it is also easier to study, and if you entered a paid department, then studying at the branch will be cheaper than at the head branch. And at the same time, the diploma will not say that you studied at the branch. In general, you can read more at the link that was at the beginning of the paragraph.

The next 2 points were born not because I remembered them, but simply Ekaterina suggested to me, for which many THANKS to her!

3. If there are not enough points even to enroll in a branch of a large university, then you can try to apply for admission to the correspondence department. There, the passing scores are significantly lower than in the full-time department. Because this is a very good option. In addition, it will be possible to combine study and work, which is not bad at all.

4. Admission to the department. You can read more about this phenomenon at the link given in the proposition. But in short, just like in the correspondence department, the passing score is lower than for full-time education. And it is also possible to combine study with work, although it is more difficult than when studying at the correspondence department.

This is where I end the article, I hope that I helped those who were unlucky at the Unified State Examination and now you know what to do with small scores. See you on the blog pages site

It is quite simple to select Moscow universities for the Unified State Examination on the budget on the Internet. Our site provides a popular and high-quality ranking of universities from which you can choose. You can build a rating that will offer the best educational institutions. You can choose according to the location of the university, areas of study and other factors. It is quite difficult to enter the budget, usually you need to have about eighty points in the Unified State Examination on average for this. But there are a number of highly specialized universities that are not popular due to the low popularity of their professions. You can enter such universities with mediocre results and learn an interesting and rare profession. At the end of such a university, you won’t be able to brag about a diploma from a prestigious university and a popular profession, but you can have a good job, with a decent salary and interesting responsibilities. Generally. You should not chase popular solutions if you want to select Moscow universities for the Unified State Examination upon admission to the budget.

Where is it easy to enter the budget with low USE scores?

There are a number of areas where you can enter with low scores. Of course, they do not include economics, law and management. - these are one of the most promising areas for study, if you do not have high scores. In recent years, agriculture has been actively developing, and people will never stop eating, so the relevance of these professions will not be lost over the years. It is quite easy to enroll in ecology, although the profession is experiencing a peak in popularity, you can even enroll in fairly prestigious universities as an ecologist. Another direction for admission is metrology. In general, quite a lot of professions are connected with measurement. And if metrology itself is not a very relevant area, then cadastres are quite a promising direction.

There are many other specialties and professions that you can enter with low budget scores. At first glance, it seems that there are practically no vacancies in these specialties, but it is worth considering that only one or two universities graduate specialists of this profile, and not hundreds, as in the case of economics and jurisprudence.

The 2018 university admissions campaign has ended. Here is a summary of the passing scores in the most popular Moscow universities in the areas (faculties)

Passing scores 2018

In 2018, applicants could apply to five universities for three directions in each.

There were no additional exams in universities, with the exception of Moscow State University, MGIMO, as well as in the creative areas of some universities. Universities enrolled the winners and prize-winners of Olympiads out of competition or automatically gave them 100 points in a specialized subject.

Features of enrollment in budget places:

In all universities, 10 percent of budget places are given to beneficiaries - the disabled and orphans.

Target admission - for them, the real competition of certificates (passing score) is much lower (what is target admission, and about the paradoxes of the admission campaign for targeted admission)

In order to take advantage of the benefit, Olympians must score at least 75 points in the profile USE. The All-Russian Olympiad is taken into account by absolutely all universities, but there are no Olympiads from the list approved by the ministry.

The largest number of free places on the budget this year were received by:

Least of all budget places this year are allocated to the following specialties:

  • "Weapons and weapon systems",
  • "Art History", "Theology",
  • "The Stage Arts and Literary Creativity".

According to the official results of certificate competitions and on the basis of the protocols on enrollment of applicants, a list of Moscow universities with passing scores was compiled.

In Russia, the USE 2018 campaign is coming to an end, and even the second wave of exams is coming to an end. However, checking exams takes time, and at the moment, graduates are waiting for the latest USE results of the first wave. Someone already now understands that they scored not enough points - much less than the student expected before passing the exams. Someone did not wait for all the results and is worried about what to do if there are not enough points. What if I didn’t get the required scores in the Unified State Examination, is it possible to enter the institute, what other options remain for the applicant in 2018.

What do you mean you didn't get the required points?

First of all, it is worth, of course, to figure out what “few points for the exam” are. Some of the graduates studied perfectly all their lives and hoped for at least 80-90 points for each exam, scored an average of 77 and believes that life is over. And someone generally failed the Russian language or mathematics and runs the risk of being left without a certificate of education as such, whether to go to college at all.

Two situations can be spoken of as a small catastrophe:

  • the student could not pass one of the mandatory exams (Russian language or mathematics) and runs the risk of being left without a document on education,
  • the student did not score the minimum scores for the USE, which were established by Rosobrnadzor (the table of minimum scores for each USE was on our website earlier).

The way out of the first situation is a retake. At the moment, those students who were unable to pass the mandatory USE in 2018 in the first wave know about it and even managed to retake the exams for the additional stage of the USE. The results of these exams will come on July 10-11.

If, based on the results of retaking the mandatory USE, the graduate gains enough points, and he has complete order with the USE results of his choice, you can try to enter a university in the same year. If the exams are failed again, retake is possible only in September. Of course, you can forget about the institute, at least in 2018.

If a graduate has successfully completed the mandatory USE, but one of the elective exams failed, and the number of points scored is below the minimum, you will not be able to enter the institute. Universities simply do not have the right to accept applicants if they provide USE results below the minimum threshold from Rosobrnadzor. Even for paid education.

The first way out is to enter in a year

There is nothing wrong with this option. Retreating from the first small difficulty, forgoing higher education because of a minor setback, is not the best start to adulthood. Even if the student is used to the fact that everything goes to him easily and simply, it's time to learn to get what he wants.

A graduate needs to understand that a missed year is not scary at all. It is better to get a higher education diploma a year later than not to have it at all. Unless, of course, it's really that important.

What to do during this year - you decide according to the situation. Most likely, young people risk the army, and it will be a little easier for girls.

But the main thing to do this year, if you are not in the army, is to diligently prepare for the exam retake. The results of those exams that suit you will be valid for four years, so you can focus on a problematic subject, in which the USE was passed with too low scores.

Remember that graduates of previous years take the exam before the main wave - in the spring. So you will have less than one year to prepare.

The second way out is to enter the institute for a paid department

This is a way out for those who scored few points in the Unified State Examination, but still more than the minimum that closes the way to universities.

If all options with admission to the budget are impossible or uninteresting, enter the paid department. Of course, there must be financial opportunities for this. You may have to study and work at the same time.

The third way out is to get a secondary specialized education

This output is suitable for everyone. Even if you failed both mandatory exams and retake is impossible (and if you don’t pass two mandatory exams at once, the situation is just that), you can always use a certificate for the ninth grade.

With this certificate, you can enter a college, technical school or other secondary educational institution. We advise you to pay attention to colleges at universities. Quite often, these institute or university-affiliated colleges are the providers of applicants for them.

Whether the college or technical school works at the university or on its own, in any case, the road to the university after its completion is not closed to you.

Whatever situation you find yourself in and no matter how hopeless it may seem to you, in fact, if you set yourself the goal of getting a higher education, you will get it. And it is still unknown which university graduate will achieve greater success - an excellent student who is used to getting everything easy or one who has already learned to overcome life's difficulties by the time he receives his diploma.
