After checking the examination papers, the primary scores are converted into grades and the official results become known to the graduates. If you have not overcome the minimum threshold for one of the exams, do not despair. There is a re-examination for you in reserve terms.

If the minimum threshold is not exceeded in two subjects or you have not passed the same subject twice, then retake is possible only after September 1 of the current year. Don't let that scare you. Within two business days (Saturday also counts), you must come to your school and file an appeal to disagree with the scores. How to prepare for an appeal?

Who can take the OGE

The general education curriculum provides for 34 weeks of instruction per year and 27 to 38 hours of instruction weekly. Primary secondary or lower secondary education, the stage (grades 5-9) of the educational cycle is offered to most students in nine-year schools or comprehensive schools offering a complete 11-year primary and secondary education. Pupils who have completed the lower cycle pass the final examinations (state final attestation), the successful completion of which leads to the award of a certificate of Basic Education (certificate of incomplete secondary education). The certificate makes it possible to study at school for another two years in order to obtain a certificate of complete secondary education or enter a technical school, college.

The minimum state requirements for the basic curriculum of general education include the following areas of study: the humanities, in which special attention is paid to the Russian language and literature, as well as foreign languages; social sciences, including Russian and world history, economic and social geography; natural sciences with a priority of mathematics, as well as biology, physics, astronomy, chemistry and ecology; technology, including computer studies, practical skills classes for professional development, and basic general use skills such as home economics, sewing, cooking, metalworking, and carpentry; art and physical education.

Rules for the OGE

To receive a certificate after the end of the 9th grade, participants take mandatory exams. Compulsory OGE exams: Russian language, mathematics and 2 exams of the student's choice.

To pass the OGE, you can choose the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, literature, geography, history, social studies, foreign languages ​​​​(English, French, German and Spanish), computer science and information and communication technologies (ICT).

For those who have studied their native language and literature in the language of the peoples of the Russian Federation, there is an opportunity to take an exam in their native language and / or native literature.

For students with disabilities, disabled and disabled children, the number of exams can be reduced to two: Russian language and mathematics.

Who is allowed to pass the OGE

Students who are eligible to take this type of test are:

• do not have annual grades below "3" in all disciplines of the general education program;
• having an annual grade of "2", if in this discipline they will take an exam during the OGE;
• citizens of other states or students who do not have official citizenship, migrants or refugees from disadvantaged areas where hostilities are taking place or natural disasters have occurred;

Features of the OGE in 2020

Since last year, 9th grade graduates have been taking the compulsory oral part of the Russian language exam. The oral exam will be the first test for schoolchildren and at the same time a kind of admission to the rest of the exams. They plan to take speaking in February (before the start of the preliminary and main campaign).

In 2020, the following innovations of 2017 and 2020 will definitely remain:

Passing the oral exam is an important step for every graduate. Although the speaking tasks are quite simple, and the final interview is assessed according to the “pass” / “fail” principle, for many ninth graders this is an exciting event, because the most difficult period of the year begins with it, the main dates of which are collected in the OGE 2020 schedule.

By analogy with the Unified State Examination, the Compulsory State Exam, which ninth graders have to take, is divided into three sessions:

• preliminary (April 21 - May 16);

Passing the OGE in 2020 before the main stream will be available to graduates of 2019 who showed unsatisfactory results in one or more subjects and wish to retake the exam, as well as graduates of the 2019-2020 academic year who cannot, for good reason, come to the OGE on a tribute, which establishes official schedule of the main session.

In all schools in Russia, exams for the 2019-2020 academic year will be held from 02/25/20 to 07/03/20.

Unlike the pre-period, most items will receive their individual day. If it turns out that the student chooses to pass subjects that appear on the same day in the OGE calendar for 2020, then any of the disciplines can be taken on the reserve day officially established by the FIPI calendar.

Please note that for most graduates, exams will end before June 10th. But, in case of an unsatisfactory result, ninth graders will get 3 more attempts:

1. on the reserve day of the main session;
2. on the main day of the autumn retake;
3. on the reserve day of September.

September session

The autumn session of the OGE 2020 is the last chance to get a certificate. Students are allowed to retake. Those who received unsatisfactory grades in one or 2 subjects (all subjects are taken into account). Unlike the GIA-11, the OGE (GIA-9) provides an opportunity to correct the situation in any discipline, and this reflects the schedule of autumn retakes compiled by FIPI for 2020.

In the event of at least one unsatisfactory result, already following the results of the last retake, the ninth grader will be able to try again to overcome the subject at the preliminary session of the OGE of the 2021 academic year.
