Logically, the longer the cycle or the rarer the astro-event occurs, the more significant processes it describes (important, deep, long). It is strange to expect a serious impact from the usual opposition of Mars and the Sun. It happens too often to be crowned special. Two years is not a long time for history! Let me remind you that we are not talking about their long-term consequences, but about the immediate ones.

So, Great oppositions of Mars can cause big wars and lead to a state of great world conflicts, in which many countries and territories are involved (in the year of the opposition itself). But VPs are not a necessary and sufficient condition for starting big wars. That is, they can, but they don't have to. They don't always call.

Weather anomalies and volcanic activity
Weather archives show that the EP years did not differ from the climatic norm. And, conversely, the years of abnormally hot or cold did not fall into the years of opposition. Pandemics and epidemics
Let me remind you that we are talking about outbreaks of epidemics that happen simultaneously with the EaP, close in time. Two cholera epidemics exactly coincided with the years of the Great Controversy (1830 and 1892). No patterns were found with other viruses. In particular, the well-known "Spanish flu" (flu pandemic) and the plague in 14th century Europe do not seem to have a strong connection with the Great Controversies.
