Maya Pildes: School is not a place for losers, it is a place for happy people. Under the control of love Pildes Maya Borisovna family

Maya Pildes resigned from the post of director of the 56th gymnasium. The creator of the most elite St. Petersburg school, a leader with 28 years of experience, in a conversation with Fontanka, said that no one offended her.

“This is solely my decision,” Maya Pildes, ex-principal of school No. 56, told Fontanka. In almost 30 years, she managed to turn an ordinary eight-year-old school into a school where the golden youth of St. Petersburg aspires, in which relatives of the governor Georgy Poltavchenko, the speaker of the Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Makarov, the children of Gazprom managers, Zenit football players, former Minister of Defense Serdyukov study.

For graduations, limousines drive up to the 56th gymnasium, the most expensive restaurants and clubs are rented. At parent forums, you can often find disputes about what outweighs the scales - "show-offs" and permissiveness, an almost legal smoking room or brilliant studies, creativity and gold medals of graduates.

Gymnasium 56 did not immediately receive its status. In 1990, Maya Pildes, at that time the head teacher of school No. 87, which had previously worked in the House of Pioneers, was offered to lead an eight-year school on Pudozhskaya Street. “In six months, we became a high school. And in 1991 they were already winners of the competition of Russian schools. This is all thanks to a wonderful team,” says the ex-director.

The next stage, after which the school began to be treated with aspiration, came in 1996. “We were given a building on Chkalovsky, 35, it needed to be repaired, and the year was a crisis. In 1996, Naina Yeltsina came, helped, but not with money, supported by Sobchak, Yakovlev. I told them that back in 1996 the governor had nowhere to come on September 1st, and in 1997 such a school appeared. Everyone supported us - both the late Anton Gubankov and Kirill Nabutov. Can you imagine, there are factories in the country, and a school is being built and opened,” says Maya Pildes.

Since then, the school has expanded, received a kindergarten with a swimming pool, a concert hall, a winter garden, a building on Krestovsky, on Kamennoostrovsky. She received the status of an author's school and gymnasium, and also twice became the winner of all-Russian competitions. In total, almost 2.5 thousand people study at the school in 97 classes, 600 teachers work. Every year, 9 first classes are recruited in the 56th.

“Parents come every year and say: “Maybe you can somehow take us out of the queue?”. Every time I shrug my shoulders: we have everything according to the law. It is really difficult to get to us, but we never take money from our parents for this. They help us a lot later, but not at all because we took their children. It is thanks to dads and moms that we arrange holidays at Oktyabrsky, a Christmas tree at Sibur Arena, and arrange trips.

Parents of students come even after their children finish school. “They call, consult, visit, and graduates come, even stellar ones, for example, Zara and Stas Piekha drop in on teachers,” says Pildes.

On August 14, Pildes wrote a letter of resignation from the post of director. And her place was taken by the deputy Sergey Danilov, with whom they worked together when they were a pioneer organization.

“I did it because the school needs to develop, and I'm not so young anymore. It is necessary that no cataclysms and storms spoil the work of the team. And Sergei Danilov will continue my work, but I won’t go far and will remain in charge of methodological work and public projects,” Pildes adds. - School is my main asset and brainchild, for it you have to work 12 hours a day, but for me it is already difficult. I made this decision myself, and most importantly, write that no one offended me, otherwise they are already asking the education committee.

As Maya Pildes says, a school is not only beautiful walls (although they are really beautiful at the 56th), the school is people. “Our graduates come to work with us. Do you know why? Because they see that their teachers are happy people.”

If Maya Pildes refused to lead the school, then she intends to remain in the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg, in the collegium of the Education Committee, and on the jury of the “Teacher of the Year” competition. Probably, next year she may be offered another honorary position. In 2012, the director of the 56th gymnasium was part of the campaign headquarters of Vladimir Putin, Fontanka's interlocutors do not exclude that this time she will be invited to support the main candidate.

Recently, gymnasium N 56 of the Petrogradsky district was recognized as the "Best School in Russia" for the second time in a row. The main prize - a silver bell - was given to director Maya Pildes by the Minister of Education on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace.

The 56th is a kind of state: more than two thousand students study here (85 classes!), Over 340 teachers work. It combines five buildings (from a kindergarten to a gymnasium) and several centers (from a media library to a recreation center). And everywhere life is in full swing, which is confirmed by dozens of certificates, diplomas signed by the most prominent people of the state, sports trophies and awards of the all-Russian level.

Smells delicious like pie

You go to school - everything glitters and smells delicious of pies. The toilets have good plumbing, hot water and deodorants. Classes - like a needle. Do teachers know the magic word to keep kids from drawing on their desks?

Certainly! After all, clean desks are one of the serious indicators of the work of the school, - Maya Borisovna is convinced. Ours have been like new for years. Why? This means that the children are busy at the lesson: they complete tasks in a notebook, on a computer, in a language laboratory. Why pick and spoil something if the lesson is intense, interesting and everyone is absorbed in business? Call - and immediately joined in the work. And we have created all the possibilities to make the classes as useful and exciting as possible.

Classes are equipped with multimedia complexes, plasma panels, interactive whiteboards. Physics and chemistry classrooms are real laboratories. There are even feedback settings, similar to the magic remote control on the popular game "How to become a millionaire?". You press a button and you choose an answer. For blitz surveys, an indispensable thing: the perception of the material immediately improves.

- But even "smart" electronics means little without a good teacher.

Our teachers are special. My deputies sing, write poetry, music. And everyone else suits them. Despite the fact that everyone is a professional, "subject specialist". Do you know how many people applaud in our school? We try to celebrate every success. Moreover, there are no special financial incentives. The salary of a teacher with experience and titles, at best, reaches 17-19 thousand. But they are all bright personalities. What attracts me to the national project "Education"? No, not a million, although this is a lot of money for a school. But more importantly, at the government level, leaders are actively supported. After all, we don’t like successful people very much. And in the project, on the contrary, they call for bright, active work.

- It's good to be the best when the children of almost all city chiefs study at school.

I am glad that famous people choose our gymnasium. However, the doors are open to everyone. We have about 400 children from low-income families. Enrollment will begin shortly. No contests, night vigils, bonfires! Come, sign up, learn. This spring we are recruiting 6 or 7 first classes. So it's not about the elite. Relationships with parents are important! We spend all our main holidays only together with dads and moms. To do this, we rent the largest concert halls, stadiums. The atmosphere at these meetings is amazing. Five thousand people feel like one. By the way, the parents were also part of the team that represented the gymnasium in the competition of the best schools in the country. It was to them that the jury turned out to have the most questions.

A knapsack is heavier than a briefcase

- Do you want to convince that there are no paid services at the school?

The situation when the class collects 500 rubles each for the repair of the roof, floor, replacement of lamps is excluded for our gymnasium. Another thing is when we ask parents to help - no one refuses. Everyone does what is in his power. Some wash windows, others give lectures, and someone can help in acquiring a relaxation room. They recently opened a wonderful gym, helped by the father of an eleventh grader.

We need to have an honest conversation. We all want schools to be comfortable, comfortable and equipped. So that the children get the best. But by what means to purchase it, under what article - it is not said. The budget does not include the cost of beautiful dishes. There is only one way out: all possible help from parents. We even have a boxing day. We try to cultivate a culture of relationships, teach children to be attentive and responsive - to the environment, elders, school. We were the first in the city to publish an open report on the work of the gymnasium on the Internet (the report for the current year will appear in early February). Publicly, throughout the country, they reported on the funds received for the championship in the national project. And when everything is clear and understandable, there are fewer rumors at once.

- You once said that a first grader's satchel is heavier than a ministerial briefcase...

And I am still sure: sometimes studying at school is more difficult than working. Try to experiment. Come to 9.00 and together with the ninth graders, for example, unlearn all seven lessons. Answer in chemistry, algebra and biology, write a test in physics and an essay in literature, do not forget English, German and drafting. It is impossible to remember all this. Therefore, we must teach the child to learn. Solve small, but research problems. Quickly extract the necessary information from a mountain of reference books, encyclopedias and a computer. These skills are indispensable in today's world.

At the same time, our graduate should be able to write an essay, a business letter, know poetry by heart, understand geography, etc. And most importantly, think and reflect. Now the television will finish showing the new version of "Crime and Punishment", we will gather with the senior students in the assembly hall and watch the old film. Let them draw conclusions.

Caretaker or mentor?

How do you feel about the fact that in many families children are encouraged with money? Got a five - take fifty rubles. Two - minus twenty from the account.

If parents in this way develop entrepreneurial spirit in a small person, teach them how to handle money, this is not bad. After all, buns don't grow on trees. If a child wants to study well, why not support him? Not necessarily money. It's all about family relationships. I know one thing: everything must be done so that the child does not lie. And in terms of money, too.

You have been the head of the gymnasium for 18 years. From the ordinary, they managed to make their school the best in Russia. But the director in domestic education is a special figure. Something between a supply manager and a teacher with a capital letter...

I hold on tight to one metaphor. When Captain Gray found out about Assol's dream, he went to the shop, bought silk, brought it to the ship and, together with the crew, began to pull the scarlet sails. So the beautiful girl found happiness. I consider myself one of the people who, figuratively speaking, have to go to a shop, buy fabric... So that a scarlet sail shines on the life horizon of every person who works next to me. After all, a good school, however, like a bad one, is not a number. She has a surname, name and patronymic. Directors.

Under the pretext of withdrawing the wounded, do not upset the ranks! Let everyone be fully imbued with the idea that it is necessary to defeat these mercenaries of England, inspired by such hatred against our nation. This victory will end our march, and we may return to our winter quarters, where we shall be found by the new French troops which are being formed in France; and then the peace I will make will be worthy of my people, you and me.
Napoleon."

At 5 o'clock in the morning it was still quite dark. The troops of the center, reserves and the right flank of Bagration were still standing motionless; but on the left flank, the columns of infantry, cavalry and artillery, which were to be the first to descend from the heights in order to attack the French right flank and push it, according to the disposition, into the Bohemian mountains, were already stirring and began to rise from their lodgings. The smoke from the fires, into which they threw everything superfluous, ate the eyes. It was cold and dark. The officers hurriedly drank tea and had breakfast, the soldiers chewed crackers, beat shots with their feet, warming themselves, and flocked against the fires, throwing the remains of booths, chairs, tables, wheels, tubs, everything superfluous that could not be taken away with them into the firewood. Austrian columnists scurried between the Russian troops and served as harbingers of the performance. As soon as an Austrian officer showed up near the regimental commander's camp, the regiment began to move: the soldiers ran away from the fires, hid their tubes in the tops, bags in the wagons, disassembled their guns and lined up. The officers buttoned up, put on their swords and knapsacks, and, shouting, went around the ranks; convoys and batmen harnessed, stacked and tied the wagons. Adjutants, battalion and regimental commanders mounted, crossed themselves, gave their last orders, instructions and assignments to the remaining convoys, and the monotonous tramp of a thousand feet sounded. The columns moved, not knowing where and not seeing from the surrounding people, from the smoke and from the growing fog, neither the area from which they left, nor the one into which they entered.
A soldier on the move is just as encircled, constrained, and drawn by his regiment, as a sailor is by the ship on which he is. No matter how far he goes, no matter how strange, unknown and dangerous latitudes he enters, around him - as for a sailor, always and everywhere the same decks, masts, ropes of his ship - always and everywhere the same comrades, the same rows, the same sergeant major Ivan Mitrich, the same company dog Zhuchka, the same bosses. A soldier rarely wants to know the latitudes in which his whole ship is located; but on the day of the battle, God knows how and from where, in the moral world of the troops one stern note is heard for all, which sounds like the approach of something decisive and solemn and arouses them to an unusual curiosity. Soldiers in the days of battles excitedly try to get out of the interests of their regiment, listen, look closely and eagerly ask about what is happening around them.
The fog became so strong that, despite the fact that it was dawning, it was not visible ten paces ahead. The bushes looked like huge trees, the flat places looked like precipices and slopes. Everywhere, from all sides, one could encounter an enemy invisible ten paces away. But for a long time the columns walked in the same fog, descending and ascending the mountains, bypassing gardens and fences, across new, incomprehensible terrain, nowhere colliding with the enemy. On the contrary, now in front, now behind, from all sides, the soldiers learned that our Russian columns were moving in the same direction. Each soldier felt good at heart because he knew that where he was going, that is, no one knew where, there were still many, many of ours.

Oh, I'll definitely show you! This is the lower "floor" and there is SUCH!!!... - Stella twitched her shoulders, apparently remembering something not very pleasant.
We were still moving on, and then I noticed that the surroundings began to change little by little. Transparency began to disappear somewhere, giving way to a much more “dense”, earth-like landscape.
What's going on, where are we? I got worried.
- It's all right there. The little girl answered calmly. – Only now we are already in the part that is simpler. Remember we just talked about this? Here, for the most part, those who have just arrived. When they see such a landscape similar to their usual one, it is easier for them to perceive their “transition” to this new world for them... And yet, those who do not want to be better than they are live here, and do not willing to make the slightest effort to achieve something higher.
– So, this “floor” consists of two parts, as it were? – I specified.
- You can say that. - The girl answered thoughtfully, and suddenly moved on to another topic - Something no one here pays any attention to us. Do you think they're not here?
After looking around, we stopped, not having the slightest idea what to do next.
– Shall we risk “lower”? Stella asked.
I felt that the baby was tired. Yes, and I was also very far from my best form. But I was almost sure that she was not going to give up, so I nodded in response.
- Well, then we need to prepare a little ... - biting her lip and seriously concentrating, the warlike Stella said. – Do you know how to put yourself a strong defense?
- Seems Yes. But I don't know how strong it will be. - I answered shyly. I really didn't want to let her down right now.
“Show me,” the girl asked.
I realized that this was not a whim, and that she was just trying to help me. Then I tried to concentrate and made my green “cocoon”, which I always made for myself when I needed serious protection.
- Wow! .. - Stella opened her eyes in surprise. - Well, let's go then.
This time our flight down was far from being as pleasant as the previous one... For some reason, my chest was very squeezed and it was hard to breathe. But little by little it all seemed to level out, and I stared in surprise at the eerie landscape that opened up to us ...
The heavy, blood-red sun sparingly illuminated the dim, purple-brown silhouettes of the distant mountains ... Deep cracks crawled along the ground like giant snakes, from which a dense, dark orange fog escaped and, merging with the surface, became like a bloody shroud . Everywhere wandered strange, as if restless, essences of people who looked very dense, almost physical ... They either appeared or disappeared, not paying any attention to each other, as if they did not see anyone but themselves and lived only in their the rest, the world. In the distance, not yet approaching, dark figures of some monstrous beasts sometimes appeared. There was a sense of danger, it smelled of horror, I wanted to run away from here headlong, without turning back ...
