Start the new year with a clean slate. How to start the new year with a clean slate

Every year, on December 31… We promise ourselves to start a new life from tomorrow. From January 1, that is. New Year new life. It would be interesting to see at least one person who did it!

Text: Lyubov Astafieva

What we don’t promise ourselves: go to the gym, run in the morning, not eat after six, fix your teeth, find a new job, communicate with your parents more often, finally get to know a normal man… Some even buy a beautiful new book to write down their new plans. But January 1 comes, and... nothing changes! First, the holidays, and we think: “When the holidays are over, then I’ll definitely start!”, And then, after the holidays, so much work piles up that there’s no time to start a new life. So the new life turns back into the old. Until next December 31st.

How to change this script? And is it possible to start a new life on January 1st? Our psychologists give you some advice.

1. Analyze errors

Before planning, do an analysis: what did not suit you in your life in the past year? What is the reason for these failures? What would you like to achieve? And what resources are needed for this? Do not be afraid to be as honest as possible - except for you, no one will see these "analytical notes", but this will return you from the world of illusions to the real world.

2. Set realistic goals

The main secret of success is not to plan what you don’t want to do, not to conceive the impossible. If you don't like running in the morning, if you're cold even in your bed, then you'll never start running outside in winter. If you are a night owl, don't plan to get up at 7 o'clock every morning. If subconsciously you are quite satisfied with your weight - do not expect to endure a strict diet. In short, set achievable goals that you are sure you will complete. Do you want to play sports? Ask yourself - which of its types will not be a burden to you, what will you do with pleasure? You should not follow the fashion for running or swimming, if your soul does not lie with them, maybe you like dancing more - then go and dance! Do you want to switch to a healthy diet? Choose the products that you like, find a compromise between tasty and healthy. Because if you can't stand oatmeal, you still won't be able to eat it, no matter how strong your will is. Do you want to learn how to get up earlier? Start doing this gradually, an hour a week. Force yourself to go to bed earlier! By the way, there is one simple recipe: you need to get up once at five in the morning (even if you don’t need to go anywhere), you will really want to sleep, but be patient, but at 10 pm you will fall asleep with a baby’s sleep, and the next morning you will get up much earlier.

3. Program yourself for good luck

If your outgoing year was unsuccessful, and you are afraid of a repetition of troubles, that the new year will be even worse ... Drive these thoughts away from yourself! The more you think about it, the more you program yourself for failure. You should also not make excessive demands on yourself: “I let myself down this year, but in the future, I will show everyone what I am capable of!” If there is no way to rush off sharply, you should not hope for it: it is better to move towards the goal slowly but surely. And constantly tell yourself: the coming year will be very successful for me, I will succeed, I will be able to fulfill my plan. If you lack confidence and knowledge, try attending one of the master classes that will teach you how to program your future correctly.

4. Start small

Start changing your familiar world around you. Have you always had a mess in the workplace? Clear the rubble. Do the same with your wardrobe and your kitchen. Do you always lose your keys and other little things? Buy beautiful wall hooks and train yourself to hang your keys on them. Come up with new pleasant and useful rituals for yourself. For example, turn on your favorite music in the morning and dance in front of the mirror while coffee is being brewed. If you plan to start playing sports, buy a nice uniform and sneakers so that you want to wear them as soon as possible. From such trifles, like a mosaic, it will take shape

New Years is soon! It's time to get rid of the bad

It's time to get rid of unnecessary and oppressive thoughts. So what is it time to forget:

Do you want to start the new year with a clean slate?

Here are some tips to keep yourself motivated and reach all your new goals.

We start a new life with a clean slate, from Monday.

After all, it is 2018 that starts on Monday (when we wake up), why not bring something new into life?

Forget all the bad things and leave it in the past. Now there are only new goals and a new life ahead!

  1. First you need to come up with at least five good decisions for the New Year that can fully fit into your lifestyle (maybe also a new one). All these decisions should be purely personal and help to become better both physically and mentally. Make sure you think clearly and carefully decide to make your new dream come true. Be sure to ask yourself, can this help me? Can it help my environment (family, friends, relatives, work colleagues, etc.)? How will this help me? Will I be able to stick with this for a year? Will I have time to work in this direction? Answer all of these questions in the affirmative and confidently before you begin!
  2. If your goal is to improve yourself daily. If you want to go to college again and get a master's degree, go ahead, but make sure you have enough interest. Maybe it's better to go to university? Maybe you just want to improve your relationships with people, be more optimistic, carefree, friendly, etc. For example, you really want to say hello to your work colleague for the whole room, but you have never done this until now because of your shyness. Know how to put a shoulder to your girlfriend or boyfriend who, for example, just broke up with her boyfriend or girlfriend and is crying. Clean up your house for your parents or neighbors so they don't have to worry. Clean up daily. These are just examples of some good personality traits. In fact, there are many more of them, and they are present in all spheres of life.
  3. If your goal is to improve yourself daily or whenever you have free time. If you want to lose 10 kilos, or maybe get rid of a big belly, you can go to the local gym or work from home several times a day, or daily if you have time. Be consistent and stick to your exercise schedule, which needs to be set up in advance. Get a personal trainer if you need a little push and some new techniques. Eat a healthy diet: For example, instead of stopping at McDonald's for a fast food lunch and sweet cream buns before bed, go to the store and grab fruit and meat. Drink only juices and milk, etc. Eat right and stay on schedule.
  1. If your goal includes profit, make sure you have enough money in the bank to pay your bills and eat for a whole month or more, otherwise your debt could come along and bite you really hard. Spend money only wisely and with confidence.
  2. Be consistent. A day without striving for your goal is another day wasted.
  3. Imagine that your goals are a law that must be observed without fail. Also imagine that someone is constantly watching your implementation of plans. Or let it be real. Ask parents, spouse, children of roommates, etc. follow you and your plans.
  4. Make your procedures interesting. This will help you strive for self-improvement for the benefit of others around you and yourself.

As children, we waited for Santa Claus and hoped to find a cherished gift under the tree. Even now, the garlands on the streets and the aroma of tangerines, the smell of the Christmas tree and the purchase of gifts immerse us in anticipation of magic. Indeed, there is something ritual in this holiday: as if our past “I” leaves with the old year and a new one is born, with a new way of life, tasks and goals. We hope that worries and problems will remain in the outgoing year, and from January 1, our life begins from scratch, and this “New Year's” life, of course, will become better and happier. Let's see what we can do to meet at least part of our expectations:

1. Get rid of old things. In many countries, there is a custom to get rid of unnecessary things on the eve of the new year. Take a closer look at how many things have accumulated over the year: magazines, souvenirs, clothes that no one wears anymore ... Cleaning may take a long time, but you will happily feel how fresh energy fills your living space.

2. Change image. Not necessarily radical. A new haircut or a different hair color, a cosmetic procedure that you have not decided on before, a change of wardrobe, especially if you have already given away old things. Think about what new image you want to enter the new year. Even if you are not ready to spend a lot of money on stylists and transform at home, your mood will noticeably improve.

3. Update relationship. The pace of modern life is great, and close communication even with relatives and friends is gradually becoming a luxury. The New Year is a good occasion to renew old connections and improve relationships with others. Write congratulations, preferably sincere! After all, New Year's greetings are not just politeness, but also programming people for a good attitude towards you. If you are in a relationship that is burdensome and only spoils your mood, complete it - make room for the person with whom you will be happy.

4. Wrap up the past year. Please be honest and specific. Make a table where you will enter your “positive” and “negative” achievements for the year (for example: quit smoking “+”, gained weight “-”). The main goal is to draw conclusions: what worked, what didn’t and why. Praise yourself for your achievements and let go of all the troubles of the past year. Even if you have not done anything outstanding, but you are alive and well and nothing irreparable has happened either - this is already a reason for joy.

5. Make new plans and start implementing them. Usually the morning of January 1 is not conducive to the beginning of a new life. The feeling of a miracle dissolves, and life returns to its usual track. So that plans do not remain plans again, start implementing them from the end of December: if you plan to go in for sports - buy a subscription, if you decide to change jobs - update your resume. It is advisable to schedule the implementation of plans by months: it is easier to control what has been done and make current adjustments.

Happy New Year!

How to start the new year with a clean slate and make all your wishes come true

New Year is a favorite holiday for children and adults. Under the chiming clock, we close our eyes and with languishing hope for future happiness, make a wish. After all, the new year is a chance to start life from scratch, improve its quality, change something. We all want positive changes with the advent of this bright holiday in our home. But how often desires diverge from reality. A series of holidays with traditional salads, films, champagne leaves tiredness in the soul.

From childhood we are taught to believe in miracles, but they completely forget to tell us that it is necessary to work on all miracles. It is impossible to find love if you avoid communication with the opposite sex. You can’t lose weight if you eat rolls with sweet tea after midnight. You can’t move up the career ladder if you don’t become an enterprising worker. If you have made a decision to change something in your life, then the New Year is an excellent occasion for radical changes.

When and how to start?

A few days before the New Year, take a couple of hours of time to think about what you want to change in your life, analyze your life. It is necessary to make a list of desires, and in parallel write a rough plan of action for implementation. Psychologists recommend writing down your goals and plans in a notebook. Because the desire written on the sheet leads to greater responsibility than the “action plan” drawn up in the head. Write everything, even the most daring desires.

And you need to start, the sooner the better. If you decide to give up alcohol or cigarettes, then do it on New Year's Eve. Morning hangover after New Year's Eve leads to internal devastation, all the enthusiasm to change something will disappear as soon as January 1 comes. If you have already decided on something, do not delay the changes, start them already on New Year's Eve.

First 100 days

Any business requires that we get used to it. If from the new year you decide to go in for sports, then you should be prepared that within 100 days (psychologists give such a limit to fight old habits and introduce new ones into life) it will be hard for you. Laziness, developed over the years, will try to seize power. Hope for the best, but remember that the fight can be fierce. If you are ready for the first hundred days of a new life to fail, to spend time fighting old passions, then you will succeed.

An objective assessment of what is happening

Assess objectively your desires and your possibilities. Cut off unnecessary "tails" and leave only positive moments from a past life. Do not think about what happened bad in the outgoing year, it is better to concentrate on the coming positive. To start life from scratch, you need to be able to boldly look into the future. Don't be afraid to do things you haven't done before.

From simple to complex

You need to start small. For example, get rid of old things that you will never wear again, rearrange your house, throw away unnecessary items, boxes and everything that clutters up your apartment and thoughts.

Change your wardrobe if the old one makes you unhappy. By the way, to look stylish, it is not necessary to wear expensive things, just dress with taste and choose the right accessories.

Approaching the complex, it is impossible not to identify one more main detail of our life. Often women live with men because of the fear of loneliness, but they do not feel happy with them, and they do not have the courage to break off relations. Such relationships look like a suitcase without a handle - it's a pity to throw it away, it's hard to carry. So, the New Year is just the case when you need to be able to throw out an unnecessary suitcase. A person comes into this life only once and he should be as happy as possible, as far as circumstances, place of residence, health allow him. And love is the most important component of our life and spending time on a person who does not appreciate you is stupid. Don't be afraid to break off relationships that lead to the bottom. By giving up one, the universe will certainly provide you with what you need. This can be attributed to girlfriends who only envy, fill your life with negativity. Where to look for new acquaintances? Theatres, cinema, exhibitions, cultural events, gym. So you diversify your life, meet new people.

Fixation

Write lists not only of desires, but also of small victories. Psychologists recommend writing "morning pages" and keeping a diary. This is an extremely useful activity that discipline develops in us, allows us to get to know ourselves better, our secret and explicit desires, habits that were hidden in trifles. Study yourself, love yourself, respect yourself. And then it will be easier for you to do something - learn a new language, enthusiastically do what you love. If a person is the crown of creation, then everything is subject to him, the main thing is desire!

A disease of any degree of complexity basically has not only physiological, but also psychological causes that may not be realized by a person. Even classical medicine has long recognized the psychosomatic nature of diseases such as ulcers, colitis, dermatitis, arthritis, asthma, hypertension, and heart problems. What can we say about tumor diseases or weakened immunity due to nerves?

Illness is a way to reach out to the cockroaches in the head with the help of the body, when the person himself, for some reason, ignores his needs, does not want to hear them. That's when something enters the arena that makes you stop and once again think: am I moving in the right direction?

Why are we sick? Here are 9 reasons that will change the way you look at pain

1. Permit to rest

The modern world imposes a crazy race for survival on a person. Scheduled work, family, self-development, life on the principle of “do more and don’t whine” - all this puts pressure on the body, squeezes strength to the drop. And if a person does not leave time for recovery, for things that bring him pleasure, the body takes care of itself, “at the wrong time” getting sick. This is how the flu or plaster on the leg appears, which forces you to stop and rest.

2. Desire to feel cared for

Being strong and successful is cool, but it’s even nicer to feel loved. If for some reason a person lacks the attention of loved ones, if he does not feel care and tenderness from a partner, the body decides to get its own in any way and gets sick. In the end, it's so nice to be in the role of a child, around whom everyone rushes around with a thermometer, who buys oranges and pats on the head. If the symptoms are ignored, the disease progresses until it gets through to the addressee.

3. Opportunity to postpone important business

Imagine a hypothetical situation: the husband demands a divorce, the familiar world collapses, but then a tumor is found in his wife, then he stays with her. Or another picture - the girl needs to visit her parents, but she doesn’t feel like it, then she successfully catches a cold. What mechanism? Illness serves as an excuse to put off some unpleasant activity or postpone an important decision, and it can also explain any career or love failures.

4. Self-punishment

In this situation, the person himself unconsciously programs the body for illness in order to atone for guilt. For example, a mother beats a child, and then her arm joints are twisted, because she understands that she did wrong and reproaches herself. Another situation - a man cheated on his wife and the pangs of conscience for what he had done poured into his venereal disease. The third is that the daughter blames herself all her life for the death of her mother and thereby brings on exactly the same disease. That is why it is harmful to live with guilt.

5. Thirst for attention

This type of illness often manifests itself in old people who feel unwanted, therefore they try to attract attention by any means. Some kind of chronic rheumatism becomes an excellent reason to terrorize relatives, beg for their sympathy, and also become the topic of the day in the discussions of neighbors. Now the old man is not just anyone, but a hero who has experienced a lot and deserves respect.

6. Hidden fears and resentments

This reason is not new either. The body feels the mood of the owner and reflects his subconscious ideas about life. If a person is afraid of the future - the kidneys suffer, if he takes the words and actions of others to heart - the heart hurts, if he carries an unbearable burden of responsibility and is afraid to ask for help - back problems begin. And the more he is deaf to his problems, the stronger the pain.

7. A lesson in self-love

Expensive massage courses, proper nutrition, an annual examination by a doctor - all this requires time and money, which it is a pity to allocate for one hour. But the body does not forgive neglect, it also wants attention, so the disease can appear as a lesson in love. To what extent can a person appreciate himself? Is he ready to take care of good health, eat healthy food, control sleep patterns? Through illness, the body forces its owner to learn to love itself.

8. Incentive to rethink life

A serious illness forces a person to stop and think: is he moving in the right direction, has he managed to realize all his desires? What was previously ignored now comes to the fore, every breath taken becomes important. A person begins to look for the real self, the moment when everything went wrong. There is a reassessment of life, goals, guidelines and perspectives, attitudes towards many people and things change. The disease, as it were, provokes a general cleaning in the inner world.

9. Realization of the "last" desire

Finally, another common cause of incurable diseases is suppressed needs that a person has not realized. On his deathbed, he realizes that he will die, which means that you can no longer be afraid to lose everything, it's time to realize the dreams that you have been nurturing for a long time. You can quit a job you hate, go on a world tour, and eat your fill of ice cream. And no one will stand in the way with their moralizing. And you can also exploit your loved ones with the “last will”, maybe then the husband will finally make repairs, and the wife will let go to the races?

As you can see, illness is the language of the unconscious, which makes a person listen to repressed needs, come to the desired by a detour. And if so, you can get rid of pain by allowing yourself to satisfy desire openly, without resorting to manipulation through illness. As soon as a person fills the inner void, the outer one will also change, the main thing is to realize for yourself what your illness gives you. The solution will be the key to recovery.
