Today, the medical college is a large multifunctional complex that provides personnel for medical and preventive institutions of the city and region. Over the entire 79-year history of the system of secondary vocational medical education in the Novosibirsk region, more than 52,000 highly qualified specialists have graduated from the unified college.

Novosibirsk Medical College is a multidisciplinary educational, practical and scientific - methodological complex that provides training in six specialties of the basic level - 060101 General Medicine, 060501 Nursing, 060102 Obstetrics, 060604 Laboratory Diagnostics, 060205 Preventive Dentistry, 060203 Orthopedic Dentistry, 060301 Pharmacy, two higher-level specialties Nursing and General Medicine, as well as programs of additional professional education in professional areas, retraining and advanced training of specialists in accordance with the profile of the college. In addition, the college implements a pre-college training program through specialized specialized classes.

The contingent of students at the moment is 1700 people, which testifies not only to the prestige of the profession of an average medical worker, but also to the image of the educational institution in the Novosibirsk region and in the surrounding regions.

The educational process is focused on the fundamentalization and expansion of the educational trajectory, which is ensured by the quality management system for training specialists. In the educational process, the proportion of problem-searching teaching methods with an emphasis on personality-oriented psychology has increased significantly.

In anticipation of the transition to new state educational standards, the teaching staff developed and successfully implemented functional cards of specialists based on an analysis of the needs for skills from the social partners of the college - medical institutions of the city and region. Evidence of this is the results of the final state certification of graduates, the high level of formation of professional and key competencies. The proportion of excellent and good grades according to the results of the State Attestation Commission is 75.3% in 2004, 78% in 2007, 81.7% in 2008, 84% in 2010.

Over the past five years, the release of specialists amounted to more than 2.5 thousand people. Of these, 91% of graduates are employed in their specialty, including more than 60% in the region. Positive feedback from employers on the professional activities of graduates and their competitiveness in the service market testifies to the high quality of training of specialists at the NMK.

The high quality of training of specialists is ensured by a team of professional teachers, which includes 130 teachers. The internship structure is stable - 45% of teachers have been working for more than twenty years. 72% of teachers have the highest qualification category. 14 people have the badge "Excellent Health Care Worker". 16 people were awarded the "Memorial Certificate of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation", the honorary title "Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation" - 1 person, the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation" - 1 person, the honorary title "Honored Coach" - 1 person. The educational institution is a regional methodological base for coordinating work with secondary vocational educational institutions. In the system of innovation activities there is the development and implementation of projects in various areas of the educational and upbringing process. The college has developed and adopted the concept of education, which is based on a personality-oriented model of a specialist. Educational work is focused on the formation of professional qualities of the individual.

The traditions of mercy and charity have been revived. As part of the project activities, social and charitable programs are being implemented, aimed at socially unprotected people who need specialized care. The college is the initiator of the revival of the volunteer movement in the city of Novosibirsk. A system of student self-government has developed, through which students develop leadership qualities, develop an active life position.
