The nose of the steps is the main idea of the story. Children's fairy tales online

A little boy in kindergarten learned to count, children were taught to count to ten. And now Petya, joyful, goes home from the kindergarten, he is overwhelmed with pride that he knows how to count. Approaching the house, he saw that his little sister, Valya, was waiting for him. The boy boasts to Valya about his knowledge, he invites her to listen to how he will now count the steps of the stairs.

Petya and sister begin to climb to their apartment, and the boy counts the steps. Having risen to the fifth step, a hitch occurs in Petya's head, he cannot remember the next figure. Time after time the children descend and rise again, but no success, the number "six" completely flew out of Petya's head. Petya counts to five, and then he stops, and does not want to continue the journey until he remembers the forgotten number. Valya tries to tell him, but she is still small and does not know how to count at all.

Finally, the girl can’t stand it and runs home, she explains to her mother that her brother cannot remember the number following the five, and therefore does not want to go up home until he counts the steps. Mom tells the girl that this is the number "six". The joyful sister again runs to her brother, running up to Petya, she begins to whisper the number he forgot, she is pleased that she can suggest the correct option.

Delighted, Petya continues the count, and they finally reach the goal. It is remarkable that there were only a dozen steps on the stairs, otherwise they would never have reached the house, because Petya had not yet learned to count beyond ten.

Nosov's story "Steps" teaches purposefulness, you always need to achieve your goals, be honest not only to others, but also to yourself. Important features should be kindness and a sense of mutual assistance, the ability to come to the rescue

Nikolai Nosov

steps

One day Petya was returning from kindergarten. That day he learned to count to ten. He reached his house, and his younger sister Valya was already waiting at the gate.

They began to climb the stairs, and Petya loudly counted the steps:

Well, why did you stop? Valya asks.

Well, remember, - says Valya. They stood on the stairs, they stood. Petya says:

No, I can't remember that. Well, let's start over.

They went down the stairs. They started going up again.

One, says Petya, two, three, four, five...

And stopped again.

Forgotten again? Valya asks.

Forgot! How is it! Just remembered, I suddenly forgot! Well, let's try again.

They went down the stairs again, and Petya started over:

One, two, three, four, five...

Maybe twenty-five? Valya asks.

Well no! You just stop thinking! You see, I forgot because of you! Will have to start again.

I don't want to at first! Valya says. - What it is? Up, then down, then up, then down! My legs already hurt.

If you don't want to, don't, - answered Petya. “I won’t go any further until I remember.”

Valya went home and said to her mother:

Mom, there Petya counts steps on the stairs: one, two, three, four, five, but then he doesn’t remember.

Valya ran back to the stairs, and Petya counted all the steps:

One, two, three, four, five...

Six! Valya whispers. - Six! Six!

It’s good that the stairs ended, otherwise he would never have reached the house, because he only learned to count up to ten.

The main character is the boy Petya, who goes to kindergarten. He had just learned to count from one to ten. Petya is so happy with the acquired knowledge that he immediately wants to put it into practice. He diligently begins to count the steps in his house when he returns from kindergarten with his sister Valya.

But here's the problem - after counting five steps, Petya can't remember what number follows the number five. Sister Valya is younger than Petya and she still cannot count. To remember the number, the boy decides to start all over again and goes down to the first step. But, having climbed five steps, he stops again, because the next number cannot be remembered in any way. Stubborn Petya goes down again and starts all over again.

Here Valya, even though she is the younger sister, begins to understand that they will not get home soon. And she runs to her mother for help. Mom calls Valya the next number and she returns to Petya, who once again froze on the fifth step. In a whisper, Valya tells Petya the number and he, delighted, calls the forgotten number aloud, after which the climb up the stairs is successfully completed and the guys come home.

This is the summary of the story.

The main meaning of the story "Steps" is that one should not rush to put into practice not fully acquired knowledge. Haste can lead to a dead end, as happened to Petya, who repeatedly climbed five steps and again went down to the top of the stairs, unable to remember the number "six". Only firmly acquired knowledge can contribute to the successful implementation of any business. The conclusion follows from the story that one should master knowledge very diligently and memorize it firmly, so that later there would be no such annoying hitches as the boy Petya had.

In the story, I liked Valya, Petya's younger sister. She did not lose her head when Petya got into a dead end with counting steps, but quickly ran to her mother for help. Thus, Valya actually "saved" Petya from endless walking up the stairs. Being very small, Valya already realizes how important it is to help people in difficult situations.

What proverbs are suitable for the story "Steps"?

Hurry up and make people laugh.
Be proud not of the knowledge of the tops, but of the knowledge of the roots.
Any help is good in time.

The story shows a simple story about little Petya and his sister Valya. Here Petya's return home from kindergarten is shown. His sister was waiting for him at the gate and was very happy. The road to the house turned out to be long, more precisely, climbing the stairs. The fact is that on that day Petya learned to count. It is clear that this is a very important event for any child. And so he decided to brag a little to his younger sister Valya.

In fact, he boasted that now he can count to ten. But just saying it wasn't enough for him. It was necessary, of course, to demonstrate. And he began to count the steps along which he walked home. Until the sixth, everything was fine: he called the number and took a step ... But Petya suddenly forgot the number "six"! And he doesn't want to go anywhere. More precisely, he went down the stairs again and started his count, but he again lost his way by "six". Valya's legs already hurt to walk up and down. But Petya will be stubborn - he will remember, then he will go, otherwise he cannot turn off his path. Here Petya painfully remembers, but Valya cannot help him in any way, because she still does not know how to count at all.

Then Valya guessed to run to her mother. The girl explained the situation to her, and her mother did not scold Petya, did not take him down the stairs, but simply told Valya, they say, six. And Valya, satisfied, ran back to the stairs, whispered a hint to her brother.

However, it seems that he did not notice this, but “suddenly” remembered that this is the most unfortunate number that did not let him go home, just six. Valya did not focus on this, but rejoiced with her brother.

And only then the boy counted the steps and reached the house, where his mother was already waiting for them. The author rightly remarks, they say, it’s good that there were just ten steps to their apartment. If there were more of them, then, probably, Petya, in general, would not have reached home - out of principle.

The story teaches not to get stuck, because, on the one hand, perseverance is a good quality, and on the other hand, it sometimes interferes with normal life, so you need to choose the golden mean.
