I'm going to the International Law Institute. International Law Institute: faculties, specialties

The International Law Institute was established in 1992 as an experimental university to provide the development of programs for the specialized training of lawyers who are ready to take part in the formation of the Russian market economy. Until 2005, this university was not a state university, but was one of the educational institutions of the Ministry of Justice. Then he received the status of an independent university in accordance with the current legislation. Until that moment, the name was longer: International Law Institute under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Almost a quarter of a century: results

The institute and all its ten branches have been successfully functioning for almost twenty-five years; almost thirty thousand graduates with secondary and higher education came out of these walls. The International Law Institute issues state diplomas, so the holders of this document have no problems with employment. All of them successfully work in the bodies of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, courts, local and federal government bodies, notaries and lawyers, at various enterprises, regardless of ownership.

At the same time, the International Law Institute and its branches train almost ten thousand students. There is a law faculty here, where both bachelors and masters are preparing for legal activity, and there is a postgraduate school. The International Law Institute attaches great importance to the Center for Additional Education existing in its structure.

Here they undergo retraining and improve their qualifications. Over the past years, more than twelve thousand employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the service, the Ministry of Justice, the Bailiff Service, State Registration, Cartography and Cadastre, Judicial Departments and many other municipal, state and private structures have been able to do this.

team

And at that time, when the International Law Institute under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation had not yet shortened its name, this university never raised public funds. Nevertheless, a magnificent own, technically most modern material base for training was created.

Eighty percent of the highly qualified teaching staff are people with academic degrees. In total, there are about eight hundred employees in the team, 437 of them are teachers.

In addition to them, the educational process is supplemented by practitioners, among whom are the heads of regional and federal law enforcement agencies, courts and many other specialized organizations. Both students and all employees who loved their place of work and study - the International Law Institute under the Ministry of the Russian Federation, together with its branches - have always contributed to the creation of a modern civil society, actively participated in the life of the cities where they lived, and thereby raised the level of legal culture of the people inhabiting these places.

Educational process

In the educational process, the institute has always actively used information technology, thanks to which the department of distance learning and external studies was created and is actively working. The International Law Institute under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, already in the first years of its existence, has established itself as a university of excellent quality in preparing students. The use of modern technologies helped not so much in Moscow as in the regions, and especially for correspondence students.

Here, the latest teaching methods are applied, both the creative and intellectual components of all educational activities are increased, continuity and continuity of training is ensured. Educational technologies are being developed and implemented that allow students to use the existing information resources to the maximum. Not only the Moscow International Law Institute has unlimited access to electronic libraries, but also all students of branches. Libraries, by the way, have a full range of educational and methodological literature, which is so necessary for students.

Structure

Masters, who are currently studying more than four hundred people, the International Law Institute prepares for two specialized programs. Postgraduate students are engaged in four specialties, there are already more than two hundred of them together with applicants. More than thirty graduate students have completed their studies, of which seventeen people have successfully defended their Ph.D. dissertations, the rest are preparing for this step. Thirty percent of graduate students received an invitation to cooperate with their native institute as teachers.

To ensure the completeness of the educational process, special departments have been created at the Faculty of Law, where such subjects are studied: theory and history of state and law; civil law; criminal law disciplines; general humanitarian and natural science disciplines; international and European law; business law; constitutional and municipal law; linguistics. The international knows very well, as residents often take advantage of the free advice they receive from practicing students.

The science

Since its opening, the Institute has been actively engaged in scientific research without the slightest interruption. Over the past ten years, the teaching staff and graduate students have prepared and published one hundred and twenty-three scientific papers - this is about one and a half thousand printed sheets (and there are sixteen pages of tightly typed text in one printed typographic sheet!), The circulation was 67,190 copies. In addition, more than one hundred and eighty articles covering various branches of law were written and published by the Institute's staff.

Many of the institute's faculty collaborate with legislators and help create both local and federal laws, as well as provide legal due diligence on regulations. The research scientific laboratory of civil law, named after D. I. Meyer, successfully functions at the institute. A special space is created there for the study of the cultural environment, where legal science develops and young people are educated on the example of leaders who are decisive, broadly competent and ready for effective action.

Students and interns

The International Law Institute, the reviews of students about which are full of warmth and enthusiasm, cares very much about how and with what the youth lives, who have connected their lives with jurisprudence. Since 2001, the university has been publishing the journal Vestnik MUI, which provides all kinds of scientific information. Branches also have their own press organs. Student practice is very well organized, which, along with theoretical training, plays a huge role in the future of each student.

The university cooperates for this purpose with many departments and organizations, but it is worth noting that the practice of the future lawyer, completed within the walls of the Federation Council, the State Duma, legislative and executive authorities of the regions, as well as in the system of the Ministry of Justice, arbitration courts, advocacy, prosecutors, notaries chamber, regional municipal courts, major banking institutions, in any of these places, will add a lot to the knowledge and practical skills of a novice lawyer.

Charity practice

In addition, the institute and all branches have many legal clinics where low-income citizens can receive legal assistance free of charge. Students and teachers willingly participate in such assistance to the population. Along with this, the practice necessary for students is acquired.

This is how the orientation of training, professional skills are formed. Student societies in science are also fruitful, where scholarship holders of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government, as well as grant holders, winners of Olympiads, and so on, participate.

International activity

The scientific society of students created at the institute actively participates in interuniversity competitions, scientific and practical conferences, in the work of the civil law laboratory. International programs are actively developing.

Only in recent years, more than six hundred students have traveled abroad to get acquainted with the legal systems of other states, with the jurisprudence of the European Community, with the practices of international arbitration, the law of international business, and so on.

More than two hundred students and professors from scientific and educational institutions of various foreign countries took part in scientific and practical conferences, international scientific round tables, attended seminars and other events organized by the International Law Institute.

Faculties

The faculty, in theory, is only one at the institute - law. But extensive departments may well be called that too. The proportion in the structure of the Institute of the Department of Distance Technologies, Master's Degree, the Department of Secondary Vocational Education, and the Center for Additional Vocational Education is huge. The Faculty of Law is the first division in the Institute, and after the reorganization and merger with the Faculty of Regional Education, it has also become the largest. This faculty managed to give higher education and a diploma to more than ten thousand students.

Now students are preparing in the specialty "Jurisprudence" and in the direction of training - also "Jurisprudence". Training can be conducted by correspondence, part-time and full-time forms. Now the faculty has 667 students, and only 124 of them study full-time. The material base, which the faculty owns, allows for training at the highest level - both professional and methodological, since it is modern and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

Equipment

Students and faculty have a courtroom where mock trials are held in criminal and civil cases, where students first try their hand at pre-preparation and subsequent conduct of trials. In addition, the rest of the studies take place in specially equipped classrooms, where they study international, European, constitutional and municipal law, as well as criminal law and forensic science. For each of these sections of training, an appropriate audience is equipped.

For example, the audience of criminology and criminal law has all the conditions for carrying out the necessary investigative actions: this is forensic ballistics, handwriting examination, and the study of edged weapons and their replacement items. Here you can make a cast from human footprints, identify a criminal by external signs, here they learn to conduct search work, inspect and search the scene of incidents, and so on.

The audiences where they study the theory and history of state and law, foreign languages are also excellently equipped. And there are also civil law laboratories, which have already been mentioned above - this is the real pride of the institute. To relieve stress after intense study, the faculty has a well-equipped gym.

The International Law Institute is one of the most prestigious Russian institutions of higher education. It trains specialists in the field of law: lawyers, jurists, jurists.

History of the institute

The International Law Institute was founded in 1992. This decision was made by the Government of Russia. The corresponding resolution provided for the creation of an experimental higher educational institution within the legal academy. It was supposed to ensure the training of specialists in programs for lawyers in the new Russian reality, in which the market economy came to the fore instead of the planned one.

From the moment of its foundation until 2005, the International Law was a non-state educational institution. At the same time, he was part of the system of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. In the mid-2000s, the ministry decided to bring it into line with current legislation. So it became an institution of higher professional education.

Students of the International Law Institute

Currently, the International Law Institute has been chosen as a place for professional education by about 8 thousand students. Moreover, they study not only in the capital, where the head center is located, but also in branches throughout the country.

Students are prepared to study at the university in the relevant law colleges. After completing the main course, you can continue your education in graduate school or a specialized center for additional education. As a rule, already on a paid basis.

At the same time, basic education at the university is carried out within the framework of budget financing. That is, the most talented students have the opportunity to get it for free.

Over the years of work, a modern material and technical base has been created. Today, students use modern technical teaching aids. The staff of the university is about 800 people. Of these, more than half are teachers with high scientific degrees. In addition to theoretical specialists, practitioners are actively involved in teaching - heads of law enforcement agencies, lawyers and judges, who on a daily basis face questions and problems that students discuss at lectures and seminars.

Branches of the university

For a quarter of a century of the existence of the university, branches were opened in different cities of Russia. Only 9, which have already trained 30 thousand qualified specialists who have received both higher and secondary legal education. Graduates who graduated from the International Law Institute subsequently get jobs in the internal affairs bodies, the Prosecutor General's Office and even the Ministry of Justice without any problems. They work in the judicial and legal system, notary offices, in private companies.

Every year, thousands of young applicants are attracted by the international law institute. Branches are open in Astrakhan, Ivanovo, Volzhsky, Nizhny Novgorod, Korolev, Nizhny Tagil, Odintsovo/Zvenigorod, Tula, Smolensk.

Students in the Russian regions tend to study at this university. Therefore, the International Law Institute regularly opens new branches. Ivanovo acquired its representative office one of the first in the Central Federal District. Here a branch was established in 2000. In this city, you can master the specialty "jurisprudence" during a four-year study, as well as complete advanced training programs within the framework of the department of additional professional education.

Faculties of the International Law Institute

The main faculty for which applicants enter the International Law Institute under the Ministry of Justice is "Jurisprudence".

This is the oldest faculty of the university, the first graduation of which took place in 1998. In 2012, the Institute underwent a large-scale reorganization, after which the Faculty of Regional Education became part of the Faculty of Law. Now almost 700 students are getting higher education here, about 150 of them are full-time students.

The faculty conducts training in the specialty "jurisprudence" both full-time and part-time.

An important feature: while still studying at a university, students can gain practical skills that will help them in their future work. Thus, students who entered the International Law Institute under the Ministry of Justice provide free advice to residents of the Moscow region of Marfino.

college at the institute

An important role in the system of this higher educational institution is played by the faculty of secondary vocational education. A college where students study law.

After graduation, an official state diploma is issued in the specialty "Law and organization of social security."

Upon leaving the university, a graduate can work to help citizens exercise their legal rights, primarily in the field of social protection and pensions. Or engage in organizational work in social security institutions that are part of the Pension Fund of Russia.

Center for Continuing Education

The Center for Additional Professional Education was established at this university in 1999. Over the years, 12 thousand specialists have been retrained here. All of them are employees of the system of the Ministry of Justice, bailiffs, customs officers, rescuers, employees of state registration, cadastre and cartography and other government agencies.

The management sees the introduction of modern information technologies as one of the main tasks for the university. With their help, the learning process becomes more efficient.

So, in 2004, on the basis of the institute, a distance learning center was organized, which is used by many students. Thanks to this novelty, the level of graduates in the regions approached the federal level. After all, all students, in fact, interactively listen to the same lectures, participate in discussions together.

Training of masters and postgraduate students

The preparation of masters at the university began in 2009. Three years later, qualified specialists went to improve their skills in this profession.

Today, about 100 people study at the magistracy. These are only those who entered the day department.

The institute acquired its postgraduate studies in 2001. Here students are trained in 4 specialties. It is worth noting that those who have graduated from graduate school often become candidates of science in the very near future. About a third of graduate students remain lecturers at the university.

Research work

The institute pays great attention to scientific research. Articles and monographs prepared by students and teachers are constantly published. Over the years of the existence of the university, almost 70 thousand copies of this book production have been released. Nearly 200 more publications deal with various aspects of law.

The teachers themselves are involved in the formulation of local and federal laws.

The pride of the institute is a research laboratory. Its task is to ensure that students study on the most modern equipment. Having become acquainted with the novelties, in the future they will be easier to adapt to a permanent workplace, they will be able to get a prestigious and highly paid specialty. Even if there are no such technical achievements there.

The most demanded, of course, is the Faculty of Law. It also includes the university's own legal clinic.

A unique feature of MUI is the ability to combine classical teaching skills and innovative technologies. In 2004, the Distance Learning Center was established on the basis of the university. The modern solution made it possible to make higher education accessible to everyone. An important direction in the educational process is assigned to MUI and practice. Thus, university students undergo internships at the Federation Council, the State Duma, and large law firms.

Opportunities for continuing education

To date, the educational process at the institute is built taking into account the requirements of the European (Bologna) system. The first stage involves studying for a bachelor's degree, in the future, students have the opportunity to enroll in a master's program. Today this direction specializes in two training programs. Only persons who already have a diploma of higher education, a bachelor's degree or a specialist can enter the magistracy of a university. The duration of training ranges from two to two and a half years, depending on the chosen form of the course (full-time or part-time).

In order to continue receiving higher education, postgraduate studies have been opened at the university since 2001. Applicants at admission can choose one of four scientific directions. Training is carried out both internally and in absentia.

In addition, an aviation center operates at the university, on the basis of which certified training of flight attendants of various levels is carried out.

Scientific and international activities of MUI

In addition to educational activities, much attention is paid to research projects at the university. Over the past ten years, university staff have achieved significant heights in this area:

An important direction in the development of the university is international activity, especially much attention has been paid to it in recent years. MUI students often go on internships abroad, participate in international symposiums and conferences.

I want to express my deep gratitude to the teachers of the TF MUI, who treat students with understanding and can easily arouse interest in their discipline. Thanks to the administration, which keeps order in the educational institution. I would also like to thank the administration for educational work and the student council for organizing events!

I am a 3rd year student at MUI TF, I would like to express my gratitude to all the teaching staff for their reverent and conscientious attitude to work, to students and directly to their subjects.

I can only note the teaching staff on the positive side .. The university employs teachers who have worked and are working as law enforcement officers, former judges (who, through their own experience, sought decisions through the Supreme Court that put the bodies of the local judicial community in their place). I can note the impeccable knowledge of civil law, since I myself have been working in my specialty for more than 8 years with the following teachers Kulyabin, Kokarev, Mironenko, Glukhova, Shapovalov, etc. Of course ...

In 2017, I entered the MUI as a full-time part-time student, there were 7 people in the group, but the teachers claimed that it was okay and we would be taught as expected. But after half a year of study, they discover the news that there are 3 people left in the group and it is not profitable for the institute to teach us, they issued academic certificates and said they were transferring to another institute. They didn’t transfer to another institute, because few disciplines were taught at MUI, to be more precise 3. As a result, I lost a whole year, thanks to ...

Graduated from MUI in 2018. I am very satisfied with the teaching staff, the knowledge gained at MUI. It is necessary to study in order to gain knowledge!

Disgraceful behavior of the teaching staff. They don't really want to learn. They do not arouse any interest in studying, they are more concerned that the same term paper is correctly framed, for reporting - you can write there at least they will not notice nonsense. The schedule will be sent out. a day 18 hours before the start, but for the next payment, they send letters every day!

Learning is interesting! I would like to say thanks to the director of the college O. E. Salnikova, teachers Yu. L. Abramov, V. V. Khorev, V. V. Solomatova - the classes are very interesting, they give a lot of practice!

Good afternoon! Studied at the Astrakhan branch of MUI. I liked everything very much. Teachers lead classes in an interesting way, give examples from their practice and court decisions. Some teachers ask very strictly, but as it turned out, they do it for a reason. I would especially like to mention such teachers as Shapiro I. M., Smirnov A. V., Bykova S. I., Tyurenkova K. A., Shevlyakov P. Yu., Walter A. K., Donskaya E. V., Markelov S. V., Muravieva K. A., Demidov A. S., Nogaeva V. B. and others. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Thanks to...

Odintsovo branch - a complete bottom! Guys, in no case do not go to MUI (off), just a divorce, there are no teachers. Couples cancel all the time. There is no organization. Not an ounce of respect or humanity.

Everything is finally over. Now I can tell the truth. Astrakhan branch is sinking. The teachers talk about anything but the subject. I know well what to eat in order to build mass or dry muscles, we did this on the theory of Go and the truth. The teachers don't go to class, they just don't come. We do not even wait for them, the headman says - they will not come and that's it. But my mother studied here. True, it was under Cherdakov and his team. And now there is a complete absence of professional teachers, a bunch of half-educated people with stupidly abstruse ...

A wonderful institution with good teachers who know their job very well. No bribes or anything like that. I am very glad that I came here.

I love my institute! I love the Ivanovo branch! In general, I love the message of the institute! They're cool! Entered a year ago. Now on the 2nd course. I generally like everything. I've read a lot of negative reviews. Everything is not true. For example, here we have an eternally dissatisfied girl in our group, she is dissatisfied in principle with everything, life, attitude, teachers, curator, director. In general, her life was not successful from the beginning. So she walks around and comes up with all sorts of nasty things. Do not believe such people, they are immediately visible, from afar ...

The institute is good, excellent teaching staff, I studied part-time, no bribes, convenient, prestigious, and even received a diploma from Moscow.

I applied for an external study, because with a baby without grandparents it was not possible to go to take exams, and I needed a diploma in order to be able to represent the interests of parents in court in the future. I have them simple, they don't know how to react to the lies they face. I think why waste time - if there is such a teaching method - take it at home without going to the session, then slowly, while my son grows up, I will learn. I came to MUI: they say why do you need this external study when you are 2 years old (on an external course ...

I study in the Astrakhan branch at the full-time department - I like everything. The teachers know their subject, most of the training is interesting. Many opportunities to realize themselves outside of studies, responsive dean's office. The cost of education is an order of magnitude lower than other legal institutions in Astrakhan. For three years, no one has ever asked for bribes, and in general there have never even been rumors about them. And it’s also very nice when you come to an internship, you say that you are with MUI, and everyone knows our institute and they say that they are glad that student interns are from there))

I don’t know how it is in other branches or in Moscow, I’ll say about the Ivanovo branch of the MUI. The teaching staff leaves much to be desired - only 3 or 4 full-time teachers, the rest are all part-time. For some reason, candidates of chemical, pedagogical sciences read legal disciplines, but not legal ones. Truly intelligent teachers who love their job can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The tuition fee for this university is unreasonably high, and it is growing every year. Short...
