Management reception. Relationships of the planets (mutual reception)

Mutual reception- a special case of reception between planets. Occurs when both planets are in places of each other's essential power. It means a situation when two significators are connected with each other by mutual interest and mutual assistance relations. Mutual reception can be strong or weak, mixed or normal. strong mutual reception occurs in cases where the planets are in places of strong essential virtues with each other - in a monastery or exaltation. Weak occurs when the planets exchange weak virtues - term, face, triplicity and others. Some refer triplicities and mutual reception on them as strong types of mutual reception. mixed mutual reception occurs when planets exchange unequal virtues - for example, control and exaltation, control and face. Plain- when the planets are in the same merits of each other.
It is believed that with mutual reception, the planets are able to solve their affairs in an alternative way - through an exchange of position with the ruling planet. There are two points of view on the question of how such an exchange takes place. According to one of them, the planets change places, according to the other, the planets change signs (keeping their natal degree).
In modern natal astrology, only strong mutual reception is taken into account. It is generally accepted that mutual reception significantly increases the good that can be given

.

Major aspects are the main part, the lion's share of our energy. Successful harmonization, even at this level, is no more than enough to taste the fruits of self-transformation. As forminor aspects,then they are important, first of all, when they are an integral part in the configuration of aspects. All minor aspects require awareness for their successful development. For example, semi-square and one and a half square can manifest as an unconscious stereotype associated with poor-quality or excessively risky solutions to certain problems. As a result, we periodically encounter problems that we ourselves have created. It is necessary to realize that the cause of breakdowns (one and a half square) or excessive friction (half square) is our own fault. And only the realization of this and the acceptance of responsibility for one's own life give a real perspective to correct their action.

This applies even more to aspects such asnonagon(40°) and quintile(72°). From my point of view, the so-called "creative" and "karmic" aspects are emerging karma. It is something potential that has not yet become a possibility. Aspects of group 72 are relationships that are developing towards harmonious aspects, but have not yet become them. Aspects of the group of 40 are relationships that are developing towards tense aspects, however, they have not yet “grown up”. It can be easier to explain with an example. Let's say that life brought two strangers together. For example, a man and a woman meet at a festive table. Their relationship at this stage is described by a nonagon (if they were brought together to get to know each other and something needs to be done now) or by a quintile (if they themselves perceive this as a unique opportunity). Further development of relations is possible according to two scenarios. Our two characters begin to communicate and come to the conclusion that they either have common interests and topics for conversation (sextile), or they don’t, and communication becomes difficult (square). If the relationship nevertheless develops, then it is likely that they will develop in the form of a partnership on two or three of the easiest and most interesting topics for both (trines). Or these two people will come to the conclusion that the relationship is not possible, and that they themselves, as people, are incomprehensible and unpleasant to each other (opposition). Therefore, I emphasize: the study of phenomenal aspects goes, firstly, through the awareness of how they already operate in our lives. And, secondly, through the evolution of these aspects towards major, that is, acting in an explicit way. And then everything - as with majors. That is why, for example, it is believed that the adjusted nonagon gives protection. In other words, a person has already passed the stage when nonagon became an obvious aspect, acting like a quadrature or opposition, and went even further, having managed to prepare himself for its action. The same applies to the quintile - it will act as an aspect of original and unexpected events only when we ourselves develop it towards a major aspect, when we consciously exploit its unique capabilities.

Next, a few words need to be said aboutthe specifics of the interaction of the planets in any of the aspects.The planets are not equal in aspect. Depending on the essential strength of the sign, one of the participants will be stronger than the other. In this case, there is a "flow" of energy from a stronger to a weaker one, as in the law of communicating vessels. If the connection is harmonious, the weak planet is "feeded". And through this aspect, you can correct its quality into a positive one. The best situation here is what is called in the traditional literature"give strength": when a strong planet is in a sign, exaltation, or other essential virtue, it has the power to help another, even if it is in debilitation or detriment. One of the ways to work on weakened planets is precisely to "give them a helping hand" through the strengthening of a strong planet in this harmonious relationship.

For example, if a strong planet in the Tenth House and a weak one in the Second are connected by a trine, then it is directly recommended to solve your material problems through a position, obtaining a title, or through gaining popularity.

If the connection is tense, then the "power-giving" planet does not support, but destroys its counterpart. Such an aspect can in itself destroy many things in life, especially if the second planet is in exile or fall. And it is precisely this situation that especially requires the development of an aspect relationship, since the strengthening of any of the planets will lead here to painful problems.

An easier case to work out in the traditional literature is called"to give back to nature".This occurs when a planet is in aspect to the ruler of the sign of its disposition, triplicity, terma, or to a planet that is exalted in that sign. The tense aspect in this case is not as harmful as in all other variants. But the main thing here is that usually people who have such a relationship themselves intuitively find the right ways to work out this aspect. After all, both of his planets are already in symbolic agreement on management, in a symbolic conjunction.

And, finally, the last and very interesting possibility of correcting the qualities of the planets isuse of mutual reception.Mutual reception is effective for our purposes when these are two planets that are in the signs of control or exaltation of each other. They seem to be visiting each other and can mutually delegate their qualities and powers to one another. Most often, a person uses mutual reception quite naturally and intuitively for these purposes. Its disadvantage is only that it is not so often found in natal charts.

Mutual reception- this is the most successful situation for the correction of weakened planets. If Venus is in Virgo, and Mercury is in Libra, this is a mutual reception for control. For Venus, who is also in her fall in Virgo, this is a great opportunity for compensation. That is, the planets have the opportunity to develop as if Venus were in Libra, and Mercury was in Virgo. But how exactly to understand and astrologically interpret such a situation - there is no unity among astrologers. In the literature, there are two ways to understand mutual reception. For example, Ivy Jacobson and a number of other astrologers believe that when we perform such castling, the planets change signs, but not degrees. That is, they remain in the same degrees in which they are in the natal chart, but at the same time they change signs. And Olivia Barkley and a number of other authors believe that the planets change not only in signs, but also in degrees. And I agree with this point of view. The fact is that the planets can delegate their qualities only to where there is their "representation". It is impossible to transfer qualities to the empty space of the map. To make this thesis more obvious, imagine that mutual reception occurs not through the control of signs, but through the control of terms.

I have not tracked in my practice cases of multiple reception, when not two, but, for example, three or more planets are in mutual reception. But I believe that all of the above applies to such cases, since the fundamental laws remain unshakable.

Thus, by working with mutual reception, it is possible to successfully develop such qualities that are not explicitly outlined in the horoscope. A person with such a position seems to have a hidden reserve for evolution along two planets that participate in mutual reception. The special charm of this situation is that by changing the places of the planets, we change not only their essential dignity, but also their aspects. Moreover, both as planets and as Rulers of Houses. And this opens up such opportunities that, it would seem, are hidden or do not exist at all in the natal chart. And, like so much else in this book, it really works.

Such, for example, is the legendary personality of Morihei Ueshiba (12/14/1883), the creator of Aikido, a unique style of martial art built on the absence of active opposition to the enemy. Even in his youth, he became physically very strong, one of the best traditional style fighters in Japan, which is quite consistent with his Sun-Mars trine with one-sided reception. However, his spiritual quest led him to a radical transformation of his own personality and approach to martial arts. He became a legendary teacher who radically changed the very essence of martial art practice. This is perfectly described by the mutual reception of the Sun and Jupiter in his chart. When their places change, relationships arise that were not originally in the birth chart. The trine of personal power Sun-Mars is replaced by the teacher trine Mars-Jupiter, and the retrograde and egoistic-lionic Jupiter turns into the spiritual-missionary Jupiter in the monastery. The new position of the Sun in Leo receives aspects that were not in the natal chart - for example, a sextile with Pluto. And even in the old black-and-white photographs of this eighty-year-old man, his outstanding personal charisma, sharp mind and unbending will are visible. By the way, another mutual reception in his chart is indicative in this regard, as a result of which Saturn from a mediocre Saturn in Gemini turns into a stone Saturn in Capricorn.

Mutual reception has another non-obvious aspect of application. It's about transit. When we work with the choice of time for the study of a particular planet that is in the natal chart in mutual reception, then we can use not only her in transits, but also her "substitute".

As regards the ways of switching on mutual reception in a particular person as a mutual replacement of two planets, I will not be able, unfortunately, to give formal instructions. It is my deep conviction that such a transformation is very intimate and individual, it is the inner competence of the Soul. However, there is nothing unnatural or super complex in it. From what I know from the examples of people I know personally and from celebrities, mutual reception begins to "work" with the acquisition of internal independence by a person. It is just as if a person settled down for some time in an unfamiliar house and, when he finally settled down in it, he would find that some furniture moves easily and opens access to other rooms that the owner had not even suspected before.

If mutual reception is an easy and fairly simple case to work through, thenferal planets (planets in mine)is a difficult case. The absence of aspects significantly complicates the evolution of the planet. In some sense, it turns out to be infantile, underdeveloped, compared to the rest of the horoscope. There are only three ways to work with it. This is, firstly, the strengthening of its Ruler by symbolic analogies, as well as through symbolic events during the transit aspects of the planet to the natal position. Also, a planet "in the mine" can be activated on all transit connections of other planets with its natal position, even if they are not connected with it by control. The third way is simpler, more intense, but also often more painful. This is a situation when we are working on our own feral planet through synastric connections with planets or corner points of someone else's horoscope. Such relationships are rarely easy. But it is worth paying attention to them, as this is a unique opportunity, which, moreover, rarely comes into our lives by accident.

In conclusion of the topic, I will have to mention a specific delusion that roams among karmic astrologers with someone's light hand. We are talking about the fact that tense aspects are considered "generating energy", and harmonious - "consuming". This is due to a shallow understanding of the essence. The example of J. Kefer mentioned above illustrates this by the fact that on tense aspects people fuss, work, and on harmonious ones they relax and have more fun. However, in reality, the understanding is strictly the opposite. Tense aspects are aspects that in our personal balance fit into the "expenditure item of the budget." It is on them that our forces are expended rapidly. If the aspect is very strong, then we are faced with a situation where we really do not have enough resources to prevent a problem situation. Not enough money (everything has already been used up), not enough strength (exhausted), not enough patience or anything else. Harmonious aspects are those connections on which the accumulation of personal resources takes place - money, fame, love, etc. And that is why in many horoscopes there is a situation familiar to so many astrologers. How often, looking at an outwardly prosperous chart, have you asked yourself the question: why does this closed trine (bisextile, trine, etc.) not work? And the answer is simple - harmonious aspects cannot manifest themselves in full force until a person has corrected his tense aspects. This is very important to understand. Until we have harmonized our oppositions and quadratures at least in the first approximation (even if they are only in the singular), until then all harmonious aspects work not for evolution and development, but only for our survival. This is easier to explain with an example. Imagine an avid casino gambler. The more money he has, the more he is able to lose. The greater will be his despair. The problem is that he already has money, but he either does not understand it or does not appreciate it. And he pays dearly for his vice, which gives him dubious pleasure and pushes everything to new and new losses. We are all such players in some sense. Only our games are different, and the object of our obsession is different. Let us suppose that we have tense and harmonious aspects to the Moon. In this case, until a person forgets how to feel sorry for himself and endlessly indulge his emotional imbalance, until then all harmonious aspects will work only as a means of consolation and getting out of crises and depressions. And no more. There are great "masters" in such degradation of their horoscope. It also happens that the energy of a whole closed trine is spent only on continuously dissipating it through one or two tense aspects. A pitiful and terrible sight. However, by changing the tense connection, even just by reducing its intensity, we perform a real miracle - the harmonious aspect begins to work, since now its energy is not spent "to the last drop." Excess resources are formed, which were previously continuously spent. And life is changing dramatically, and sometimes in ways that are not perceptible to an outside observer. It seems that you change only some absurd character trait, and the effect is observed in completely different areas. Suppose, if we had a tense aspect of Mars to the Ruler of the Second House, then weaning ourselves from haste and anger leads (automatically) to an increase in income, and outwardly this may be a completely unobvious relationship!

But, as always, when we reach a new level, we face new challenges. For example, the growth of wealth in the above example will also lead to an increase in temptations, which will again "break through" through the tense aspect in the horoscope. And again it will have to be corrected, but at a completely different, higher level. For critics of the concept presented here, I will explain: the square in our horoscope will always remain a square, and the trine will always remain a trine. However, the level of forces and the intensity with which they operate is a matter of our free will, a matter of working through the aspect. What I am talking about here is the third dimension, the spiritual dimension, which in principle is not displayed in a flat drawing of a horoscope.

Finding the planets in each other's signs of dignity is called reception. Reception shows the interest of the planets to each other.

The planet loves its dispositor most of all, i.e. the ruler of the sign it is in.

The planet exalts the planet in whose exaltation sign it has fallen, perceives it as if through rose-colored glasses, inadequately. Reception by exaltation is like passionate love, which happens at the beginning of a relationship between people.

When a planet is in the triplicity of another planet, it is like friendship. There is no love and passion, but there is interest and quite normal friendships.

A term relationship is like an acquaintance, when people can sit side by side, chat, like neighbors on a bench, while no special relationship binds them together.

The stay of a planet in the face of another planet can be compared with a hatred acquaintance - yes, we know each other, but we don’t know anything about each other, and we will spend time with someone else.

If a planet is in exile another is the opposite of being in control, so it shows hatred.

The moon is in the example in the place of exile of Venus, whoever the Moon shows, she looks at everything differently from Venus and hates her.

If a planet is in the sign of its exile, it fears the ruler of that sign.

A planet in the sign of its ruling, which is the sign of exile of some other planet, she (the mistress) treats this planet with contempt, with contempt.

Fall is opposite exaltation and shows contempt in rejection, but not hatred.

If his planet is not at all in any of the places of power of another planet, this indicates that she is not at all interested in her.

That. Thus, the reception shows in the affairs of which planet our significator is most or least interested.

If two planets have the same owner, this suggests that they may not be interested in each other, but they have a common interest that will connect them.

For example, in the horary chart, Mercury and Venus are in the first degrees of Aries, where they have no virtues, but have a common dispositor Mars. So Mars will signify that common interest that connects Mercury with Venus. If Mars in a chart is, say, the ruler of the 5th house, perhaps they will exercise together in the same fitness center.

If these are signs that do not see each other, and one planet is in a sign of control, for example, Venus, and the other is in a sign of exaltation of Venus, they also have a common interest, although not as powerful.

In general, the ancients called this situation reception: when one planet makes an aspect to another planet, being in places of its power. For example, Mercury makes an aspect to Venus while in Libra.

And when the planets are simply in places of each other's strength, but without an aspect, this is reciprocity.

When the planets are in places of each other's strength, and at the same time also in aspect, this is a mutual reception.

As a rule, the reception of the same name is considered. For example, the Sun in Taurus, Venus in Leo. This is the reception for the monastery. Or: Venus in Taurus, Moon in Pisces - reception by exaltation.

But the reception is of a very different nature. Planet A can be in the abode of planet B, and planet B is in the exaltation sign of planet A. This is already a mixed reception. Or, say, planet A is in the planet B's home, and planet B is in the Triplicity of planet A. This is also an example of a mixed reception. Of course, each of these receptions is read in its own way.

Mutual reception shows how two planets relate to each other.

Planets in each other's abode like each other and are ready to help one another. They will be able to help each other exactly on the strength of reception and on their personal, i.e. the power that each of them currently possesses.

Thus, positive mutual reception strengthens the planets. Negative mutual reception weakens them. Negative reception is the position of the planets in the signs of exile from each other. For example, Mercury in Virgo, Jupiter in Sagittarius. Each of the planets is in its own abode, but at the same time in the signs of each other's exile.

The more virtues that the planets receive from each other, the more they strengthen each other.

At the same time, it is important to remember that each of the planets can accept help exactly to the strength that it itself possesses. Those. The planet can "lift the load" based on its own forces. The reception of two peregrines will describe the situation "neither give nor take".

Planets in reception must be strong and accidental, otherwise they lack the ability to help or receive help.

Positive mutual reception is similar to partnerships. Planet A, which has the power, for example, of exaltation, may be in reception with planet B, which is in its sign of exile.

A few words should also be said about the aspects between the planets in reception. If one planet is involved in aspects with several other planets, the aspect with the planet with which it is in reciprocity will always work first.

From all of the above, it becomes clear that it is not enough to know what dignity a planet has in a map. It is important to take into account the influence of dispositors of different levels on it.

When the planet is in a weakened position, i.e. in exile or fall, she is exiled or falls into another planet's place of power. The planet will be afraid, worried about everything that is described in this card by its dispositor.

For example, planet A is in the sign of planet B, which is its place of exile. She will be afraid of what planet B describes in the chart. If planet B in this chart rules, say, the 8th house, then planet A will have fears associated with death.

For those who analyze the trends taking place in domestic astrology, it is obvious that the method of chains of dispositions is gaining more and more popularity. This is facilitated by the curricula of some astrological educational institutions, the spread of the soul formula system, as well as side branches of its method. So, if Alexander Astrogor based the formula of the soul on the method of chains of dispositions by possession, then his student Sergei Dresvyannikov decided to christen his author's interpretation of the chains of exaltation as the “career formula”, etc. Recently, the Magi school has also been trying to creatively interpret the chains of exile and fall.

One might get the impression that the method of chains of dispositions is a phenomenon that exists only in Russia. But this, of course, is not the case. One of the works where we find a section on the “tree of dispositors” and examples of the interpretation of control chains is Kevin Burke’s book “Astrology. How to read a birth chart”, published by the American publishing house “Llewellyn” in 2002 and later translated into Russian.

But before moving on to consideration, let's talk about the views of a foreign astrologer on the various manifestations of the planets, depending on their status, and also touch on the subject of mutual reception.

Motivations by planets

Analyzing Burke's book, we do not find tables where the astrologer would give readers a list of the meanings of the planets that fell into the center by possession, although he analyzes the chains of control themselves. Nevertheless, if we read the descriptions of the planets given by the author, we can identify the following motivations.

The sun
  • the desire to express oneself through creativity;
  • motivation to be recognized, to receive admiration;
  • the desire to have power, to lead.
Moon
  • the desire to be in comfort and create it;
  • the urge to feel and provide inner support, care;
  • the desire to feel belonging, to perceive.
Mercury
  • the desire to express one's intellect;
  • motivation to explore the environment;
  • motivation to make connections.
Venus
  • the desire to establish relationships, connect different people with each other;
  • motivation to promote the interests of beauty;
  • the desire to achieve perfection through association, partnership.
Mars
  • motivation to act, to spend one's energy purposefully;
  • the desire to challenge and endure the test;
  • motivation to defend purely their interests;
  • desire to get involved in a fight and achieve superiority.
Jupiter
  • desire to contribute to the social development of society;
  • the desire to teach, teach others;
  • the tendency to encourage and inspire others to grow.
Saturn
  • motivation to systematize, establish boundaries and orders;
  • the desire to learn and teach self-discipline, responsibility;
  • desire to bring order and structure to social life.
Uranus
  • motivation to change, break stable and inert structures, regardless of individual experience or emotions;
  • the desire to learn non-attachment;
  • the tendency to introduce fundamentally new ideas and methods into life.
Neptune
  • the desire to erase all boundaries between the souls of people or between man and the universe;
  • the desire to merge with the higher, spiritual;
  • motivation to experience a sense of unity with the world;
  • the intention to realize the dreams, ideals and desires of the collective unconscious.
Pluto
  • motivation to change and evolve; fulfill your cosmic mission;
  • desire to influence people, society;
  • the desire to release in oneself and others a huge hidden potential of opportunities through the breaking of the old and transformation;
  • the desire to destroy all illusions in order to reveal to the world and to oneself only the truth.

While reading Burke's work, I also noticed the following point. Moreover, Burke is not alone here, some other authors, including domestic ones, write the same thing. So the Western astrologer notes that by the position of the Sun, we can study people's motives for self-expression. He also writes that the Sun communicates what we want to express and what we want to be recognized for (p. 31). But after all, chains of dispositions by possession are also an indicator of motivation for self-expression, aren't they? How can two completely different indicators say the same thing? And they often give different answers. What is the difference between them? Burke does not reveal this point. And, alas, I have not yet found an answer to this question in the literature.

Burke's view of the mutual reception of planets in a chart

As the astrologer writes, when mutual reception occurs, both planets will act together, regardless of which planets are in question. These planets will try to help each other. Burke emphasizes: mutual reception does not affect the impact of essential virtues! How much the planets can actually help each other will depend on what virtues each of them has received.

Here it is worth clarifying that Kevin Burke is largely a supporter of the old school of astrology, he believes that the fact that we have a night or day horoscope affects the essential dignity of the planets. When receptions of Jupiter and Mars their position, writes the astrologer, is not so bad. For example, Jupiter is in Aries and Mars is in Pisces. Burke, adhering to the old tradition, decided not to change the ruler of Pisces to the planet Neptune. Of course, we do not agree with this. However, let's continue with his example. (In the system of the formula of the soul, or in the classical Russian approach to chains of dispositions by possession, the mutual reception of Mars and Jupiter is possible when Mars is in Sagittarius, and Jupiter is in Aries.) Burke writes that with the reception of Jupiter-Mars, both planets will be able to provide support to each other: Mars will share with Jupiter its pressure and energy, and Jupiter will endow Mars with luck and luck.

If we take Mars in Capricorn and Saturn in Aries, then the position of Mars will be wonderful, for him it is a sign of exaltation. But the position of Saturn, on the contrary, will be weak - a fall. Since in our example the planets will be connected by mutual reception, they will act together, but Saturn will get a much less advantageous position. Mars in Capricorn has power and can "help" Saturn. But here Saturn in Aries will spoil everything rather than “help”. He may have the best of intentions, but in most cases Mars would prefer Saturn not to pay him a favor for a favor.

Thus, we can reveal an obviously unvoiced sub-conclusion: the planet that is stronger in points will manifest itself in mutual reception much more confidently and constructively than a weak partner. A weaker planet will influence the one that is stronger, but it will rather constrain manifestations, “muddle the waters” than really help.

Next, Burke considers the "ordinary" case - reception of Mercury and Jupiter. Jupiter, for example, is in Gemini, and Mercury is in Sagittarius. Both planets will be in exile, and neither of them will be able to be useful to the other, the astrologer writes. The simultaneous participation of these two planets only complicates the situation. The "help" of Jupiter in Gemini can only increase the problem, and the "help" of Mercury in Sagittarius is likely to inflate the importance of each particular, but will not be able to do anything for the big picture. Burke notes that some call this situation "mutual deception", ie. mutual deceit. As the astrologer says, this situation happens between the following pairs of planets: Mercury-Jupiter, Venus-Mars, Sun-Saturn, Moon-Saturn. The Sun-Uranus, Mercury-Neptune, Pluto-Venus pairs could be added to this list.

Kevin Burke on the essential virtues of the planets

Burke, being a supporter of tradition, relies on the classical idea of the essential virtues of the planets. So, he writes about the five virtues of the planets and two positions without them. Governance is 5 points, exaltation is 4, triplicity is 3, terma is 2, face is 1. While in exile or fall, the planets do not receive points in this system *. These are positions of "weakness".

  • Planet in the monastery(6 points according to Weisberg; 5 points according to Burke) is a master of his talent. She can do whatever she wants and doesn't have to answer to anyone. At the same time, no one will say "no" to her - no matter how stupid, selfish and dangerous or potentially destructive her ideas are. In their own signs, the planets are able to express their true nature, their highest purpose as it is (p. 90-93).
  • Planets in exaltation(5 Weisberg; 4 Burke) are very strong and in many ways easier to deal with than the planets in their respective signs. These planets strive to show their best side, they want to be active and generous. But they are still shackled, unlike the planet in the monastery, which no one controls. The exalted planet seems to be striving to curry favor (p. 93).
  • The four-point planets in the Weisberg system, which was later adopted by other domestic astrologers, including A. Astrogor, correspond to triplicity Burke (in his system it is 3 points). This is also a pretty strong position. Although a planet in this position does not have the same strength as a planet in a sign or exaltation, it is still quite fortunate. As Burke writes, although triplicity planets are not that talented, they seem to be lucky and know how to be in the right place at the right time.
  • Weisberg's three-point planets correspond to position in terma Burke (2 points). Such a planet makes great efforts to get a good result, but to some extent it is already “out of the game”. Such planets show a keen interest in the subject, but do not have sufficient strength, skill and luck to gain support and achieve the goal.
  • face for Burke (1 point) are two-point planets for Weisberg. Such a planet is concerned about its position. Domestic astrologers call this situation "enmity." It is difficult for a planet in the face position to receive support from the outside. According to the logic of the astrologer, fear and anxiety keep the planet focused on its goal, but do not give it the opportunity to achieve it.
  • planets in fall weak because they are in a position where they have no influence - like a person who finds himself penniless in a foreign country, without knowledge of the language and local customs. And in such a situation, the planets find themselves not through their own fault, but due to circumstances. Burke writes that if we cannot express the energy of a planet that is in fall, we cannot overcome difficulties by responding to its challenge, then all this will be reflected at the level of our physical body, giving rise to injuries and diseases (p. 95-96). Accordingly, if we continue to argue: we are downright obliged to unlock the potential of such planets!
  • Planet in exile viewed by the astrologer as flawed, but not necessarily weak. He writes that the exiled planets are in fact strong, but their strength is used inappropriately for the situation. As a result, this puts the planet in a very difficult position. The astrologer writes that people with planets in exile tend to be overly anxious about their manifestations in the sphere of influence of these planets and are often too awkward in expressing its energy.

It should be clarified here that according to Burke, not every planet receives its essential dignity. In this case, she is called a peregrine and has no powers, no resources, no talent. According to domestic astrologers, such a position is already outdated and any planet in the cosmogram has some kind of score, status.

Kevin Burke points out that weakened planet It's not the scariest thing in the world. It does not mean that a person will have a difficult experience associated with it. She is will not prevent a person from achieving what she has to do in life, including those areas that are under the influence of this planet. However, essential virtues are still important. Why? The astrologer writes that they help to understand how the planet seeks to express itself in a given sign and, more importantly, why it expresses itself in this way. The tasks assigned to the "flawed" planet express the most important problems that need to be solved for personal growth and life experience of a person.

Likewise, a natal chart filled with strong planets in essential virtues presents a set of tasks of its own. The more a planet can express its own nature, the more significant the experience we have gained in managing its energies and maintaining the proper course set by our horoscope and our life (p. 98).

* Fortunately, in domestic astrology, in relation to essential virtues, everything is simpler. Thanks to V. Weisberg, we have the embodiment of an idea that lay in plain sight: all seven types of positions (abode, exaltation, kinship, etc.) received their points. Above, possession and exaltation were still found, and below, exile and fall. We again have 7 options for the positions of the planets in the signs of the Zodiac, only “pointless”, weak positions fit into this scheme. And now we have a system where a planet in possession gets 6 points, in exaltation - 5 points, in debilitation - 1 point, and in detriment - 0 points.

Today I want to write about how receptions work in the natal chart.
A friend recently wrote:

About some Russian men I would like to say separately. Boys, you are so handsome, so handsome, why do you walk under the heels of your wives and girls? I was so amazed, unpleasantly amazed, how can one be so weak-tempered, soft-bodied??? The girls, almost all without exception, threw tantrums, were capricious, the men silently endured with their heads down and lisping. This is f**k. A man must be a man. And point.

The girl is hysterical and lights a cigarette a meter before the bus in which she will sit right now, the guy, lowering his head, wanders after her in silence.

The girl is naughty - you knew it, I wanted to see it toooooooo, you knew it, the whole bus is hysterical, the bus is already on its way, the man lowers his head and goes to the driver and says - open the door, we are returning.

A man carries his wife's green handbag behind his wife. Not because she is heavy or her wife is tired, but as something trained, behind her with her bag, you know, kick-ass. And my wife's face is a bitch. It's physically tiring. Such disappointment from such men is indescribable.

Arabs - those are tougher, it was very evident in their attitude towards their wives, towards children, they behaved with dignity, and they were so cute, aaaaaaah. Still, the Eastern peoples, traditional, they have certain rules. And a man does not lose his face - a man's.

Which in my free translation sounds something like: if a man shows love, respect and care for a woman, he is a sucker, causing irritation; if a man behaves harshly, putting his interests in the foreground and not paying attention to what his woman cares about, he is a real man. Arab men are role models.

And now look how the reception map shows all this psychology.

The relations of mas in the chart show the ruling planets of the 1st house = F, and the 7th house = M.
Not even like that. The idea of the owner of the natal chart about how relations between a woman and a man should be built is shown by the ruling planets Asc and Dsc, respectively.

What do we see in this case? The ruler of the 1st house of the horoscope, or the "I" principle for a girl, is Venus. Ruler of the 7th house of the horoscope, or principle "He" - Mars (Scorpio). Moreover, it is important to note that Mars does not show what kind of men fate will drive the girl. And what kind of men a girl will choose from all the variety.

Venus is in Capricorn, where Saturn rules and Mars exalts. This means that the heroine is psychologically looking for situations in which she will be under the control of a man (Mars), and at the same time she will exaggerate his qualities, attribute to him some additional characteristics that do not exist in reality (exaltation of Mars). Naturally, she will be rejected by such a relationship when a man is under the heel of a woman. This is absolutely not her, she is disgusting and such men are not men. For her, a man is the boss, the first violin, the giver of orders, the owner and everything else that falls under the concept of "management".

Now let's go from the second side. How, in her opinion, should a man treat her? This shows the position and reception of the ruler of the 7th house of the horoscope. Mars is in the sign of this chart, with Scorpio. Very strong. That is, again, the owner in his house, where he is in full control of all affairs. Mars = strength, aggression, will, action. Such men.

But, in Scorpio, Venus is in exile. That is, translating from the language of receptions, Mars in Scorpio treats the energy of Venus badly, it is alien to him, he does not understand and does not accept it. Mars in Scorpio loves only himself, and does not like either the manifestations of Venus or the manifestations of the Moon = the heroine of the horoscope is looking for such men who experience something similar to hatred and rejection towards her. Men who feel and consider themselves masters in their circle, and in this circle they consider her "an exile = it is not clear by whom, who came from nowhere and for no reason." They do not like this energy. I remind you that we are talking about a specific card, where Venus is the significator of the girl, Mars is the significator of the young people whom she chooses.

Will such a Mars show tenderness towards Venus? Of course not. Will he care for her, groom and cherish? No. Will he humiliate her? Yes. Will he show aggression towards her and indicate who is the boss in the house? Yes.

The owner of this horoscope is looking for such relationships and such men. Because other relationships, in principle, do not turn her on and do not satisfy her. Because the planets and their receptions so ordered. And that is why she considers the good attitude of men towards their women and the desire to please them, to forgive them for their tantrums, nurses, cry and others like them, as the lowest manifestations, unworthy of respect. And she considers the Arab version of relations to be the highest manifestation of the masculine principle. Which, I think, no one needs to talk about here.

That's how many interesting things can be seen in the map just by analyzing the receptions. And also aspects, and houses. Uuuuu)))
