  • An introvert can be an excellent scientist, researcher, observer, writer, or self-employed person.

The test is based on the methodology proposed by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss scientist, a classic of psychiatry and psychology. He tried to develop a classification of psychological personality types and singled out the main feature, calling it the general type of mental attitude.

The scientist believed that each person is either predominantly figurative to the outside world, or tries to protect himself from it, turning inside himself. Depending on the predominance of one or another aspiration, a person can be called an extrovert or an introvert. These characteristics are in a single measurement space, which means that the higher the indicators of one type, the lower the other.

Without a doubt, there are no pure extroverts or introverts, but each person has a certain preponderance, which ultimately determines his type.

Carl Jung understood extraversion as the direction of vital energy to the outside world, to social relations, to the practical aspects of life. An extrovert wastes his energy on the objects around him.

An introvert, according to Jung, directs energy to internal mental activity, reflection, prefers his own imagination and reflection to a collision with the outside world.

However, the scientist himself admitted that the norm is an ambivert, i.e. a person with signs of both types, balancing external and internal influences, able to control emotions and maintain interaction in society.
