The Taneyev Concert Hall was opened on November 5, 1967.

The history of the Vladimir Regional Philharmonic dates back to September 14, 1944, when the Concert and Variety Bureau (KEB) was created by order of the Regional Executive Committee. Already in 1947-1948. there are their own philharmonic groups that work in the city of Vladimir and in the region. 1968 became a new stage in the history of the Philharmonic, KEB received the status of a regional Philharmonic.

Solovyanenko, A. Eizen and many others . Unforgettable were the concerts of symphony orchestras conducted by V. Dudarova, D. Kitaenko, K. Kakhidze (from Georgia), P. Lilje (from Estonia), F. Mansurov, E. Svetlanov. Remarkable choirs from Moscow, Leningrad, Kyiv, the Baltic republics, the Volga region and Siberia performed before the Vladimirians.
