EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an emotional freedom technique. Dmitry KovalTapping active points - a method of awakening healing energy

Technique "Tapping" - instant results!

The Tapping Technique is also called the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT. This is a psychological acupressure technique that I highly recommend trying to optimize your emotional health. Many are already aware of the fact that emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing - no matter how committed you are to proper nutrition and lifestyle, you will not achieve the ideal healing of your body if emotional barriers stand in your way.

EFT is very easy to learn and will help you:
Eliminate negative emotions.
Reduce appetite.
Reduce or eliminate pain.
Develop the ability to translate what you want into reality.
Reprogram your mind for abundance and start attracting wealth.
Gain self-control and get rid of destructive habits.
Develop your intuition and become more creative at work.
Change your self-image to a more positive one and live the life you deserve.
Feel peace in your soul. This is the feeling that appears when a person begins to live in the present moment.

This ancient technique of stimulating the meridians of the body and saying affirmations will help you achieve big changes in problem areas of your life. Tapping helps to neutralize subconscious fear-based limiting beliefs quickly and effectively.

With these simple, basic instructions in place, you can start tapping your way to better health, higher self-esteem, abundance, and a more peaceful mindset right now!

Start with a more "formal" tapping protocol. It helps with most subconscious fears. And against especially stubborn fears, use additional techniques that can dig into deeper nooks of the subconscious.

These additions will allow you to achieve maximum efficiency in the application of technology by using both hemispheres of the brain and both parts of the body for a highly effective holistic approach to solving internal problems.

Tapping can be used anytime, anywhere - for quick self-programming in any area of life in which you want to achieve a breakthrough.

Emotions, Beliefs and Caches

EVERYTHING that happens to you is stored in your body (not just your brain). Tapping sequences with the other hand and in other physical positions can help uncover habitual emotional material that may be hidden behind habitual physical actions.. The bottom line is that your mental habits have their "traditional" hiding places, and if you do not use other physical actions, these hiding places can go unnoticed.

You can successfully get rid of many problems by diligently applying following instructions.

The first thing to understand is what will happen from tapping with your fingers. There are a number of acupuncture meridians at your fingertips, and when you tap with your fingers, you use not only the meridians you are tapping on, but also the ones at your fingertips. While it's important to target the correct area, you don't have to worry about hitting it perfectly since the total area is sufficient.

You can tap with either hand. Most points are on both sides of the body, so it doesn't matter which side you tap on, it doesn't matter if you switch sides while tapping. For example, you can tap under your right eye and then under your left arm.

You should use fairly firm but gentle pressure, not to the point of pain or bruising, as if you were banging on a table or checking a melon for ripeness.

You can use all four fingers, or just the first two (index and middle). Four fingers, usually used on the top of the head, collarbone, under the arm... wider areas. On sensitive areas like around the eyes, only two are traditionally used.

Tap with your fingertips, not your nails.

You can use both hands and all fingers. Using multiple fingers covers a large area and allows access to large acupuncture points.

If you choose to use both hands, I recommend slightly alternating tapping so that each hand is slightly behind the other and you are not tapping with both hands at the same time.

Tapping each point is done 5-7 times. In fact, the number is not critical and ideally should continue along the time it takes for one complete breath cycle - inhalation-exhalation.

Identify the problem you want to focus on. It could be general anxiety, or it could be a specific situation or issue that makes you feel anxious.

Consider this problem or situation. How strong are your feelings right now? Rate the level of intensity, from zero being the lowest level to ten being the highest.

The traditional EFT phrase uses the following settings:

« Even though I have ___, I deeply and completely accept myself.»
You can replace the second part of the phrase with: " I deeply and completely love and accept myself».

Examples:
Even though I have a headache, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have depression, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Although I feel anxious about my financial situation, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Although I panic when I think about ___, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have a feeling of ___, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have trouble breathing, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Create your statement. In affirmation, you must acknowledge the problem and accept yourself despite the existence of the problem. This is what is needed for an assertion to be effective.

5 step tapping method

Through her experience as a clinical hypnotherapist, Carol developed her own 5-step tapping technique for powerful, sustainable results in less time:

With her method, you can always find the sources of your fears and tap them effectively, even if you've never tapped before.

In short, The 5 step tapping method is as follows:

STEP 1 - Choose a target for EFT - an emotion, a block, a belief, or an abundance problem.

STEP 2 - Rate the degree of discomfort that this feeling, belief, or abundance problem brings on a scale of 0 to 10 (0 - no discomfort, 10 - severe discomfort), or simply describe how you feel.

STEP 3 - Continuously tap the karate point on either hand while repeating the INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT corresponding to the abundance issue at hand.

An INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT expresses a purpose and also contains an affirmation. An example of an INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT: "Even though I have blocks related to money, I fully accept myself."

STEP 4 - End each exercise with a slow, deep breath to encourage the flow of energy in your body.

For today's lesson, we'll look at how you can use this 5-step method to replace fears that work against you with beliefs that empower you!

Step by Step Tips for Beginners

Verbal commands (affirmations) are pronounced simultaneously with light tapping of the meridian points with the fingertips. Stimulation of these Chinese acupuncture points in conjunction with psychological techniques helps to get rid of blocks in thoughts and their physical manifestations.

This is an incredibly effective technique because it taps into the source of fear. Often this is enough to get rid of fear. The combination of tapping and verbal commands will relieve you of even the most persistent fears.

What fears to start with?

Many of us have fears in various areas of life: fear of rejection, fear of loneliness, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of pain, fear of poverty, etc. Where do you start?

Usually (for you personally, this may not be the case), what a person fears most is not being good enough, falling victim to failure, or being rejected.

Just pick an area of your life that you're having trouble with (finances, health, relationships, or career/purpose) and focus on that area. When you target one particular area, it teaches you not to tackle multiple problems at once. Some fears can be related to several areas at once (for example, the fear of not being good enough can manifest itself in all four areas), and by getting rid of this fear in one area, you automatically improve the situation in others.

Subsequence

First say the "headline statement" while tapping. The title statement defines the problem and contains the kernel of its solution. As you tap the karate point on each hand, say the title statement in full.
Then do the "negative tapping sequence" when the current situation is clearly described and the source of the fear is found. Starting at the eyebrow point, tap each of the 8 points in sequence. Tap each point about 7-10 times while repeating the negative reminder given for that type of problem.

tapping

With the fingers of one hand, tap on the dot karate on the other hand. The karate point is on the outside of the hand, on the opposite side of the thumb.

Repeat the affirmation out loud three times while simultaneously tapping the karate point.

Now take a deep breath!

The tapping order starts at the top and works down. This sequence is not critical, you can tap in any order. It's just easier - top to bottom.

Tap each of the points in the following sequence:

crown
Upper part of the head, in the center of the skull.

Brows
The inner edges of the eyebrows, slightly above and away from the nose.

Outer side of the eyes
Hard area between eye and temple. Tap this area carefully so as not to hit your eyes!

under the eyes
Hard area under the eyes that merges with the cheekbone; on the line under the pupil.

Under the nose
A point centered between the bottom of the nose and the top lip.

Chin
This point is directly below the previous one and is centered between the lower lip and chin.

clavicle
A point just below the protruding part of the collarbone. To find it, first place your index finger on the U-shaped notch at the top of your sternum (where men wear a tie knot). From the bottom of the U, move your index finger down towards your navel 2.5 cm, and then move left (or right) 2.5 cm. This point is called the collarbone, although it is not located on the collarbone as such.

Armpits
About 10 cm down from the armpit.

crown
And back where you started, to complete the circle - the cycle.

At the same time, it is important to focus your mind on the negative thought patterns that cause any problem in your life. You let go of negative thought patterns by becoming aware of them and realizing that they are not doing you any good, but for some time they have been a part of your life.

As you tap on each dot, repeat a simple reminder phrase of your problem, such as 'my depression' or 'my financial situation'. In this way, you are constantly "reminding" your system of the problem you are working on.

After the sequence of negative tapping, you need to tap each point of the meridian 7-10 times, while repeating different phrases for different points.

For each of the 8 points, a positive reminder is given. Starting again at the eyebrow point, tap each point about 7-10 times, each time repeating a different phrase for each of the 8 indicated tapping points.

Take another deep breath!

The exercise ends with a deep breath - to help the energy spread throughout your body. You can feel incredible relief - instantly or within a few minutes. You may feel physical discomfort for a while as emotional toxins are being flushed out of your body. You may feel delighted or sad. Whatever feelings you have, this is normal - this is the reaction of the body and mind to the use of technology.

Now that you've finished tapping, focus on your problem again. Rate the problem now, compared to a few minutes ago, on the same scale of numbers.
If your score is still higher than "2", you can take another round of tapping. Keep tapping until the anxiety goes away. You can change your settings to fix the problem for further progress.

"Even though I'm still a little _____, I deeply and completely accept myself."
“Even though I still have a bit of a headache, I deeply and completely accept myself.” And so on.
The phrase - reminder also changes - 'remaining headache'.

It doesn't matter if you believe the statement or not... just speak up. It's best to say it with feeling and insight, but the affirmation will usually get the job done even without it.

The faster method "Faster EFT" was created by Robert Smith. There are several videos with translation on YouTube, I recommend watching, and not only.

You will experience an extraordinary boost of motivation when you instantly feel the impact of tapping, and this impact will be expressed in your actions and words!

Additional tapping techniques

The Tapping Techniques below are a fun way to make changes to your routine. Some of these tips are so simple that you might be tempted to ignore them - but remember that sometimes The best solution is the simple solution!

1. Do it differently! Tap with your other hand. If you are right-handed, tap with your left hand for one day. This contributes to the integrity of the emotional material because you connect both hemispheres of the brain and both sides of the body.

Alternatively, you can perform cross tapping - tapping with both hands at the same time, but opposite sides of the body.

Experiment with fun new ways to incorporate tapping into your day. Try tapping while standing; lying down; on the run; on the side. You may notice that when you change the physical position, there is new material on the surface that you need to get rid of.

Remember, you may have to look for your hidden fears in unusual ways so as not to let their usual hiding places go unnoticed and empty these hiding places.

2. Refuse to get rid of the problem. It may sound paradoxical, but it works. All your life, your subconscious has been programmed under the influence of people important to you (and this programming has been reinforced by you). And to overcome the emotional resistance to getting rid of the programming, do a full round of the Tapping, expressing a firm resolve to let go of it (you will admit that you have refused to let go of this belief for a very long time). Then move on to getting rid of the belief.

3. Look at yourself while tapping. Tapping in front of a mirror can have interesting and effective results: you get a visual image of yourself, while the technique causes small changes in your body. You will notice changes in skin color, muscle tone, even the sparkle in your eyes. Pay attention to this - all this is a physical reflection of your inner atmosphere!

When you look at yourself in the mirror, you make a strong connection with yourself. You can smile at yourself as you do the Tapping and see how it brings about the physical changes associated with the release of fears.

4. Tap and sing. If you hum affirmations, it helps to use the right hemisphere of the brain to reinforce them more effectively.

5. Tapping with the word "Thank you"- a great way to get rid of blockages! Don't underestimate the power of a simple "thank you" in letting go of something you've been holding on to for a long time. If you can sincerely be grateful for the hardships in your life, learning from them, you can thank them and let go of the emotional burden associated with them.

6. Photo tapping: looking at old photos while tapping helps to dig into old emotions you think you might be dealing with. In particular, looking at school photos while tapping can help you discover and resolve many repressed emotions. The teenage years often form a huge amount of emotional problems and limiting beliefs.

These are just a few examples of how you can get creative with Tapping for your needs.

It's just incredible, Dmitry! I never thought my liver was related to my career. Starting to tap myself according to your method, I discovered that my character had changed, and instead of a disgruntled bore, I turned into an optimistic and full of life person. My new image was appreciated by both colleagues and superiors, my salary increased by 3.5 times. And all thanks to such a simple method!

Victor Vladimirovich, 54 years old, Novosibirsk

I was wary of all sorts of needles and other oriental medicine. But I tried this simple method. The result for my heart - satisfied!

Konstantin Nikolaevich, Vitebsk, Belarus

The possibilities of reflexology are endless!

If you are ready for self-healing and learning, then understanding the methods and possibilities of oriental reflexology is your path that never ends! I was always ready to learn! But I must admit right away that the desire to work in certain areas of reflexology arose in me because of my own long-standing ailments, cured only with the help of traditional oriental practice. I appreciated and mastered this healing practice, and now I myself have not left it for many years. The longer I practice, the more often I say that each of us should be able to influence the active zones of our body with the help of reflexology! After all, any person is able to master the techniques of acupressure (impact with fingers) and help themselves become healthy.

This book is far from my first work on reflexology. I preface each of them with important words: the one who helps people does not have a “monopoly” on the health of the patient, the one who helps people has knowledge and practical experience that can and should be transferred. In order to explain the methods of Chinese reflexology and to speak the same language with those I help, some time ago I wrote books about the treatment of the spine and joints and the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract using the Chinese practice of chiu (warming up the active zones). Then a book was published about the Korean method of su-jok - treatment with the help of active zones on the palms and feet.

The book that you are holding in your hands is dedicated to a relatively young method of treatment and diagnosis, which in America and Europe has already been called the “tapping method”. If the previous topics about the spine and digestion did not interest you (and I'm only glad about that!), then we will have to take an introductory course from the very beginning. If you are familiar with the previous books or have practiced heat therapy or acupressure techniques yourself, you can partly skip the introduction! However, do not disregard the information about Japanese and Korean acupressure. Because this book includes elements not only of Chinese medicine, but also of other Eastern practices.

It seems to me that Japanese and Korean methods of diagnosis and treatment are more suitable for us, Europeans, on a psychological basis. Chinese scrupulousness and a powerful theoretical base among young people always cause protest at first. And the Korean and Japanese approach has an element of determination: confidently, quickly, with a fighting spirit! But at the same time, the same basic concepts are involved as in ancient Chinese practice. In any case, oriental massage and its western arrangement can be your method if we get a good result. And this will inevitably happen, no matter what technique we try to start with!

The tapping method is a Western branch of Eastern therapy.

Let's make an initial assessment tapping method so you know right away what's going on!

To treat our body, oriental medicine uses special points located along the so-called energy meridians. Many people know about this by hearsay, but some of my patients at the reception say that they have encountered treatment with “needles”. Indeed, a reflexologist affects the points with various methods: acupuncture (acupuncture), heat treatment, massage, pressure with mechanical devices and even magnets! All these methods have been tested for a long time, they work great and, it would seem, do not require extension. But, firstly, modern practice does not stand still, and, secondly, its ancient base is so extensive that we are always at the beginning of the path.

So, a relatively new method of tapping energy points is based on traditional Chinese and Japanese massage, and in many respects intersects with them. Its identity lies in the emphasis on psychological component of the treatment.

The simplest tapping massages on the back of the head have been used since ancient times to excite vitality, to concentrate thinking in responsible moments among officials, pundits and schoolchildren. Our neurologists, neuropathologists, reflexologists could not ignore this method of influence, because it gives an interesting result. In the process of such a massage, it is possible to stimulate and excite our nervous system, to bring deep emotions, unwanted subconscious attitudes and programs to the surface. And not just pull them to the surface, but also demolish them, as the programmers say. That is, to ruthlessly destroy the negativity accumulated over the years, which gives painful attitudes to the whole body.

The tapping method works with any manifestation of emotional stress. With anxiety, fear, dangerous addiction, overwhelming guilt, belief that limits our success and prosperity. These results were achieved by reflexologists who work with patients with diseases that seem not directly related to stress. At first, we used reflexology as an excellent method of influencing neurological pain, allergies, immune diseases. But it turned out that massage also eliminates such a basis of immunodeficiency as stress.

How does tapping work on the body?

How does the tapping technique work?

Oriental reflexology is built on the fact that not only ill health, but also any life problem, in principle, begins at the energy level. The right impact on the energy system destroys the root of the problem. The tapping changes the neutron bonds that triggered the painful reactions or the painful type of behavior. After several sessions carried out in the desired area of our body, we get emotional freedom. And this is just an addition to general health improvement organism, which is generally aimed at reflexology.

By the way, in chronic or acute diseases, tapping can remove the emotional stress caused by the pathology within a few minutes. It is very important! It's no secret that depressing thoughts about the disease, suspiciousness, hypochondria often cause more harm to the body than the disease itself!

The ancient traditional methods of influencing the active zones of the body were physically unpleasant, since the effect was always carried out through pain. Acupuncture (acupuncture) is still associated with minor pain, although it is considered a very effective technique! But acupuncture requires special medical training, so it is not suitable for self-help.

We will use only the impact of fingers on biologically active points.

The method of tapping is convenient precisely because outside help is needed only at first, and this help is only theoretical!

The practitioner needs to find out the location of biologically active points, energy meridians. Learn to choose for work those of them that are most appropriate for a disease state or disease prevention. Knowledge of biologically important points and zones will allow us to remove the pain syndrome for a long time under any conditions, that is, to quickly provide ourselves with first aid.

However, the tapping method is focused not so much on the temporary elimination of illness or stress, but on reducing the duration of treatment and on a sustainable result!

Why is this method convenient both for busy, energetic young people and for people of advanced age, who are no longer so easy to seriously go into the intricacies of oriental therapy:

The tool for influencing the body is always with you - these are our hands.

We do not use any foreign influence on the body, injuring the skin, leading to infection, with this method.

Tapping is a great way to de-stress yourself and your loved ones.

The idea of biologically active zones at first can be very approximate. "Mistakes", the impact on the "wrong" zones will not cause any complications, but only activates "extra" energy channels. But who knows, suddenly at this moment our intuition will be above knowledge, and the body will incline us to tapping the most necessary zones! However, after the start of practice, the volume of knowledge is replenished quite quickly, and intuition receives the necessary information reinforcement. If only because the memory improves significantly thanks to reflexology!

Chapter 1
How to transfer the energy of the fingers to the body

The tapping method combines two important components: finger movement and mental accompaniment. Fingers work with energy points, and thinking is focused on liberation from problems that have arisen in the body - physical or psychological.

We can imagine how to work with our psychological clamps. Because each of us has personal experience of overcoming some spiritual problems. After all, we seriously learn this from early childhood throughout our lives. And if they had not learned anything, they would not have come to the need to develop opportunities. Reflexotherapy, of course, puts forward its own requirements for psychological attitudes, and we will follow them in the course of mastering the method.

As for the energy zones of the body, the novice practitioner knows about them only by hearsay. But this is the main subject of influence of any method of reflexology. We proceed from the fact that energy moves in the body like blood, like lymph, like gastric juice, like air in the lungs. The circulatory system is best compared to the energy system. It is easy to imagine that not a single tissue of the body will live more than an hour if it is deprived of its blood supply. So, without the movement of energy, the tissue also becomes ill and can also die.

A person is healthy as long as the continuous movement of energy in each of his energy vessels is maintained. We will call these vessels meridians. Energy in the meridians, like blood in the circulatory system, moves faster or slower, depending on the needs of the body. But as soon as the movement is stalled, the disease begins. To become healthy again, you need to understand where the energy blockage has formed and eliminate it.

Congestion or stagnation of energy can arise deep in the tissues of organs and systems, but the path to it lies through the outer points of the energy meridian. From the fingers and toes to the lungs, heart, stomach, winding trajectories of energy are laid, which must be activated through the surface points of the meridians. It is necessary to push the energy into the deep painful zone. The task of influencing the superficial points of the meridian will be assigned to our palms and fingers during the tapping session.

The tapping method restores the functions of organs and systems. Corrects even those violations that you might not have noticed. It happens that the effect of reflexology begins with regard to one, the most annoying, disease, and after treatment, “minor” problems are eliminated along the way. This is because the points we have acted upon have a multifunctional power, just like the energy meridians.

We ourselves will be able to stimulate vital energy if we learn to influence energy flows. In practice, this looks like blows and pressing on special surface points that are able to transfer the energy of touch to the epicenter of the disease.

hotspots

Points of influence in reflexology are called differently: active points, Chinese points, vital, biologically active, acupuncture (in acupuncture). Their existence on the human body and the body of animals has been known since ancient times.

Modern scientists confirm that these special zones are found from the moment of birth, although disputes about their nature never die out. In appearance, they are completely indistinguishable from other areas of the skin, quite often their location is projected onto large nerve fibers and blood vessels. In the 1960s, domestic scientists suggested that active points most often correspond to the exit points of the nerve trunks. In the region of the points, the connective tissue is loose and has a large number of receptors. Subsequently, it was proved that sensitivity is only one of the characteristic properties of cores. And another important property is a higher level of metabolism in these tiny zones.

The so-called mast cells accumulate here, which play an important role in the secretion of heparin (an anticoagulant) and histamine (a hormone responsible for the reaction to allergens, for the expansion of capillaries, and an increase in the secretion of gastric juice).

When working with energy meridians, we will tap the points belonging to these meridians sequentially, in the direction of energy movement. In Chinese therapy, each point of the meridian is quite rigidly fixed on the body. We will have to spend some time to mark the location of the combinations of points. Most often, such painstaking work is required for chronic diseases, when treatment is supposed to be long.

Tapping will be carried out with the index and middle fingers of the hand. So that the massaging hand does not get tired, does not strain and does not distract us from the intentions for recovery, it must be maximally relaxed in the wrist. When the carpal joint is relaxed, there is no clamping or tension in the palm of the hand or in the elbow joint. In fact, tapping is a good exercise for a massaging hand. In order to feel the charm of blows to the body immediately, let's do a small massage of the back of the head!

Tapping is amazingly easy to learn. Even children can quickly learn it. But to get the best results, to be able to use it effectively for yourself and those you love, you need to keep learning, learning and using it.

Here are five mistakes I see with the Emotional Freedom Technique.

Mistake #1 - Don't use it!

Okay, okay, I know it seems a little obvious… haha. But this is a serious problem, and I am sure that you have encountered it. How often have you looked back at an event, past day, or physical pain and thought, “Why didn’t I tap on that?”

I know I spent half a day with a sore neck from bad sleep before I thought, “Oh! Gotta hit her! 'And I should be Expert and Tapping Guy— how could I forget? 🙂

If you don't know what tapping can do, here's a quick list:

  • Pain relief
  • Weight loss
  • stress reduction
  • Turning off depression
  • Cleansing resentment
  • Autoimmune diseases

The reality is that this Tapping technique is relatively new to all of us. I've been using it while studying, teaching about it for the last 10 years or so. But in the previous 25 years, I didn't know about it, didn't use it, and didn't have that experience. We lived for many years without this technique, especially in childhood.

We just didn't have tapping as a part of our lives and developed a lot of habits that don't involve this technique. If you were taught how to tap as a child and were taught that it is just as important (or even more important!) than brushing your teeth. Then you will now have a different experience and other habits.

So the main reason most of us don't use EFT is because we just forget. There may also be deeper issues with not using it, such as self-sabotage, resistance, fear of change, etc. I will consider them separately in future posts. But for now, it's important to simply acknowledge that when you're not using it, it's often just because you're not thinking about it—and gently and carefully remind yourself to USE THE TAP! 🙂

Here are some tapping scripts to clear some of that resistance and those old habits. Try it now and see how it affects your week.

Karate Point: Even though I haven't tapped as much as I could, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Karate Point: Even though I could make my life easier by tapping on ____________ (fill in the blank on the topic when you didn't tap), I decided to relax and forgive myself for now.
Karate Point: Even though I'm not used to tapping to solve my problems, I decided to start using it andbecome more resourceful and don't forget to use this powerful tool!

Eyebrow Start: I didn't knock
Edge of the Eye: Why not?
Under eye: Am I sabotaging myself?
Under Nose: May be …
Chin: Or maybe I just forgot
Collarbone: Maybe I'm just not used to doing it
At hand: But I can start using it now
On the head: I'm tapping now!

Eyebrow Start: And it's great
Edge of the Eye: I choose to remember
Under eye: about tapping!
Under Nose: I choose to develop this positive habit
Chin: This can help me a lot
Collarbone: It will make my life easier
At hand: And this is the choice I want to make
On the head: I choose when I need it most.

Take a deep breath...

And let it go... Repeat a few times or focus on anything that came up during those short circles.

Okay, now...

Mistake #2 – Lacking Depth and Accuracy

I always encourage people to start with global statements because that's usually the easiest way to start and can get things going in the right direction. What do I mean by global statement? Something in common:

"Even though I'm not happy right now... I deeply and completely love and accept myself."

This statement is global because it is broad and does not focus on a detailed situation.

From there, however, after a round of tapping or two global statements, it's important to be precise.

So in this case, you can go from: "Even if I'm not happy right now..." as the first statement, to "Even though I'm not happy now because my boss was such a jerk today..."

Now you have focused on a specific event that will bring you the best results. The more specific you can be, the better. Which brings us to Mistake #3...

Mistake #3 – Not addressing all “aspects” of the problem

Gary Craig, the founder of TES, was a genius at identifying the importance of "aspects" for getting great results. What is meant by aspects? An aspect is a specific “side” of a problem.

So, in the above case of "Not happy" - we go from the general to the specific: "I'm not happy because my boss was such a jerk", to more specific "aspects".

So, here are some potential aspects in this example:

"I'm not happy because my boss yelled at me." (This is the "audible" aspect of the event)

"I don't like the way he looked at me." (This is one aspect of the experience, "visual cues")

"I felt his words hit me in the stomach." (Here, for example, "feeling of the body")

"I'm worried he'll fire me" ("Future Fear")

“It reminds me of how my father used to talk to me” (“From Childhood”)

“I have never had a good relationship with my bosses” (“Limiting Beliefs/Past Experiences”)

And we could go on and on!

Now, sometimes problems can be handled with global pushes, but the main thing about working on aspects is that you are likely to discover many more things that are going on in your life. And cleaning up that particular experience with your boss could have major implications for a bunch of other things!

For example, you start with experience with your boss. But then you say how your father spoke to you and you heal that relationship problem. After working through this, you get a new, better (and less reactive) experience with your boss.

If you take the time to do it right, it can have profound consequences that last a lifetime.

Which perfectly leads to Mistake #4…

Mistake #4 - Not Tapping Long Enough

This is a mistake that I see in MANY people. They say, "Yeah, I tried rapping about it, it didn't work." And when I ask them how long they have been tapping on this issue, they say a couple of minutes or one or two circles! This is rarely enough.

I see this in particular with physical pain. "Oh, my neck hurt so I rapped, but the pain didn't go away..."

"How long have you been doing this?"

"Two or three minutes."

🙂

1-minute miracles happen, but more often than not, it requires longer tapping.

I'm not saying you have to spend hours on this, but you really should give your tapping on this topic at least 15 minutes of continuous practice. This will help you deal with the problem.

My trick when I tap on something is to set a timer or some kind of signal and I promise I won't stop until 15 minutes. This prevents me from quickly giving up, getting distracted, etc. And finally…

Mistake #5 - Not writing down what you work with

If you are working on your own, it is very helpful to have a pen and paper (or computer) to take notes on what you want to work on or have already worked on. It is important to write down your progress on a scale of 1-10, or write down what goes up and down as you tap.

The last element may be the most important - write down other things that come up. (In the course, this is the most important point - approx. translator and TES trainer)

So, here's what it might look like. You are writing:

“I'm upset with all the bills I received in the mail today. That's a 7 on a scale of 0-10. "

You start tapping, the frustration goes down. But suddenly there is some anger. You write it.

“I’m mad at myself for not working harder this month. At 8".

You tap on it. Relief comes and turns into sadness.

“I am sad that this continues to happen to me. At 5. "

You tap on it.

You will return to the disappointment that you wrote about above. It's 1, you almost don't feel it.

Anger moved to 4. There's still something there, you tap on it further.

As you do this tapping, you are reminded of two events from your childhood.

"That time my father said I would never achieve anything."

"My mother cried because we didn't have enough money."

You record both events because you know you want to consider them separately.

It's like peeling an onion. And while it may seem complicated at first, once you understand the whole process, it's easy. And it becomes even easier when you record everything and keep track of what is happening inside.

Another nice thing about writing down everything that happens before and after tapping is that you can come back to the topic later. there is not always time and energy to tap on everything at once.

Well, here it is! Top 5 mistakes I see people make with tapping and how to solve them!

See you later…

Tapping active points is a method of awakening healing energy. With a detailed atlas Koval Dmitry

Angry, offended, annoyed, ashamed, afraid ... for a person, these feelings seem to be natural, who doesn’t have it. When negative feelings and emotions accumulate, become unexpressed, they become destructive.

If you haven't heard of the Meridian Tapping Technique, search the internet or watch an American documentary directed by Nicholas Polizzi, The Emotional Freedom Technique - A Tool for All Occasions.

This method was invented in the early 80s by an American psychologist, Dr. Roger Callaghan., and in the 90s, the American Gary Craig improved it and created the Emotional Release Technique (EFT). The main thing is that a person can apply it anywhere.

The meridian tapping technique works with any kind of emotional stress. are anxiety, fears, guilt, all kinds of addictions, limiting beliefs that prevent people from creating a successful and prosperous life, as well as physical pain and illness. Any problem that has an emotional basis can be healed with this method.

The technique of tapping meridian points is practically acupuncture, which is also based on the same meridians. Just like tapping, acupuncture achieves its effect by stimulating the energy meridians of the human body. But, unlike acupuncture, tapping does not require the use of needles! "Acupuncture without needles" is one of the important advantages of the tapping method or, as it is also called, the emotional release technique.

How will the meridian tapping method help?

  • Tapping will help you relax
  • Tapping will ease the pain
  • Tapping will reduce stress levels
  • Tapping can help break bad habits
  • Tapping will teach you how to overcome your fears and phobias
  • Tapping will remove the influence of childhood memories

Description of tapping technique

Determine as specifically as possible what worries you, scares you, saddens you, annoys you, for example, at work. And then rate the strength of your feelings and emotions on a 10-point scale. 0 means that this is not a problem for you at all, a score of 10 means that you are beside yourself. Now start tapping on the karate point on the edge of your palm and repeat only one of the phrases: “I get so tired at work. So much tension. It squeezes all the juice out of me. I feel exhausted. The stress at work binds me and worries me.

By stimulating the point, we are released, we release the negative from ourselves. If a negative feeling sits inside, an emotion, it means a block in your body. The truth is that in this case, the very pronunciation of feelings and tapping on the dots does not produce even more negativity, but rather relieves. The more clearly and specifically you define the problem in a short phrase, the better.

Now continue tapping in a circle, starting from the point at the beginning of the eyebrow, and say what you feel, moving to the next point with each new phrase.

If in the process of tapping your emotions intensify, it means that up to this point you have suppressed them in yourself, did not recognize them. So keep tapping and you will see these emotions begin to fade as you amplify.

Tapping itself is similar to how we vigorously type on the keyboard or lightly drum on the table. The points should be tapped in a circle (see the figure), while speaking aloud certain phrases and sentences. At this stage, it is very important to call a spade a spade, to turn off any censorship, to speak simply, clearly and out loud about how you feel.

If your stress or problem has settled deep in the depths of your soul, it is better to turn to specialists in the field of psychotherapy.
