In addition, the performance was held with the participation of a special guest star - Travis Scott. Thirty Seconds To Mars performed the song "Walk on Water" - the first single of the forthcoming 5th studio album. Thirty Seconds To Mars were recently nominated for an MTV European Music Award for Best Alternative Band.

Thirty Seconds To Mars is Jared Leto and Shannon Leto. They have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and every year their concerts are held to packed halls and stadiums. They have won numerous awards, including a dozen MTV awards, a Billboard music magazine award, and their record in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest tour in history. On July 4th, the group filmed a documentary film, A Day in the Life of America, with the help of 90 film crews in all 50 states. The project captures American life in one full day. A Day in the Life of America is expected to release in 2018.
Thirty Seconds To Mars AMERICA's fifth studio album was released on April 6, 2018.

Despite the clouds and chilly wind, many fans have been queuing at the Olympiyskiy since the very morning. The launch, as always, in the spirit of 30 Seconds to Mars concerts: running crowds of people, demolished fences and complete chaos. But the band's fans are not ready to go to any lengths to be closer to the stage.

This tour has a completely new stage design - with a 360-degree view, with fans taking seats around it. The fanzone and the dance floor were filled to capacity that evening.

Before the start of the show, VJ CHUCK took the stage and tried with his DJ set to set the audience to actively perceive the heroes of the occasion and dance like it was the last time. Finally, he took a selfie against the backdrop of the crowd and announced that l (L) is coming soon.

A little time passed, during which the stage was closed from all sides by an iron curtain. And then the very moment came - the lights go out, the majestic intro begins to sound Monolith, and bright flashes of light quickly flicker behind the curtain. Then it suddenly rises and forms a structure of three screens above the stage, which later became the main lighting option for it.

Unfortunately, the band does not perform at full strength - guitarist Tomo Milishevich has personal problems that do not allow him to attend concerts. Unfortunately, there is no information about his return. While Jared and Shannon play concerts without him, and the audience periodically chants during the concert: “Summer!”.

majestic intro Monolith replaced by incendiary up in the air, which set the right tone for the whole concert, and towards the end of it, Jared forced not only the audience in the fanzone, but also the photographers in the photopit to sit down. Nothing is impossible for him.

His requests that evening did not stop there. At one point, he asked for at least 500 people to sit on his shoulders, at another, he threw his hands into the air and asked to shout as loudly as possible. He knows how to properly manage the crowd. It's not for nothing that 30 Seconds to Mars is often called a cult show. Fans are ready to do what he asks. Sing well? Yes. Turn on flashlights on phones? Yes. Jump up and touch the sky? No problem. This is astonishing and inspiring. It's nice that in the middle of the performance Kings & Queens Jared stopped the song after seeing the crush in the fanzone to ask how people were feeling, and also asked to take a step back, only then starting to sing the song again.

On the Danger Night a special guest appeared on the stage, who turned out to be the host Ivan Urgant, who is an old friend of the guys. He played along with them on guitar and joked about how nice it was to be on stage with a band that he actually created. Before the start of Do or Die, Jared brought two guys from the fanzone onto the stage to help him sing the song and rock people, trying to figure out which side sang the loudest. Still on tour Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams Tour he had a tradition during this song to go out with the flag of the country in which the performance takes place. And in this she continues, so Do or Die he performed with the Russian tricolor in his hands, also circling with him and waving in different directions.

It's nice that the band hasn't forgotten about such already classic songs from past albums as incendiary Search & Destroy, militant This Is War, tender City of Angels hypnotizing Pyres Of Varanasi, and, of course, Night Of The Hunter, which, thanks to Shannon's mastery and some kind of even crazy energetic drumming, sounds very majestic. No wonder the fans affectionately nicknamed him Shanimal.

The tracks from the new disc fit very organically into the show, which is completely different from the past work of the band, but where without experiments. Great Wide Open and rider demonstrated the depth of Mr. Leto's voice, and on Walk On Water sectors jumped up from their seats and began to dance. Before you start to sing Rescue Me, the soloist began to look for the best, worst and just crazy dancers among the audience to dance with him on stage.

Does anyone in Moscow like to dance? I need the worst dancer, but also the best dancer. If you come up here, you must be crazy. Where are you? I need you to shake your butt

Such people have been found.

A pleasant joy was the presence in the setlist stay(yes, a cover of Rihanna's song), and also The Kill and Hurricane, played in a full band format, which were previously performed acoustically by one Jared. A beautiful ending was Closer to the Edge, where Leto again called the fans onto the stage to share this moment with him. During the concert, he went to Instagram several times with live broadcasts. Just like in St. Petersburg, Moscow fans could win a meeting with the group by posting materials with the tag monolith tour russia. Technology and the group are inseparable things.

I personally have been listening to the band for 5 years, and this concert has already become the ninth for me. I can say that my relationship with the group went through this long period and the stage of love, and the stage of hatred, or even all together. There was everything: joys, disappointments, travel, meeting people, a tattoo dedicated to the group, vivid emotions and unforgettable moments. No matter how tense moments happen, no matter how you feel about it, once you get to a concert, you again feel like a follower of a cult, giving your soul to music, feeling unity with everyone present in the hall.

We miss you already and look forward to seeing you again. Let's fly to Mars?
