The Teachings of Don Carlos: A Practical Application of the Works of Carlos Castaneda. The teachings of Carlos Castaneda: what is the point? Magical practices of castaneda

Carlos Castaneda is an American of Peruvian origin, his cycle “The Teachings of Don Juan” tells about the years spent as an apprentice with an old Indian who knew the Truth, the relationship between matter and spirit, the place of man in the world and his interaction with nature. Practice of Castaneda aims to teach people not to go with the flow of their lives, but to become helmsmen themselves, to directly influence the surrounding reality and ongoing events. A whole range of practices is united by the term "stalking" - these are methods that give inner strength, increase the neophyte's energy level, and clarify his consciousness. It is believed that all the followers of Castaneda are divided into two large groups: dreamers and stalkers. The sorcerers of antiquity, says the master, were masters of both methods, but modern followers seldom reach that level.

What to practice according to Castaneda to compare with the magicians of antiquity?

The goal of any technique of the American guru is to get rid of the personality, to erase one's own "I". This is best achieved with the help of "recapitulation" - a mental return to the events of the past in order to collect the energy left there. In everyday life, it is recommended to practice "controlled stupidity" - every emotion, every experience is an action of our personality, in which we are in slavery. You need to get rid of passions, but imitate them so accurately that neither others nor yourself doubt that you really experience them. First of all, writes the American herald of a new era of spiritual quest, you need to learn to be aware of yourself in dreams, this will be the first step along the Path of the Warrior. At night we do not control the matter of sleep. But this is a journey through an endless database, through embodied and potential worlds. The ancient masters, says Carlos, were able to stay in this subcosmos for as long as they saw fit, so they could even travel between worlds. For the modern layman it will be a feat to already learn to understand that he is sleeping. The next step will be to influence the fabric of the dream, the classic notorious flights of one's own free will, and a momentary change of scenery if the plot of the dream gets out of hand. To do this, falling asleep, you need to focus on your palms, try to examine them in great detail. It only sounds simple, in fact, it takes weeks for neophytes to master this elementary exercise. So, through a dream, “from the inside out” of reality, you can also influence the front side, but there are others. Ways - Castaneda talks about the third attention, turning off the internal dialogue, managing the energy of intention. What can a man achieve who has mastered the art of the old Indian? Literally, everything. He becomes omnipotent. Moreover, he claims Carlos Castaneda, practice influence on your astral body, displacement of the mysterious assemblage point, which determines our perception, and other metaphysical exercises was the norm for our ancestors. Some of the magical practices of the ancients were transformed by Don Juan and his disciples, and this is how Tensegrity arose, the art of magical passes aimed at shifting the assemblage point and holding it in a new position.

Reflections

As one of the classics ironically said, a person consists of “darling and carcass”, and the first one has always been the object of unflagging interest of philosophers, scientists and ordinary people. Firstly, the very fact of its existence is highly doubtful, because it is unprovable, and secondly, if the needs of the body are clear, then how to train and develop an abstract substance is a big question. However, there is such a need, and subconsciously everyone feels it. Otherwise, the proposed practice, Carlos Castaneda was a pioneer in its own way, but not a unique phenomenon. Writers Richard Bach, Paulo Coelho, Vadim Zeland write about the same thing. Moreover, if you pay close attention to the Eastern religions - Buddhism, Taoism, Shinto and others - it turns out that there is no secret sacred knowledge, everything was said millennia ago. They all say the same thing in different words: you are at the center of your unique universe. It is up to you to decide what it will be, and we will only give you weapons for this and teach you how to use them.

castaneda practices

Meditation is the basis in the knowledge of true knowledge. Without this practice, we communicate only with illusions and other people's knowledge and revelations.

Features of human consciousness

Consciousness as a category distinct from the psyche was singled out in the philosophical concept created by Descartes and Locke. “Consciousness is the perception of what is happening in a person in his own mind,” wrote Locke, thereby separating consciousness from the direct perception of external objects and considering it as one of the functions of the mental.

The development of psychology has raised the question of the factors that determine consciousness, the framework within which a person becomes aware of the surrounding reality. Modern psychology considers this problem in the light of the cultural-historical concept of the origin of higher mental functions (L.S. Vygotsky). The development of the psyche, according to Vygotsky, is mainly determined not by the laws of biological evolution, but by the laws of the historical development of society. Higher mental functions are formed as a result of internalization - the transformation of external means of controlling behavior (signs) into internal ones. Due to the connection and correlation of these functions, consciousness has a systemic structure. The sign (first of all, the word) mediates with its meaning the process of direct sensual internal reflection of the world. Individual consciousness is social in nature, since in the process of communication it assimilates the meanings already developed by society.

So, the individual consciousness perceives and comprehends reality to the extent that the abilities allow it, formed by the same socially and culturally conditioned reality. We perceive reality not as it really is, but through a certain prism created by upbringing and environment. This is the so-called "reality by agreement", a model of the world that exists in our minds and, generally speaking, is a distortion of reality. Any of us noticed how persistently our psyche rejects unwanted, unpleasant situations that happen to us. In the future, we either forget them, or try to interpret events in such a way that they fit into our “coordinate system”, do not frighten or upset us. This is the so-called phenomenon of "perceptual defense" or selective perception. It is expressed in the fact that people are more willing to understand and see what they would like to understand and see, and strive not to see what they consider undesirable.
Of course, such a perception of the surrounding reality imposes a number of restrictions on the mental abilities of a person. For the author, as for any creatively thinking person, it is of interest to try to go beyond the limitations of his own consciousness and thinking, to open up huge opportunities for creativity in all its diversity. One of the ways to discover and develop the hidden possibilities of the human psyche is meditation.

Meditation as a method of changing consciousness

Meditation as a method of revealing non-standard human capabilities, as a method of spiritual development and self-improvement, has been used in Eastern culture since ancient times. This work does not aim to consider the whole variety of Eastern practices; therefore, we will confine ourselves to describing the general features of meditation on the example of the Buddhist teachings of Zen. One of the meanings of the word "Zen" is meditation.
At the same time, Zen Buddhism interprets the word "Zen" as the Ultimate Absolute or Highest Reality, "which is on the other side of words." This mystical experience, which the meditator acquires, "a flash of insight beyond time and beyond the limitations of individual consciousness" (1, p. 24), is called awakening, "satori". In Zen Buddhism, there are many ways to achieve satori; we will distinguish two main approaches: the Zen of the So-Coming One and the Zen of the Patriarchs.

In the Zen of the So-Coming One, the emphasis is on achieving a one-pointed state of mind through concentration and contemplation. This type of meditation is called "meditation within the tradition." In Patriarchal Zen, the emphasis is on merging with emptiness through emptying the mind. This type of meditation is not usually found in the Buddhist sutras, so it is often referred to as meditation outside the tradition. The Zen of the Patriarchs (in this case meaning the Zen of an inspired flash of awareness of the Cosmic Reality) is transmitted from teacher to student, "from heart to heart."

Some modern researchers offer an erroneous interpretation of the teachings of Zen, as a kind of sect, where in the learning process, teachers allow themselves to beat and insult students, allegedly in order to achieve enlightenment. This interpretation was created in the process of misinterpreting koans - short instructive stories in which the basic principles of Zen teaching are allegorically explained. In fact, in order to allow the student to go beyond the ordinary consciousness, the Zen teacher deliberately tries to put the student in a non-standard situation that requires a non-standard solution. Thus the disciple achieves awakening.

In all the variety of approaches to meditation, the main characteristic features can be distinguished. The beginning of any meditation is concentration, proximity of the mind, detachment from all internal, extraneous thoughts and experiences. Starting from the focus of the mind on the object and passing through the stage of penetration into the object, the practitioner completely dissolves in it, merges with it - the object fills the space of consciousness. At this stage, the feeling of enthusiasm, satisfaction dominates, sometimes there are luminous images, unusual bodily sensations. As concentration deepens, there comes a moment when ordinary consciousness disappears, sensations and extraneous thoughts are completely dispelled. At the deepest level of meditation, the practitioner experiences a sense of rapture and bliss, the consciousness of the infinite.

Carlos Castaneda and the revival of shamanic psychotechniques

Very clearly all stages of meditation practice are described in the writings of Carlos Castaneda. In fact, his works are a diary of a researcher practicing altered states of consciousness, describing in detail and analyzing his individual experience. The main premise made by Castaneda in his works is the idea of a reality consisting of energy fields ("emanation of the Eagle"); a human being is also an energy structure interacting with the outside world (which has already been proven by modern scientific research). That which determines which emanations will be selected at a given moment of perception is called the assemblage point. The assemblage point can be defined as a property of awareness to select the appropriate emanations to ensure the simultaneous perception of all the elements that make up the world at the moment. According to Castaneda, the main goal of the practitioner of this psychotechnics is the development of the ability to consciously move the assemblage point in order to go beyond the ordinary perception of reality. Don Juan's teaching is guided by this.

The main mechanism for fixing human awareness is a special internal state, which is called internal dialogue. Internal dialogue is a mental conversation that we constantly have with ourselves, and is a direct expression of the reality perceived by each of us. Its main task is to protect the generally accepted description of reality, feeding it with its own content (thoughts) and facilitating the commission of actions that fit into this interpretation of reality. The task of the practitioner is to stop the internal dialogue. Don Juan speaks of stopping the internal dialogue as a key that opens the door between worlds, that same breakthrough from the realm of the ordinary to the depths of the subconscious. An important step for a breakthrough to the subconscious is the "erasing of personal history." Don Juan says, "All personal history must be erased in order ... to free ourselves from the limitations that other people impose on us with their thoughts."
In fact, this is a description of the practice of meditation - liberation from attitudes and images imposed from outside, seeing the world as it really is.

One of the central themes of Castaneda's books is the path to Personal Power or the path of the warrior. A warrior is in constant struggle with his own weakness and limitations, fighting against forces that hinder the growth of his knowledge and Personal Power, and these forces are generated by our personal history and external circumstances. With the help of the will, which is an emanation of one's own "I", the warrior cognizes the world and actively influences it. Don Juan calls on the warrior to "open up to the Force" and gain freedom. Freedom is the exit to another reality. Don Juan points out two ways leading to the displacement of the assemblage point:
the art of dreaming and the art of stalking. The art of stalking is applied in everyday reality; it consists in an extremely careful and competent handling of ordinary reality, while the ultimate goal of the stalker is to enter another reality. Warrior
or a stalker turns the everyday world into a battlefield, where his every act, every interaction with other people becomes part of
strategies. Don Juan says, "A warrior is conditioned to survive, and he survives by choosing the most optimal course of action."

Stalking is a strategy for managing our own behavior. Its scope is the interactions between people in everyday reality. Therefore, the stalker does not avoid social life, he plunges into it and uses it to educate the spirit, gain energy and go beyond the limited consciousness. Don Juan says: "The intention of a warrior is unshakable, his judgments are final, and no one can force him to act contrary to himself" (4, p. 569). The actions of the stalker are based on observation, and not on what he thinks, not on the opinions of other people. As a result, his perception of reality expands as the assemblage point shifts. Not-doing is the main strategy a warrior uses to enter another reality. Non-doing of one's own "I", i.e. giving up the sense of self-importance is one of the most important tasks of a warrior, since this feeling absorbs most of his energy. Because of our sense of self-importance, we learn to perceive the world in such a way that we are faced with the constant need to protect our personality (ego). Achieving Personal Power, a warrior releases a huge amount of energy, which he directs to new achievements.

One of the two main branches of the warrior's practice is controlled dreaming. Dreaming or meditation is the best way to gain the Power. Don Juan says: “A dream becomes a reality when a person acquires the ability to focus his eyes on any object. Then there is no difference between what you do when you sleep and what you do when you are awake.”
(4, p. 546). During a dream, the assemblage point shifts smoothly, it becomes mobile, while in the waking state a person forcibly fixes his assemblage point in its usual position. During meditation, the practitioner shifts his assemblage point while remaining awake, controlling and directing the shifting process.

meditation practices. Application

Stressful situations, psychosomatic illnesses, information overload, fast pace of life and environmental problems - this is not a complete list of "gifts" that modern civilization presents to a person every day. Unfortunately, the technical achievements of modern science have not contributed to the development of the spiritual component of man. The problem of human development as a thinking, spiritualized being, the problem of spiritual growth remains relevant and acquires new aspects in the light of the crisis of technocratic civilization.

Meditational psychotechniques and their components are widely used by European scientists for the treatment of mental illness, relieving neuropsychic stress, and getting out of depressive states. Regardless of the ideological background, meditation practitioners learn to control and manage themselves, their consciousness, which leads to improved memory, attention, acquire a sense of inner peace, learn relaxation, improve mental functioning, which leads to an improvement in general somatic condition. People who meditate constantly cope with stress more easily and have less conflicts. The human cardiovascular system is also affected by meditation; during meditation, the heart rate slows down, blood pressure decreases. As an integral part, meditation is included in autogenic training in its various modifications, is used in self-hypnosis and some other methods of mental self-regulation.

The dynamic meditative state is well known to professional athletes. This is a state of concentration and readiness for the upcoming competition. Usually this state is characterized as inner peace, the absence of any extraneous thoughts other than the dominant image of the goal, a feeling of calm, joyful self-confidence, in one's own strengths and capabilities against the background of a slight pleasant excitement.

Meditations are widely practiced by people studying martial arts (the author of the abstract also belongs to them). Some schools practice meditation at the beginning and end of each workout, combined with special breathing exercises. Other directions associate meditation with independent studies of the student. In the process of meditation, the practitioner learns to control his feelings, emotional and motor reactions, instantly and adequately perceive external impulses, manage his internal energy. Meditative practices are a necessary and very important stage in the development of a student, the formation of his personality and self-knowledge.

All of these effects of meditation are certainly important. But the main goal of meditation is to achieve a state of "satori" - enlightenment, insight, going beyond ordinary perception, a breakthrough into the unconscious, to the deep layers of one's being. Practitioners of meditation are constantly discovering in themselves great possibilities, both physical and mental; abilities for clairvoyance, telepathy, healing appear, a huge reserve for creativity and knowledge is released. Don Juan says: “A warrior is an impeccable hunter who hunts for power. If his hunt is successful, he may become a man of knowledge."

As applied to the creative process, this phenomenon correlates in psychology with the onset of insight, or insight. Insight is a short-term climax of the creative process, the moment the solution of the problem enters the consciousness of the creator. The author considers it possible to make an assumption based on his own observations and confirmed by the testimonies of people who have experienced this state: using meditative psychotechnics, a person can cause and control the state of creative insight, directing it in the right direction to achieve the desired result. It all depends on the readiness of consciousness to perceive and memorize images dictated by the subconscious. And of course, a sincere desire of the person himself is necessary!

In the light of the foregoing, it seems very interesting and promising practical application of meditative practices for the spiritual and physical development of a person, for the purpose of self-improvement, creativity and knowledge of the world.

The administration of the "HIGHEST SCHOOL" thanks Demenova Snezhana Anatolyevna for providing materials for the article.

Good time, my readers. For a long time I wanted to open to you the practice of "twilight look" or "vision" of Castaneda, and now it's time to do it. In his books, Carlos Castaneda describes a special perception of reality, which he calls vision, but he doesn’t really tell how to develop it. I do not use this practice now, as other, deeper forms of perception are available to me through lucid dreams.

Nevertheless, this is a basic spiritual practice that opens the first screens of illusions before the mystic and gives certain, very specific opportunities. Having skillfully mastered the practice, you will be able to show people the boundaries of transcendent reality and creatures invisible to the ordinary eye. This practice is available to any natural mystic and acquirer of spiritual knowledge.

I will describe here not only the twilight gaze or vision of Castaneda, but also all the more complex methods of use that accompany it. Since the practice existed long before Castaneda, it is more customary for me to call it “twilight gaze” and further you will understand why.

Having Maslow's pyramid of needs as the basic basis for the development of our body and mind, we get that things like seeing astral projection, emanations and energies were useless for people to get food and find shelter. Such affairs were usually entrusted to one person in the tribe, who was called a shaman and who was engaged in communication with spirits and Gods in the interests of the entire tribe. The rest of the people solved the issues of physical well-being and survival. In those distant times, each person did what he had the ability to do. A person prone to violence became a warrior or a hunter, others became fishermen or farmers, and some became shamans.

Now mysticism in society is officially considered a safe and tolerable form of insanity. Although modern mystics are not locked up in a madhouse, they are not taken seriously either. So, if earlier it was very honorable to become a shaman and the parents of such a child were proud of the qualities of this, now they will be ashamed that their son or daughter does not go to work in the office in order to buy a Mercedes in twenty years, but instead is content with only the necessary material goods, while doing weird things. Therefore, although many of us have the ability to see a special reality, it is not developed and is practically not used from birth.

The practice of "twilight gaze" is quite real and it has its drawbacks. For atheists and atheists who read my blog in order to catch me on schizophrenia, I will say right away that everything is scientifically justified for me, officially I am mentally healthy and at the end of the material I will describe to you what it looks like from the point of view of science. Now I will describe everything in order from a mystical point of view. I'll start with the formation of the most twilight look in its basic form.

I also note that it will be especially easy for mystics with poor eyesight, because they do not cling to forms and distances so much and their minds are more flexible in terms of perceiving images. I know some shamans with whom I had to cross paths, who have a real ability to show the transcendent reality to ordinary people and they all had poor eyesight. With good vision, the practice works, but at the same time, your eyes will hurt more and you will need to restore them with a special exercise.

How to practice the twilight gaze or vision of Castaneda

To master the basic skills, you will need to start with a simpler exercise called "vision of the void." To do this, sit in a spacious room or even better in a city park.

It is desirable that no one interferes with you. The ideal place would be a bench in the park, but in cold weather, you can limit yourself to a living room.

Practice does give transcendental abilities, but it will take time and diligence from you. If you want to quickly and immediately, then you are not here. It took me about two years to fully master it, and the first results were already in a month. Everyone's learning is different. There are geniuses of mysticism, whose soul in past incarnations had a lot of experience and such will master the practice quickly, and there are people with weak abilities, but with a certain diligence, such people will also master the practice well.

Sit in a comfortable position and remove the focus of vision on objects. The gaze should be directed straight ahead, slightly above the horizon. Usually we are used to focusing our eyes on certain objects, whether it is a house, a bird, a person, or a wall. Attention runs from one subject to another and the mind is always in a state of excitement. Calm your mind and focus your attention. It should cover the whole picture, without focusing on certain subjects, but at the same time, not a single detail should leave your eyes. The seeing practitioner is able to notice the smallest details and movements precisely because he is not attached to a specific object and his attention covers the whole picture.

Give this practice as much time as possible, everything is decided by experience. Ideally, you should see everything that happens not only within the radius of your vision, but beyond it. Skilled shamans in this way are able to see what is happening behind their backs, as clearly as what is happening in front of them. With the vision of emptiness one can see the energy emanations of physical reality. At first, you may have a lot of headaches due to the fact that the brain has to process more information, but it will get used to it.

When you achieve tangible results in this practice, you can proceed to the main, basic practice - the twilight look. To do this, you will need a medium or large mirror.

Sit indoors, in front of a mirror and turn on the vision of emptiness. Your image in the mirror will begin to change and in about an hour you will see your astral essence or soul. She will begin to flicker in the image of a reflection. Perhaps you will immediately see other creatures nearby, but do not be alarmed, if they wanted to harm you, then you would not wait until you see them. The inhabitants of the astral world may have the most unattractive appearance, but have sufficient intelligence to renounce violence and aggression. In fact, you are more like the aggressor here, so calm your mind and watch for changes.

The second stage of the exercise is not just to maintain the defocusing of vision, but to translate it into a big minus. With the directed effort of the eye muscles, disperse your attention as much as possible, try to increase the degree of defocusing and the duration of it each time. Your eyes may hurt, but it's not scary if you then do the necessary exercises.

You will have a twilight look after the world around is transformed into something completely different. You will see not only energy beings, but also streams of emanations. Everything becomes darker than usual, and therefore the practice is called the twilight gaze. Success can be considered the ability to hold a twilight gaze for more than 20 seconds.

If you have mastered this skill, you can congratulate yourself. This is a basic practice that opens up wide possibilities in mysticism. When using these techniques, starting with the look of emptiness, you should automatically turn off the internal dialogue. If this does not happen, read my material: it describes how to work with internal talkers.

As for eye pain, in order not to spoil your eyesight, you will have to do additional exercises. In general, it should be done in any case if you spend time at the computer. It allows you to avoid loss of vision even when working at the monitor for more than 10 hours a day.

Cut out a 1cm circle from a magazine or newspaper. You can just gently pry it off. Stick a circle at the level of your eyes on the window, after wetting it. Next, close your right eye with your hand and look at the circle with your left for 15 seconds. After that, look out the window at the farthest object that you can clearly see the same time. Try to focus on it properly to work out the eye muscles. Then close your left eye with your hand and look at the circle for 15 seconds, then look at a distant object for the same 15 seconds. Repeat the same on both eyes at the same time and continue from the very beginning the whole series 4-5 times. It is recommended to carry out the exercise after every three hours at the monitor or after the above practice. It is advisable to do it regularly, at least twice a day, and this will save your vision or even improve it.

Now I will tell you about how you can use the practice for other purposes besides seeing emanations and energy.

Paired practice of magicians for the transfer of experience and knowledge. Practice seeing the astral entity

In ancient times, when communicating with each other, magicians sometimes used the twilight gaze to convey transcendental experience in a more effective way than verbal.

To begin with, so that you understand the approximate essence of the practice, I will tell you about the technique used by especially dangerous clans of killers in Japan and China, called “ninjas” or “forest demons” in translation, in order to bring up a real beast in a person. The child was prepared for the hard work of a hired killer, not only physically, but also spiritually.

The teenager was locked in a room with a tiger, and he had to look the beast in the eyes for so long until he adopted his animal nature. Weak personalities were weeded out in a certain way, being killed by a tiger, and strong ones became really like demons and bore this title deservedly.

Paired practice of magicians does not require you to expose yourself to such dangers and moreover, only one of the two participants can be a magician. The second in this case will see the transcendent reality without preparation, which the mystic subjected himself to mastering the twilight look.

Sit in such a way that the two of you are comfortable enough to spend an hour and a half and not go anywhere. You can’t interrupt the practice, so do everything in advance, turn off mobile phones and intercoms.

Many played peepers in childhood, when you look your opponent in the eyes and you can’t blink. The winner is the one who did not blink the longest. Everything is different here and you can blink, but looking into each other's eyes without moving your eyes to other objects will take a long time, and talking is highly undesirable. Have a good talk later.

Take this practice responsibly, and if you doubt that you are able to sit for so long without turning away, then don’t start. So, you are still capable of this, then set an alarm clock for an hour and a half from the moment you start practicing and stop looking into each other's eyes.

A mystic who has mastered the twilight gaze can immediately turn on the vision of emptiness and sit like that for about thirty minutes. It's different for everyone, but your partner should stop giggling and calm down by now. When you feel that the partner approached the exercise responsibly, then after about ten minutes, change the vision of emptiness to a twilight look.

You will see the essence of the partner, and he or she will see your essence. If your partner is not a mystic, then what he sees will be a shock for him, so be understanding. His face will become frightened and serious, and this will mean that your twilight look is real.

Continue the practice from time to time, to the best of your ability, including the twilight gaze. Indeed, this method is able to show the transcendent reality to ordinary people, but they will forget about what happened pretty soon, so do not flatter yourself. Habitual templates are more valuable to them than gold and silver, do not destroy them without mutual consent. At the end of the material, I will write a scientific version of what is happening, and now the next practice.

How to get to another world. Gait of power or transition to a parallel reality

The two past practices are quite working and you can be convinced of this, but if they are relatively safe, then the next practice may bring irreparable consequences. I will give it to you, since it will not harm others, and what you will do with yourself is the personal responsibility of everyone. This practice allows you to move between worlds literally and without exaggeration. By doing it, you move to another world irrevocably. Usually these are extremely similar and almost identical worlds, but the further you dive, the more dramatic changes can come.

This practice allows you to change your personal environment to a more comfortable one. Moving deep enough into other worlds, you can get those benefits and favors of those people that are interesting to you. You can improve your financial situation and so on. The objects and faces of acquaintances may change as the practice is repeated, and this happens not infrequently with those who have mastered the practice well. It has a significant disadvantage, so I abandoned this practice as soon as I received those selfish benefits that I wanted and understood the shortcomings of the method. First I will tell the essence of the practice, and then its disadvantages.

When walking down the street or other terrain, turn on your twilight gaze with the clear intention of moving into a world where you have what you want to have. Or to a world where events have the development you need.

Create a strong intention in your mind to get what you want and turn on the twilight gaze at the same time. You should see paths between worlds. They look like glowing paths. In other words, you will see your path and numerous branches from it. From the outside, people will see that you are walking with uneven steps, turning in strange places and zigzagging like a drunkard. Turning on the twilight gaze and forming an intention, you will see the forks of the paths and one of the many lines will be especially bright. Follow it wherever it turns, even if it leads into the forest or into the gateway.

Follow the bright line and then, having a strong enough intention and having the practice of a twilight look, you will be able to move to other worlds. I think it works in such a way that you change consciousness with yourself from a parallel universe. But given that you have to go through many worlds in order for reality to change in the right direction, for you from a parallel reality, it will not be a shock when you take his place, and he takes yours. In theory, you can go so far that in the end, you will be surrounded by completely different landscapes, reaching in their resemblance to the worlds of fantasy works.

Personally, for me, the front door to the apartment has changed completely and forever. So, once, before practice, it was covered with light foam rubber, and after practice it was already upholstered with dark linoleum. Moreover, according to her brother, she was always covered with linoleum. I have met people practicing similar methods who have new fancy buildings or vacant lots in their home area. In fact, the universe is infinite and everything exists in it, including an infinite number of options for the development of events. Nothing can exist in it that the mind can imagine. So, having an infinite number of realities and probabilities, you can move between them. The practice does work, but it has a huge drawback.

First, having received the necessary benefits, you forever leave the past world and its inhabitants, becoming a wanderer. Secondly, as far as I have enough experience and understanding of the universe, it has levels. Each time, you only move down. Simply put, you fall into a world that is lower and closer to the very hell that is located at the bottom. Hell worlds also have a level structure and you can dive to the most disgusting of the worlds.

This does not mean that you will not get what you wanted, just one day you will understand that in addition to material wealth or the person you need, you are surrounded by real devils. In any hell, the soul is able to find joy, but the reality does not change from this. So, I really received certain benefits from this practice, which I did rather out of scientific curiosity, but I did not order the war, but it began, moreover, in my city, from which I now had to leave. I'm not going to dive further and I'll manage somehow with what I have. This is a theoretical argument and maybe I'm wrong, if you want you can try at your own peril and risk and then tell in the comments.

At the same time, check if there is a Temple of the Way in the worlds below, or if I went there in other ways.

Now, as promised to atheists, I will give a scientific version of what is happening during practices. Twilight gaze is probably a state of a special meditative trance in which the shaman sees strong hallucinations.

During pair practice, when the shaman shows the transcendent reality to a simple layman, some kind of unconscious hypnosis probably occurs as a result of which the naive victim sees hallucinations.

As for the transition to other worlds and changes in the faces of acquaintances and habitats, it is also likely that we are dealing with irreversible changes in the cerebral cortex caused by a deep trance. In a dream, a person often realizes himself as a completely different person and has a large supply of false memory. Given that false memory is possible in dreams, it can replace the real memory of the mystic. The shaman, who ended up in Tolkien's fantasy world as a result of practice, actually lived in it forever, but received a false memory that he lived in the industrial age of cities, machines and electronics.

I hope that this material will be useful to you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below, the same applies to other materials on the site. As for pair practice, don't even think about asking me. Yes, I can show the ultimate reality to any person, but I have been observing a vegetarian fast for a long time, I communicate with informational entities in lucid dreams, I keep myself energetically clean and I don’t want such intimacy at all, especially for money.

I have described to you the strong yet basic practices of mysticism, use them wisely.

The power of recapitulation is that it stirs up all the rubbish of a person's life and brings it to the surface.
Carlos Castaneda "The Active Side of Infinity"

Recapitulation is an effective magical practice that has as its main goal the work of purifying the individual perception of the practitioner from private identifications with the forms of manifestation of forces and energies.

Almost every serious tradition has some form of this magical practice in its arsenal of techniques, and the degree of elaboration of details is the main difference between them.

The proposed recapitulation methodology is the most adapted for integration with everyday life. It does not set as its goal the acquisition of specific superpowers obtained as a result of the practice of recapitulation, its main task is to maintain the current purity of perception with a consistent revision of the elements of the past based on the events that arise as life activity progresses. This approach is most comparable to karmic hygiene, for which an increase in the practitioner's individual magical power is a natural consequence of its presence.

For the magician, recapitulation is a way to give back to this extraordinary power what it lent to us at the moment of our birth. It is quite unbelievable, don Juan said, that this force is content with the aforementioned re-experiencing. Since the only thing she wants from us is self-awareness, then if we give it to her in the form of a recapitulation, she does not take our life in the end, but allows us to go along with it to freedom. This is how sorcerers theoretically explain recapitulation.

This is the main technique that allows stalkers to first highlight their main elements of the tonal façade. In other words, we can say that this technique allows you to understand exactly where the energy is leaking. That is, to find out exactly how you react to the world, and gives you the opportunity to control your reactions, emotions and even feelings. Through recapitulation, a person can first find the "buttons" by which others, society, and also himself (yes, yes, we ourselves often press our buttons - Pity, Importance, Fear, etc.) press him and so thus forced to react in one way or another, while losing the lion's share of the available energy. And when the buttons are found, the preconditions for their neutralization are already being created. In fact, a person is able to fundamentally change the "façade of the tonal". And for dreamers, this is the main channel for drawing energy for dreams. Why do you think some people have dreams and others don't? natural data? - nothing like that! The main reason people can't DO dreams is because they never did a REVIEW.

The technique itself was invented by ancient seers on the American continent several thousand years ago. They found that in the course of a person's life, energy fibers begin to remain in the surrounding details (both physical and emotional-psychological). And over time, it turns out that most of the fibers somewhere "stuck" in the past. Namely, they (energy fibers) are not enough to stalker (track yourself inside) or dream. But note that awareness (maha mudra) is not yet stalking, but only a prerequisite for it (this is so, by the way), just as maha mudra is not yet a Toltec dream, but only a prerequisite for it, since it is not enough to realize oneself in dreaming! Toltec also needs to take some steps.

The very essence of recapitulation is in the return to oneself of one's own luminosity (energy fibers). Then the person becomes stronger, but loses touch with the past. For some, this is scary. But this is the way of the Toltecs - to be free from everything, including the past. And fear, as you know, is the first enemy of a person of Knowledge.
To conduct a recapitulation, you need to add up a list of all the people (or all the events) that have been in your life. This takes several weeks to months. Already folding the list itself is part of the recapitulation. Begins to draw the INTENT of the Seer Toltecs. And energy is released. This is how often a person comes to the first dream.
Technically, performing a recapture is pretty straightforward. A few key details stand out: place, breath, and list.

The place should be secluded, quiet. Pre-reviews are usually performed while sitting in a cardboard or wooden box in a position with raised knees pressed to the chest. From time to time, you have to change the position of the legs, as the legs become numb, for this you can use meditative yoga asanas (sukh-asana, vajrasasna, half-lotots, lotus, guptasana). The box must have a top with ventilation - holes are cut in the top cover. Even better - generally make the top of thin wooden planks in the form of a lattice. Here is what Castaneda writes: "... that stalkers use boxes or earthen coffins to close themselves in while they are reliving, and not just revisiting, every moment of their lives. The reason why stalkers have to revisit their lives in such a detailed way is that the gift of an eagle to a man includes his consent to accept a surrogate instead of real consciousness, if this surrogate is a perfect copy.

The list should be prepared in advance, for example in a separate notebook. The people selected for recapitulation in a given session can be written out on a piece of white plastic. As you review, you erase the names from the plastic with an ordinary eraser. And the main list is stored further in the notebook, it will still be needed, since there are several circles of recapitulation. The first circle is a brief recapitulation of all the people and events associated with them. The second circle is a detailed recapitulation of all phenomena, remembering everything down to the smallest details (color, smell, taste, thoughts ...) Traditionally, a recapitulation is carried out from the present time to birth. And the third round of recapitulation is the compilation of a mosaic of a recapitulated life based on random plots, relying on the Spirit. That is, in the third round, the list is actually no longer needed. To compile the list itself, you can use the principle of dividing people into areas of activity. It’s good to grab a flashlight with you in the box, as recapitulation is often carried out at night, when all the family are sleeping :).
Breath. There are several types of breathing described by Castaneda and his cohort. But the essence is the same - with the help of breathing, we return the lost energy fibers to ourselves. We use a synthesized version of breathing from several descriptions. The first person on the list is taken. Chin on right shoulder. With a turn of the head, a breath is taken, reviving the events associated with this person. The head returns to the central position and exhalation is carried out. Then the event is remembered, and from time to time one should do "wind fanning" (c) Juan Matus: inhale - turn the head from the right shoulder to the left, exhale - turn the head from the left shoulder to the right. During inhalation, we return our energy fibers, while exhaling, we throw out strangers. When the event is reviewed (and this is according to internal sensations), we turn our heads from right to left and back WITHOUT breathing. By doing this, we cut off the remnants of the energy fibers that bind us. In addition, the process of remembering can be conveniently divided into:
remembering the details of an event, remembering people and relationships, recapitulating one's Attitude towards this event.

"... Florinda explained that the key to revising was breathing. For her, breathing was magical because it was a life-giving function. She said it was easy to revisit if you could reduce the area of excitement around the body. That was the point of the box "Then the breath will carry deeper and deeper memories. Theoretically, stalkers have to remember every feeling they've had in their lives, and that process starts with their breath..."

There is one nuance. If you do not want a break (change) in relations with any person, wait a little with his recapitulation. Our relations are based on energy exchange. And by breaking the energy balance (or imbalance :)) with a given person (husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend ...), you provoke a change in relations.

DEPRESSION AS ONE OF THE EFFECTS OF REVIEW

Recently, the technique of recapitulation has gained specific popularity (perhaps sometimes unjustified and excessive). Traditionally (ie, in accordance with the books of Castaneda), recapitulation is included in the technology of stalking, although its significance is truly universal, as evidenced, in particular, by the practice of dreamers.

Indeed, recapitulation is the stage that sooner or later everyone who counts on serious achievements in Kastanedov's discipline has to go through. The revision would rightly be called the "basic cleaning" of the tonal, which is a necessary condition for high-quality dreaming and stalking, for effective work with intention, maintaining impeccability, especially for the highest realizations of nagualism - the formation of a double and teleportation.

In this case, recapitulation is often accompanied by very dramatic effects, which everyone who wants to really get close to the nagual should know about. In particular, recapitulation can lead to depression, which should be specifically mentioned.

As a matter of fact, depression as one of the effects of recapitulation is a hot topic only because today's "Toltecs" do not quite understand the consistency and inner spirit of Don Juan's discipline. Tradition prescribes the use of recapitulation only after fully mastering the ideas of impeccability in everyday life, after mastering at least the initial skills of stopping the internal dialogue and a certain restructuring of the hierarchy of life values in the spirit of Kastanedov. This process takes time. It should be borne in mind that recapitulation is by no means intended for beginners. Nevertheless, enthusiasts of recent years often believe that initiation into Toltec magic begins precisely with Tensegrity and recapitulation. As a result, quite often the former causes psychoenergetic disorders, and recapitulation - depression and ugly personality changes.

Of course, a personal story, after careful recapitulation, does not often cause positive emotions. Subconsciously, we are always aware that our thoughts and actions are unlikely to coincide with the way that will strengthen self-esteem, i.e. will strengthen the sense of self-importance - the main defense of the ego from the aggression of the external environment. Recapitulation makes our ego helpless, it loses its internal orientation and literally freezes before the revelations of that impartial observer, which is the center of pure awareness, the assemblage point - because it does not care about feelings of guilt, shame, embarrassment, disappointment and hope. A non-egoistic, "bare" look at oneself can shock a normal person ("man of the tonal") to such an extent that the world seems like hell, and the whole previous life - a fall into the abyss, where there is neither meaning nor outcome of the struggle. It is easy to imagine the consequences such discoveries tend to lead to.

Such effects are often demonstrated by amateurish psychoanalysis. An analyst who is not gifted with due tact and intuition can literally destroy the patient by telling him the true motives of his behavior. Unfortunately, our ego is much uglier than we imagine, and our self-esteem is a more fragile entity than we would like. The collapse of these fundamental criteria of self-image for the "man of the tonal" can be an existential catastrophe. And these are not empty words, they are confirmed by personal experience of communication with beginner "Toltecs".

So, for a neophyte, recapitulation is, first of all, a source of trouble, insecurity and self-humiliation, sometimes reaching destructive proportions. Depression is the most common and far from the worst consequence of recapitulation. It can be protracted or short, deep or superficial: in any case, the results of such depression will definitely manifest themselves in the life of the subject. Such results tend to benefit only those who stubbornly follow don Juan's ideas for the rest of their lives. Otherwise, the “ego system” upset by untimely recapitulation significantly reduces the effectiveness of the individual in the implementation of the usual scenarios of self-realization of the ego in the world of the tonal. Simply put, a person becomes miserable here without gaining anything "there". It must be remembered that the fragmented use of Toltec technique often does harm than good. We often forget that ancient magic was never intended for mass use by the laity, with their tendency to choose from the whole the most convenient parts, the closest ideas, and the easiest ways to implement them. Today, a rare person is able to modify the ancient technique of self-transformation "for himself" - first try to figure out if you are capable of this. Perhaps it is in these cases that a "guru" is needed - an instructor, adviser, etc. Unfortunately, we rarely meet such specialists.

It is easy to see that the cause of depression after recapitulation is, to one degree or another, a collapse of self-esteem. It turns out that we are not as smart as we thought before, not as educated, not so friendly, not so spiritual, and so on. etc. To put it bluntly, we all look disgusting as a result of the recapitulation. If your self-esteem has not changed, be sure that this was not a recapitulation, but another self-deception. Only a true warrior in this situation is able to avoid depression.

What to do in such a crisis? Of course, the technique of recapitulation itself contains the solution of all problems. Consistent consideration of one's own experiences - without fear, without evasions, to the very end - prevents the emergence of depressive reactions or states. The trouble is that most of us, faced with the horror of Reality, shied away and freeze somewhere in the corner with a pounding heart. A glimpse of oneself causes tetanus almost literally. By trying and constantly stepping back (and this is the most common scenario of recapitulation), we create optimal conditions for depression, all-round self-abasement and despair - that is, exactly what prevents any progress on the path of self-transformation.

The exposed person is simply offended by the fact that she was put in such an awkward position. It is here that it is unexpectedly discovered that the true Self (nagual) has little in common with the person we are used to (tonal). I want to say right away that the obvious analogy with consciousness and the unconscious is inappropriate here, since it reflects only a small part of the problem - these are not just two sides of the psyche, these are precisely two PARTS OF OUR BEING, firmly connected with behavior, reactions, and most importantly - the energy tone of the whole. Resentment automatically turns into an unconscious refusal of any further activity - that is, we are dealing with one of the options for "compression of the tonal". Castaneda was absolutely right when he pointed out that the tonal is very vulnerable, shy and touchy. There is also a metaphysical explanation for this - the tonal is secondary and optional for Reality, its reverse side is well aware of this, and that is why it fights any attacks on its own existence with such unbridled and gloomy passion.

One could write a whole treatise on this subject, but the most important thing is easy to understand in this way: REVIEW DOES NOT PROVIDE THE NECESSARY PERFECTION, BUT PERFECTION GUARANTEES THE CORRECT FLOW OF THE REVIEW. This is an important point and should not be forgotten.

The author of eleven books on esotericism, Carlos Castaneda, gained tremendous popularity. Nowadays, there are numerous circles, entering which anyone can learn Tensegrity - the magical passes of Mexican shamans (of course, for a fee).

The thoughtful reader needs no explanation that most of these circles are run by people who are as well versed in the occult sciences as medieval knights in a helicopter device. All the necessary information is presented in an accessible form by Castaneda himself, and in order to practice Tensegrity, not-doing or other techniques, there is no need to look for a wise guru.

But why Tensegrity? The author's books contain a detailed description of other, no less interesting, magical practices of Castaneda, which I will try to systematize and present in this article. By the way, in order to exercise, you do not have to go to Sonora or swallow peyote balls. It is enough just to stock up on patience - without this, one cannot achieve visible success in occult development. Apparently, rapid progress will not follow either - I never managed to turn into a crow, visit a parallel world, or do anything else in the spirit of the Mexican ones. It can be a consolation that all of Castaneda's practices (for example, not doing) are interesting enough in themselves.

Erase "personal history"

What " personal history"? This is any information about you that is known to relatives or strangers. "Erasing" a personal history, according to Castaneda, should be in order to become free from other people's opinions and obsessive ideas about oneself. A person without a personal history releases enough energy for occupation occult practices, such as visiting (meeting with the unknown).

How can a modern man erase his "personal history"? In order to apply these practices of Castaneda, you do not have to tear your passport to shreds and, having retired to the desert, become a hermit monk (although you can try this option if you wish). You should start small - do something, and not tell others about the true purpose of your actions. For example, you can visit this site during business hours under the guise of negotiations with customers. But, seriously speaking, to erase your personal history means to become unpredictable and unknown.

Carlos Castaneda himself has been so successful in erasing personal history that there is practically no exact information about him. Even the date of birth of the writer remained a mystery, as well as his nationality. Such an achievement was not easy for Castaneda - for this he had to break off relations with all his friends.

Special State of Consciousness - Vision

Vision (with emphasis on the first syllable) is the direct perception of those aspects of the world that go unnoticed in the ordinary state of consciousness. Vision should not be confused with the perception of the infrared range or high-frequency sound - we are talking about comprehending completely different aspects of everyday life, which are not accessible even to the most advanced devices. In order to achieve a vision, one must stop the "internal dialogue", i.e. mental conversations with yourself. In other words, to realize the “non-doing” of this world.

It is difficult to give any recommendations for stopping the internal dialogue. Castaneda himself spent many years to accomplish this task. To do this, he used a special technique - he bent his fingers while walking and achieved defocusing of vision. You can learn more about this technique from the book "Journey to Ixtlan", but this method is not the only and not the fastest. An alternative to the technique described by Carlos Castaneda is.

The stopping of the internal dialogue, and, consequently, the achievement of the state of vision, is largely facilitated by the path of the warrior - a clear system of self-control used by Castaneda for occult development. The path of the warrior involves the erasure of personal history, the elimination of self-pity, as well as a sense of self-importance. Only the most resolute and persistent seekers of secret knowledge can perform the practices of Castaneda - the way of a warrior, stalking and others.

Is not doing something for the lazy?

It turns out sometimes not doing is much more difficult than doing something. By the term "doing" Castaneda means the process of creating an ordered world from universal chaos. According to his teaching, it is the human consciousness that forms the whole world around us, turns a tree into a tree, and a rock into a rock. The shape, color, size and other characteristics of an object - all this is the result of its "making".

What, then, is "non-doing"? The destruction of the established order and the return of chaos to its original state. The reader may wonder why this might be needed? But without destroying the familiar world, it is impossible to build a new one - in other words, go to a parallel reality. Not-doing is a very difficult practice, both to do and to realize.

You can begin to perform these practices of Castaneda as follows. To do this, you need to do meaningless work, for example, look for some thing that you do not doubt the absence of. The point of this exercise is that you are fully aware that you are doing aimless work, but you are doing it in a way that makes sense. Castaneda calls this "not doing" or "guided stupidity." The ultimate goal of this practice is the complete destruction of the familiar picture of the world.

Stalking - the practice of a real war

A truly mysterious practice, having mastered which a person acquires amazing abilities. Castaneda's teacher - don Juan Matus - could become insane at will, and then return to normal, and his own teacher - the Nagual Julian - could become an old man or a young man. The master stalker can take on any form he wishes.

From Castaneda's books, one can understand that stalking, the practice of which is somewhat similar to acting, is a difficult activity. In order to practice it, one should reincarnate into another person, and not just pretend, but become one. You can start with clothes - someone who prefers a sporty style can dress in a strict business suit, and vice versa.

The meaning of this practice of Castaneda is to feel comfortable in a new image. Over time, you should learn to change your behavior at will, but you should not engage in imitation, but feel like a different person and become one. Stalking, the practice of which not everyone can do, is not doing oneself.

Dream

This practice seems to be specially designed for those who are interested in the question And in a dream you can do occult exercises. But Castaneda did not understand astral flights as a lucid dream, but a kind of practice through which one can get into a parallel world - the reality of inorganic beings and other things. According to Castaneda himself, during one of these trips, he almost stayed in that world forever. It is impossible to call such a journey an astral flight for the reason that in some incomprehensible way inorganic entities managed to pull the physical body of Castaneda out of this world.

Where does the practice of lucid dreaming begin? Yes, it is from the realization that you are sleeping ... Castaneda recommended for these purposes to find your hands in a dream. After this task is completed, the person gains some control over what is happening, and can direct his sleep at will. Castaneda does not recommend holding your gaze on one object for a long time, otherwise it will lose its shape, and a lucid dream will be replaced by an ordinary dream.

The second stage of the practice of lucid dreaming will be the search for the essence that Castaneda called the "infiltrator". It is quite simple to determine the "scout" - it is enough to notice any awkward element that will appear in a dream. It can be anything - a flying dog, a bundle of banknotes turned into a pile of paper, in a word, something completely inconsistent with our ideas about the real world. After the infiltrator is discovered, he will begin to disappear, and you will only have to shout out your intention to follow him - into an alternate reality.
