Radial: this is what branch, what it means and where it is located. Radial: what branch is this, what does it mean and where is the Tagansko Krasnopresnenskaya line of what color

Quite often, people who live in Moscow or who have arrived in the capital for a while try to figure out the structure of the local metro. It is difficult for them to immediately understand what kind of branch it is - radial, and why it is called that.

In our article we will give answers to these questions. In addition, below will be a list of stations that are such.

Where is

Almost only in the Moscow metro you can hear the word "radial" when it comes to a specific station. The fact is that there is a Circle Line in the metropolitan subway. On the metro maps of past years, it is marked as a brown geometric circle. But besides it, there are other lines that cross it.

It is worth briefly delving into history in order to understand where these branches (radial) came from, what stations they are. First of all, in 1935 they built ("Park Kultury" - "Sokolniki"), then the construction of the Zamoskvoretskaya line began, then other branches appeared over time. By the way, even now on the metro map, as well as in modern trains with an electronic display above the doors, you can see numbers indicating the number of the line (branch). The numbering was not chosen by chance. It just means the chronological sequence of construction.

The ring line is the fifth in a row. She became, in fact, a transplant. And each station on this line has a transfer hub (neighboring stations belonging to other lines). They are the ones that are radial. Which metro line intersects with Koltsevaya will be described below.

Why "radial"

Why did they come up with such a strange term - “radial”, and why do Muscovites use this word? The fact is that it is used due to the presence of a radius at the Circle Line. That is, as mentioned earlier, this branch is a circle. And any circle always has a radius, that is, the distance from its center to any edge. And just on these edges are located interchange stations. This is where the term "radial" comes from.

For example, a passenger is traveling from Vykhino to the Taganskaya-Radialnaya station, which branch he does not know. He needs to get to Paveletskaya-Koltsevaya. And, of course, knowledgeable people will explain to him that he needs to get to the Taganka, and then go from the radial to the Ring. That is, on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, the Taganskaya station is radial.

Which stations

To make it easier to understand which stations are radial, which metro lines these are, it is worth considering their complete list, starting from the Park Kultury station on the Sokolnicheskaya line and clockwise:

  • "Park of Culture" Sokolnicheskaya;
  • "Kyiv" Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya;
  • "Kyiv" Filevskaya;
  • "Barrikadnaya" Tagansko-Kranopresnenskaya;
  • "Belorusskaya" Zamoskvoretskaya;
  • "Mendeleevskaya" Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya;
  • "Prospect Mira" Kaluga-Rizhskaya;
  • "Komsomolskaya" Sokolnicheskaya;
  • "Kurskaya" Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya;
  • "Chkalovskaya" of Lublinskaya;
  • "Taganskaya" Tagansko-Kranopresnenskaya;
  • "Marxist" Kalininskaya;
  • "Paveletskaya" by Zamoskvoretskaya;
  • "Serpukhovskaya" Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya;
  • "October" Kaluga-Rizhskaya.

Each branch has its own color code. The ring line, we repeat, from the very beginning of its existence has a brown color.

How not to get confused in transitions

It should be noted right away that the word "radial" is not officially used. The informant on the trains uses other phrases, for example, upon arrival at the Komsomolskaya station of the Circle Line, the train informant will announce: “Komsomolskaya station.” Transition to the Sokolnicheskaya line. Likewise with pointers. There is nowhere the phrase “transition to the radial line”, instead of it, for example: “Transition to the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line”.

For convenience, a color scheme is used. Muscovites who often use the subway know what color the radial branches are. For guests and people who rarely use the subway, we can make a hint.

The Moscow Metro is a fairly complex transport facility. At first, it will be very difficult for a beginner to navigate. Therefore, it is advisable to always have a diagram with you, either printed, or as an application on your smartphone.

In conclusion, I would like to point out one very common mistake. Sometimes, out of ignorance, people ask: what is "radial", what kind of branch is it? And the concept of "radial", as you have seen, refers to the fifteen stations listed above. Therefore, you need to know which one is in question.

As a result of the fall onto the rails, the passenger died at the scene from his injuries. At the moment, the identity of the victim has not been established. Investigators are yet to find out whether the accident occurred or a suicide was committed.

ON THIS TOPIC

Due to the tragic incident, the movement of trains along the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line was delayed. While the body of the deceased was taken out, a huge number of people accumulated on the platform.

Meanwhile, another tragic incident at the Vykhino station can no longer be called accidental. State of emergency at this and other stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is not the first time. website remember the loudest of them.

Three times in one funnel

On the morning of July 8, 2016, a fire broke out at the Vykhino station. First, the power cable caught fire, and then the fire spread to the surroundings. This incident caused a real transport collapse. The movement of trains between the stations "Kotelniki" and "Kuzminki" was stopped for some time. Huge queues accumulated in the underground passages, desperate passengers stormed buses and taxis.

According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by a short circuit. As a result of the incident, traffic on the purple line was partially paralyzed for several hours. This caused a stampede on the platforms and in the subway lobbies.

The metro management decided to close six stations at once. Muscovites were forced to use land transport. As a result, street traffic in several districts of the capital turned out to be paralyzed.

This fire has become one of the topics discussed on Twitter and Instagram. Passengers caught in a crush at the Vykhino, Kuzminki and Tekstilshchiki stations left outraged tweets and posted numerous photos and videos from the scene.

Some citizens have complained that the stations are packed with people, and passengers cannot even get on the subway, let alone get on the train. Reports were also published about a fight on the Vykhino platform.

“There is confusion all around, nervous people. Citizens behave inappropriately, jump under buses, fight, scream. from the scene.

On Monday, July 11, an emergency happened twice at the Vykhino station, and in both cases the cause was a malfunction of the rolling stock. True, this time the trains were delayed "only" for 17 minutes.

On the morning of July 14, on the same section of the purple line, train traffic was again suspended from 05:30 to 07:00 in the morning. This time it happened due to the short circuit of one and a half meters of electrical wiring.

Meanwhile, an emergency on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line of the Moscow metro is a common thing for passengers. So, in the winter of 2012, reports of problems in the metropolitan subway were received regularly. On the evening of February 22, due to a malfunction of the signaling system on the purple branch, another failure occurred. As a result, the trains ran at an increased interval, which caused pandemonium on the platforms.

A similar incident occurred on this branch on January 13th. There was no electricity on the route, in connection with which the metro management recommended that passengers use surface transport.

"Unfortunate" thread

In the daily work of the subway, you cannot do without sophisticated equipment. At the same time, breakdowns of equipment do not surprise the employees of the underground and are promptly eliminated. However, in the case of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, when accidents happen three times in a row for the same reason, the question arises: is there something wrong with the purple line? And when will the black bar end? And most importantly - what? So far, these questions remain unanswered.

The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is the busiest in the Moscow Metro. It "carries" up to five million passengers a day. In addition to the inhabitants of the southern end of the branch, the city of Lyubertsy, located right behind the Vykhino, comes here every morning. It is here that residents of Ramenskoye, Yegorievsk, Shatura, Ryazan change to the metro from electric trains. Also at the station "Vykhino" ends a number of bus routes from Zhulebino and Novokosino.

The city authorities have been trying to bring the situation under control for many years. Thus, in 2004, the first stage of a radical reconstruction of the entire station node was carried out. A new underground pedestrian tunnel was built, but this did not lead to an unloading of passenger traffic. The later opening of new stations in the South-Eastern direction only aggravated the situation - already overcrowded cars received new passengers.

Meanwhile, according to experts, the excessive workload of the purple line of the Moscow metro depends on many factors. One of the reasons for the series of disasters that hit the subway may be old equipment. So, some journalists are convinced that his presence in the subway is supposedly hidden. The leadership of the metropolitan subway denies these accusations.

“We don’t have old equipment on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. In the sense of tracks, arrows and other things. This is the metro! We are responsible for the safety of a large number of passengers, so we monitor every centimeter,” the press secretary of the head told Komsomolskaya Pravda Moscow Metro Andrey Kruzhalin.

"We constantly carry out checks. And every night, specialists conduct general checks and, in case of detection of even slightly inappropriate equipment, they promptly replace it with a new one"

In addition, one of the problems of the purple line is an outdated park. "Trains there (on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. - Ed.) really run old. They are almost half a century old. But we cannot upgrade the entire technopark at once. Companies simply do not have time to fulfill such a large order. Therefore, we are doing it gradually ", - added the representative of the press service.

It was reported that in 2015 the Moscow Metro signed a contract for the provision of 768 cars of a new type, the 765th series. It is noteworthy that now the newest cars in the metropolitan metro are cars of the 760th series. The management of the subway promises that the new batch will have cars with a folding passage. It will be possible to safely move along the train from the beginning to the end right during the movement.

It is expected that the new trains will be put into operation from the beginning of 2017. According to the assurances of the Moscow authorities, this will happen first of all on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line.

"Vykhino" effect

One of the most infamous stations on the Purple Line, Vykhino, is constantly in rush hour mode. Even during the day, when it would seem that most people are already at work, it is impossible to approach the entrance.

Meanwhile, according to the results of a study of passenger traffic, the Vykhino station is the busiest in the Moscow Metro. The arrangement of a convenient cross-platform transfer from suburban electric trains of the Kazan direction led to the almost complete collapse of the station during the morning rush hours.

As a result, the Vykhino station has become a real legend among transport workers and a horror story for passengers. Experts around the world cite it as a negative example in reports and scientific articles.

The term "Vykhino effect" even appeared. It refers to the situation when at the first station of the route so many people are packed into the cars that the next passengers can no longer enter the train.

Meanwhile, the "curse of the purple branch" seems to be working not only underground. In September of this year, it was reported that one of the metropolitan metro trains was fired upon on the open section of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line between the Vykhino and Lermontovsky Prospekt stations. The hooligan opened fire with a pneumatic pistol at the electric train. As a result, two window panes were broken.

A few days later, police officers at the Moscow Metro detained three suspects in Moscow, one of whom confessed to his deed. It was reported that he was a 33-year-old native of the North Caucasian Federal District. The suspect has been charged with hooliganism. He faces up to five years in prison.

The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is the seventh line of the Moscow Metro according to the number on the diagrams - a diametrical line connecting the northwestern regions of Moscow through the center with the eastern and southeastern regions. The underground line mainly includes deep and shallow sections and two ground sections. The line is indicated on the maps in purple.

The history of the line begins in May 1932 with the development of a long-term plan for the development of the metro, in which, among others, it was planned to build two diameters: Tagansko-Tversky and Rogozhsko-Krasnopresnensky. On March 21, 1933, by a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, a scheme for the development of the metro from five diametrical lines was approved. The Tagansky radius, 8.9 km long, began from Sverdlov Square and through the stations (the names of intermediate stations are conditional) Nogin Square - Yauz Gates - Taganskaya Square - Krestyanskaya Zastava - Novodubrovskaya - Simonovo to st. "Plant named after Stalin", thus, on the site from the "Nogin Square" to the "Peasant Outpost" corresponding to the modern passage of the line.

In 1934, it was decided to dock the Tagansky radius to the Dzerzhinsky one, and the routing of the Rogozhsko-Krasnopresnensky diameter was also changed. In the new version, the Krasnopresnensky radius began from st. "Butcher's Gate" and through the stations (the names of intermediate stations are again conditional) "Trubnaya Square" - "Pushkinskaya Square" - "Nikitsky Gates" - "Ploshad Vosstaniya" - "Zoo" - "Krasnaya Presnya" went to the station. "Vagankovo". Accordingly, the section from "Pushkinskaya Square" to "Krasnaya Presnya" (now - "Ulitsa 1905") also corresponded to the modern passage of the line.

Despite the early projects of the Krasnopresnensky radius, the Zhdanovsky radius project did not exist either before or after the war, until the very end of the 50s. So back in 1954, the Kalinin radius was considered as a priority construction site for the VI stage, in the fall of 1957 a long-term development plan was developed, which provided for the creation of the Krasnopresnensko-Kalinin line from Tushin to Novogireev. The same plan proposed a new radius, which was supposed to be a continuation Staroarbatsky radius from st. "Kalininskaya" to the village. Textile workers through Sharikopodshipnikovskaya st. On February 28, 1959, the USSR Council of Ministers approved the construction plan for 1959–65, which included the Kalinin radius from st. "Taganskaya" to the station. "Novogireevo" with six intermediate stations, as well as, in the form of a reserve for future construction, the Krasnopresnensky radius from the station. "Krasnopresnenskaya" to the station. "Khoroshovo" with three intermediate stations: "Zvenigorodskaya", "Magistralny proezd" and "Karamyshevo".

Design task for the radius from Taganskaya area. to the station, combined with the platform of the Ryazan direction of the Moscow Railway, was issued to Metrogiprotrans in 1960. In 1960, it was supposed to complete the radius at the station. "Veshnyaki", January 3, 1961 The Executive Committee of the Moscow Council decided to extend the radius to the next railway platform in the Ryazan direction - "Kosino". In total, 10 stations were supposed to be built on the radius, the line was routed according to the plan of 1957 through the Krestyanskaya Zastava, Sharikopodshipnikovskaya Street, 2nd Mashinostroeniya Street, Novo-Ostapovskoe Highway to the station. "Tekstilshchiki" with a transfer to the platform of the Kursk direction. From Art. "Tekstilshchiki" she walked through the area of new residential development Novye Kuzminki to the platform. Veshnyaki, where a ground station was to be built, combined with one of the platforms of electric trains. Further, the ground line went along the railway to the next station "Kosino", also ground and combined with the railway. platform, which was consistent with the new concept for the construction of underground outbound metro routes along the directions of the railways, which appeared in 1961. Art. According to this project, the deep Taganskaya was also supposed to be combined with the future station of the Kalinin radius, while the option of a two-level interchange station was considered. The remaining stations of the radius were assumed to be shallow columns made of prefabricated reinforced concrete.

As a result of working out the options, the tracing line was straightened, and the final working draft of 1961 included 6 stations: Taganskaya, Ostapovskoe Shosse, Tekstilshchiki, Kuzminskaya, Ryazanskoye Shosse and Vykhino. At the same time, the last two ground stations - "Veshnyaki" and "Kosino" - were replaced by one, located in the middle between them. The platforms of the same name in the Ryazan direction, Veshnyaki and Kosino, remained in their current form, and a new platform was erected for the transfer between the metro and electric trains.

In 1965, st. "Peasant outpost" - the future "Proletarian".

On December 12, 1966, the Zhdanovskoye electric depot was put into operation, which since August began to receive type E cars for the new line. On December 31, 1966, the Zhdanovsky radius was opened with the stations: Taganskaya, Proletarskaya, Volgogradsky Prospekt, Tekstilshchiki, Kuzminki, Ryazansky Prospekt and Zhdanovskaya. Ground station "Zhdanovskaya" became the first and only station in Moscow, which has a combined (through the platform) transfer to suburban electric trains. At first, the station performed practically only interchange functions, since the construction of residential areas oriented towards the station was just beginning at that time. The second convenient transfer to suburban electric trains was created at the station. "Textile Workers". At st. "Taganskaya" was opened a transition to the station of the same name on the Circle Line. Two stations were built on the radius - "Volgogradsky Prospekt" and "Ryazansky Prospekt" - with a narrowed platform: 8 m against the standard 10 m, but with an increased column spacing - 6 m instead of the accepted 4 m. These stations became the only stations in the Moscow Metro of such type - a harbinger of the "new centipedes" with an increased column pitch. At st. "Kuzminki" was made a reserve for a promising transfer to the station of the Big Ring.

In 1968, work began on the construction of the second radius - Krasnopresnensky.

On January 3, 1971, the Zhdanovskaya line was extended to the center from st. "Taganskaya" to the station. "Nogin Square" with the organization of a combined transfer to Kaluga line. The Ploshchad Nogina station became the terminus for both lines at once.

On December 30, 1972, the Krasnopresnensky radius was opened from st. "Barrikadnaya" to the station. Oktyabrskoye Pole with intermediate stations: Ulitsa 1905 Goda, Begovaya and Polezhaevskaya. The eighth metro line at that time was formed - Krasnopresnenskaya. At the same time, on the diagrams, the line was designated in the same purple color as Zhdanovskaya with the central section under construction. In the legend of the scheme, it was signed: Zhdanovskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya lines. Polezhaevskaya became the second station of the Moscow metro with two passenger platforms and three tracks. This configuration was chosen to ensure the operation of the future never built branch towards Mnevniki, Zhivopisnaya, Serebryany Bor and Strogino. The project name of Polezhaevskaya - Khoroshevskaya - was changed shortly before the opening due to the death of the head of the Moscow metro construction, Vasily Dementievich Polezhaev.

The Krasnopresnenskaya line was served by four-car trains TC-4 Krasnaya Presnya. To communicate with the depot, a service branch line was built, departing from the stretch "Street of 1905" - "Begovaya". There was no other connection with other metro lines.

Starting from 1974, new cars of the Ezh3 and Em-508T types began to arrive at the Zhdanovskoye TC, and E cars were transferred to other depots.

On December 17, 1975, the central section from st. "Barrikadnaya" to the station. Ploshchad Nogina with two intermediate stations: Pushkinskaya and Kuznetsky Most. At st. "Kuznetsky Most" has earned a transfer to the station. "Dzerzhinskaya" Kirovsko-Frunzenskaya line, and Art. "Pushkinskaya" until 1979 remained non-transfer, while its lobby was originally built combined into two stations. With the opening of the central section, the Zhdanovskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya lines were, according to the original plan, merged into the Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. By the time the section was launched, the entire new line began to be serviced by the Zhdanovskoye TC, and seven-car trains were put into operation.

On December 30, 1975, the section from st. "October field" to the station. "Planernaya" (since the 90s, the pronunciation standard has been adopted, fixed first in autoinformers, and later on in the diagrams - "Planernaya") with intermediate stations: "Shchukinskaya", "Tushinskaya" and "Skhodnenskaya". PM-6 Glider is put into operation. On the line between st. "Shchukinskaya" and "Tushinskaya" were built in structures without the construction of vestibules, but the station was not opened. Volokolamsk. Shchukinskaya became the 100th station of the Moscow Metro.

July 19, 1979 with the launch of the intermediate station. "Gorkovskaya" Gorkovsko-Zamoskvoretskaya Line a transfer was organized between the stations "Pushkinskaya" and "Gorkovskaya".

On September 27, 1983, the transition to the operation of eight-car trains began. Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya became the first line in the Moscow metro using eight-car trains occupying the entire length of the platform. The peak schedule provided for the passage of 40 pairs of trains per hour.

December 31, 1987 with the opening of Art. "Chekhovskaya" Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line received a transfer to Serpukhov line: a three-station interchange hub "Pushkinskaya" - "Gorkovskaya" - "Chekhovskaya" was formed.

January 13, 1989 Art. "Zhdanovskaya" was renamed "Vykhino". At the same time, the name "Vykhino" was given to the Zhdanovskoye electric depot and the platform of the Ryazan direction of the Moscow railway "Zhdanovskaya". The Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line was renamed the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. On November 5, 1990, as part of a large-scale renaming of stations, st. "Nogin Square" was named "China Town".

On July 23, 1997, a transfer was opened between the station. "Proletarian" and Art. "Peasant Outpost" Lublin line, which came into operation on December 28, 1995. There was no transfer between the stations for these one and a half years: to go from the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line to the Lyublinskaya line, it was required to leave the vestibule of st. "Proletarskaya" and go to the nearby lobby of st. "Peasant outpost" with repeated fare.

October 2, 2004 completed the reconstruction of the transfer hub at the station. "Vykhino". The platform along track II was reconstructed, while the combined transfer to electric trains was eliminated: the platform along track II stopped receiving electric trains of the Ryazan direction towards Moscow, a new platform was built for them, starting from the western end of the existing one.

In mid-2011, work began on extending the line to the east from st. "Vykhino" in the Zhulebino area.

November 9, 2013 section "Vykhino" - "Zhulebino" with the stations "Lermontovsky Prospekt" and "Zhulebino" was opened.

In December 2012, work began on the reactivation of the building built in 1974–75. between Art. "Shchukinskaya" and "Tushinskaya" stations. Volokolamskaya, which was associated with the construction of the Spartak stadium at the Tushino airfield. The station received a new name - "Spartak". Under this name, on August 27, 2014, she was commissioned.
