Before the formation of the Pedagogical Institute in 1915, a teacher's institute was opened in Krasnoyarsk, which trained teachers for city and higher primary schools. It existed until 1919. From January 1, 1934, the institute opened a correspondence sector (hereinafter referred to as the correspondence department) with departments of biology and chemistry.
