Royal names and surnames for women. Wool: what color are Maine Coons

Real princesses are known to be born to a queen mom and a king dad. This means that the parents themselves are aristocrats of the spirit and in no case should they turn into obedient servants of their daughter. If you are ready to be strict but fair, regal but gracious, and most importantly, gain strength to curb the whims and whims of your baby, then perhaps raising a princess is within your power.

And the most common case is the one in which parents just want to give their daughter a name with meaning, with the right energy and a clear message, a name that will become not only a line in the passport, but also a help in achieving goals, a strong brick of high self-esteem and faith into yourself.

Does this affect the fate and character of the girl?

It should be noted that the energy of aristocratic names is often ambivalent. On the one hand, the owner of a royal or princely name receives an invisible retinue of subjects and servants, and on the other, a great responsibility that any power bears. A strong name cannot but influence the fate and character of a girl: at first, it forces her to sit down and learn to remain a queen in any situation, and then it can prevent her from being liberated, being herself, and relaxing.

During the period of personality formation, when a teenage child is trying to find out who he really is, he will definitely turn to the origins of his name, studying, so to speak, the prototypes of his own personality. And here a person can either follow the path of imitation or the path of antagonism, but in any case, the influence of the name on the fate of the girl will be considerable.

Advantages and disadvantages

Let's try to sort through the advantages and disadvantages of choosing aristocratic name for girl.

positive impact:

  1. The nobility of sound.
  2. Refinement.
  3. The bearer of an aristocratic name receives the following competitive advantages:
    • self-confidence;
    • attractiveness to the opposite sex;
    • charm;
    • determination;
    • leadership potential.

Negative influence:

  1. Accentuation of egoism and selfishness.
  2. Excessive perfectionism.
  3. tragic subtext. The fates of monarchs are often difficult, so royal names sometimes encode not only brilliance and glory, but also great trials, hardships and suffering. As the saying goes, to whom more is given, the greater the demand.

However, these are just prerequisites. Absolutely, it’s not a fact that, having received a royal name, your princess will be domineering and selfish: a lot depends on upbringing, environment, on how exactly this name will be presented in the family. Will the parents emphasize and develop his strengths, or will they be held hostage to his overwhelming potential.

It is very important to use the energy of an aristocratic name for good: such a name is like a spell, you need to use it very, very carefully.

for the ear modern man these names sound familiar and are often not associated with the royalty theme at all. However, this is what most often called noble girls until the October Revolution in Russia.

Other foreign

In all countries, without exception, among the nobility, names are traditional, very often repeat and alternate after 1–2 generations. The exceptions are the names of the so-called new aristocrats - those who came to the royal family from outside and entrenched themselves in it. Such names can also become traditional after some time (for example, Megan or Leticia).

When choosing an aristocratic name for your daughter, it is very important to remember: it is not the name that makes the person beautiful, but the person's name. The name itself does not contain any guarantees and no predetermination, only a certain vector, which in any case needs to be developed.

Pravda.Ru 09/25/2004 at 20:34

At one of the Pravda.Ru forums, we recently drew attention to the question of a young mother who turned to everyone who could help her: “We are very happy - triplets were born: two boys and a girl! my husband and I give them royal names. In addition, they have everything in order with their patronymics: super-royal - Petrovichi! Who can answer, suggest what names our rulers had the most common?".

Frankly, we wrote to the lady almost immediately on an individual basis. But then we thought, because it will be interesting to many. The search has been significantly expanded and refined. And here's what happened in the end.

Name statistics

For 1141 years of the annalistic history of Russia, only 7 women with five names visited the heads of our state: two each Anna and Catherine, as well as Olga, Elizabeth and Sophia. So here the choice of royal names is not rich, although all these names are beautiful. In addition, with the patronymic Petrovna, God himself ordered to name her daughter Lisa.
There were much more male rulers in Russia (as they say, not by skill, but by number!) - 82 people with 32 names. Breakouts are like this.
Ivans and Dmitrys ruled us 6 times.
Alexanders, Vasily, Mikhails and Yuris (or Georges - the same spelling in the annals) were at the head of the Russian state 5 times each.
Vladimirs got power four times.
Andrey, Vsevolod, Izyaslav, Petra, Svyatoslav, Fedor and Yaroslav stayed in the royal place three times.
Twice at supreme power there were Boriss, Igors, Konstantins, Mstislavs, Nikolai, Svyatopolki and Yaropolki.
Finally, people with the names Aleksey, Vladislav, Daniil, Joseph, Leonid, Nikita, Oleg, Pavel, Rostislav, Rurik and Semyon managed to "steer" Mother Russia once.

Patronymic statistics

However, the royal name is far from always the royal patronymic. For example, in Russian history there were no princes with such patronymics as Yaropolkovich or Svyatopolkovich. Children, for example, Rostislav, Semyon and even Andrey, were not in power either. So, if you want to increase the chances of success not only for your offspring, but also for your grandchildren, approach the choice of the names of your sons with particular care. And according to our history, it turns out that the patronymic Petrovich is not very "super royal".

Yaroslav's children hold the palm among the reigning persons - 9 times they stood at the head of the Russian state. And all - Yaroslavovichi, that is, men. The one that is "Yaroslavna's cry" is not considered - she was not Grand Duchess, and, who knows, maybe that's why she cried.
Vladimirovichs, children of Ivanovs (6 Ivanoviches and one Ivanovna) and children of Alekseevs (four Alekseevichs and three Alekseevnas) occupied the highest post 7 times each.
Aleksandrovichi and Vsevolodovichi reigned 5 times.
Four times - Yurievichi (Georgievichi).
3 times each - Vasilievichi, Mikhailovichi and Fedorovichi.
2 times each - Danilovichi, Dmitrievichi, Izyaslavovichi, Ilyichi, Mstislavovichi, Olegovichi, Pavlovichi, children of Peter (Petrovich and Petrovna), Sergeevichi and Svyatoslavovichi.
There are 10 more patronymics of people who managed to stand at the helm of the Russian government, but their fate is such that we are talking about Tom will go in another note.
The patronymics of the first four rulers of Russia - Rurik, Oleg, Igor and Olga - historians could not find out.

Sacrament of the name

Is it possible with scientific point vision to somehow explain the royalty of this or that name? It turned out it was possible. No one has done this yet, but after some time, Doctor of Philology, Professor Irina Cherepanova took up this task especially for Pravda.Ru. Irina Yurievna is one of those few scientists who are engaged in a completely unusual, but extremely promising science - suggestion. Suggestive linguistics is the suggestion of certain images and actions through the word. Largely focusing on suggestive linguistics, now, in particular, election campaigns to the State Duma are being built, local authorities, of course - for the presidency of Russia. Professor Cherepanova agreed - for people with certain names, the road to the highest echelons of power is contraindicated.

Again, after a while she will be able to explain in detail some of the scientific nuances of this fact. In the meantime, based on the analysis of historical facts, we put forward our hypothesis of how the names of our rulers can affect our lives.

Numbering of kings

Why are they trying to number the reigning persons, calling the same names from century to century? Louis, Karl, Philip, Edward, Georg, Anna... Stability and continuity of power in the mere sound of a name? Isn't it strange. However, in Russia, for the 11-century history, there are only 39 names and 30 patronymics of rulers. At the same time, in those short periods of time, when the eyes were dazzled by new names and patronymics, the country was sausage with terrible force. It happened, of course, and for the good of the future it was sausage: the names of the first Russian princes - Rurik, Oleg, Olga - were never repeated again. But more often the opposite happened. For 14 years of unrest, our people had rulers with 2 new names and 2 new patronymics. For 70 years of Soviet power - 3 new names and 4 new patronymics. And almost all of them never happened again!
However, it is even worse if they are repeated. With Boris Godunov, a mess began at the beginning of the 11th century. With Boris Yeltsin - a mess at the end of the twentieth century. We didn't have any other Boriss. And, do not bring, Lord, that there are more.
What about other coincidences? Both Ilyichs in Soviet history tried to fix the life of the people again. But in the end it turned out worse than it was.

Both Sergeevich dared to agriculture: one planted corn, the other cut down vineyards. Both democratized society until they were thrown out. By the way, they are similar in their cultural level.
Both Olegovichs - Vsevolod 11 and Igor 11 - did everything possible to add hostility to the state, fragmenting the country for personal interests.
With Yaropolk 1, the process of spreading the pagan religion began, which before him was uniform among the Slavs. And from Yaropolk 11, the process of fragmentation of the country began.

It is strange that monarchs with names and patronymics uncharacteristic of Russian history to one degree or another raped the country, turning back the flow of people's lives. The worst enemy of the unification of the lands of Russians and personal enemy Yuri Dolgoruky was Grand Duke Izyaslav 111 Konstantinovich. At one time (1825), Constantine prudently abdicated. And another Konstantin (Chernenko) for some reason agreed to rule the country. And rules in a half-dead state. The most terrible ruler was Joseph Vissarionovich.

Fatal middle names

On patronymics - a separate conversation. In our history, 10 people were heads of state with patronymics, which no one wore before or after them. And here are their stats.
Antonovich (Ivan U1) - deposed and killed
Bogdanovich (False Dmitry) - overthrown and killed
Borisovich (Fyodor Godunov) - overthrown and killed
Vissarionovich (Joseph Stalin) - no comment
Davidovich (Izyaslav 111) - killed
Igorevich (Svyatoslav 1) - killed
Konstantinovich (Dmitry 111) - deposed
Leopoldovna (Anna) - deposed, died in the wilderness
Sigismundovich (Vladislav) - deposed
Ustinovich (Konstantin Chernenko) - died after a short reign
So is it worth going to power with a name that is not traditional for Russia? What awaits, for example, Vladimir Zhirinovsky? And is it not because Gennady Andreyevich Zyuganov cannot win the presidential elections in any way, because in the history of Russia there were three rulers of Andrey, but not one - Andreyevich?
There are among our politicians people with "absolutely royal" patronymic names. Do not they help them to collect the necessary part of the consonant electorate? Or maybe we, the electorate, should pay attention to Vladimirov Vladimirovich, Yuriev Mikhailovich - at least they won't screw up?!

Royal biathlon

For the sake of the experiment, we have collected the "royal all-rounders" together: those names with which people were on the throne (the first digit in brackets is the number of times), and those names that were later put in the patronymics of royal persons (the second digit in brackets). As a result, according to the number of points scored, the "places" were distributed as follows:
1. Ivan - 13 (6+7)
2. Yaroslav - 12 (3+9)
3. Vladimir - 11 (4+7)
4. Alexander - 10 (5+5)
5. Yuri - 9 (5+4)
6. Dmitry - 8 (6+2)
7-8. Vasily - 8 (5+3)
7-8. Michael - 8 (5+3)
9. Vsevolod - 8 (3+5)
10. Alexey - 8 (1+7)
11. Fedor - 6 (3+3)
12-14. Izyaslav - 5 (3+2)
12-14. Peter - - 5 (3+2)
12-14. Stanislav - 5 (3+2)
15-16. Mstislav - 4 (2+2)
15-16. Nikolay - 4 (2+2)
17-19. Boris - 3 (2+1)
17-19. Igor - 3 (2+1)
17-19. Konstantin - 3 (2+1)
20-22. Daniel - 3 (1+2)
20-22. Oleg - 3 (1+2)
20-22. Pavel - 3 (1+2)
The quality of certain rulers and the correspondence of their names to the names and characters of current politicians, of course, is up to the reader to judge.

Origin

The Bengal cat Hausi or Chausie (from the English Chausie) is a relatively new breed that was bred back in the 1970s, but it was only registered in 1995 with the international cat association TICA. And in 2003 it was officially recognized as a breed. It turned out as a result of the desire to domesticate wild cats.

This is the result of crossing an Abyssinian cat and a reed cat. The result was an animal that looks like a wild cat, but with a mild domestic disposition. The first copies were very similar to a lynx, very kind and calm.

Since it is a hybrid, the breed requires a rush of blood from a wild reed progenitor from time to time. Breeders rarely take the responsibility of breeding this breed, as the crossing itself is quite laborious. To date, to breed chausie, I use a marsh (African) lynx and an Abyssinian or Bengal cat (the latter is less common). This breed is also sometimes called Shawzi or Chausi.

Description of the breed

This breed has its own standards:

  • Strong and neat body;
  • The head is small, with a strong chin, an elongated nose and pointed cheekbones;
  • High set big ears. The ears may have black tassels, like a lynx;
  • The eyes are almond-shaped, the color is gold, amber or green;
  • The neck is short and strong;
  • The paws are thick, well developed, muscular (from ancestors), hind legs stronger and longer than the front;
  • The ideal tail length is ¾ of the body length;
  • Dense dense wool;
  • Color is allowed in four colors - black, silver ticked, grizzly, tabby (patterned or patterned).

Outwardly, the shawzi looks like a reed cat, but is inferior to it in size and weight.

Hausi bengal cat hair

She has a short and elastic coat. If it is thick and shiny, it means that the animal is healthy. It is also a protective covering, like a lynx. The colors listed above are typical for F1, F2 and F3 litters. A different color may be in those individuals in which the genes of a domestic cat predominate. But they are not allowed to exhibitions, as they are not considered purebred representatives of the breed.

There are color options that are valued more than others. For example, if a cat has a so-called “necklace” around its neck or dark spots on its ears, head and tail. Cats of the F1 generation have black spots on the tail and tassels, this is their distinguishing feature.

The nature and upbringing of the animal

As already mentioned, the cat's disposition is flexible, she is not afraid of new people, she easily makes contact, has good intelligence and mobility. They do not tolerate loneliness well, they are social creatures that often need to be stroked and played with. They love to spend time fresh air. Although the behavior of each cat depends on the pedigree.

And now more about the generations. F1 houseies, whose genes are half of wild cats, are especially valued. Thus:

F1 (A) - 50% of the blood of wild ancestors. Similar to jungle cat, can be a bit aggressive;

F2 (B) - 25%. Temperament moderate;

F3 (C) -12.5%. Soft character, size and weight as in an ordinary domestic cat;

F4 (SBT) - 7%. Calm character;

F5 (SBT) - 4%. The most socialized beings. Used for knitting with F1.

The first option is the most expensive cats. They enjoy learning and interact well with people. Thanks to strong legs, they love and know how to jump on furniture. When to teach? Typically 14-21 days after the animal enters your home. It is better to immediately accustom to the toilet (tray) and choose the filling for it, which the animal will like. When the Chausie Bengal cat gets used to the new home, she will be happy to learn new commands. Spend as much time with her as possible, and the cat will become your friend, become attached to you.

This is an active breed, Bengal Hausi runs a lot, jumps, requires attention. It is better to get such a cat where it is possible to walk it in nature, in a small house it will be uncomfortable for her. We recommend buying her toys, otherwise she will play with curtains and other interior items. The ideal option is to equip a corner in an apartment for a chausie with a multi-level house, rubber toys and other cat accessories.

A distinctive feature of the breed is the love for water, which was passed down from wild ancestors. Therefore, they do not mind taking a bath at all. But experienced breeders say that water procedures should be taken no more than 4 times a year, since Hausi wool practically does not get dirty. But you need to comb more often, at least once a week, with a soft comb. You also need to clean the ears and trim the claws from time to time. In general, the Shawzi Bengal cat is not picky about grooming.

Nutrition: what and how to feed

This is where difficulties can arise. Cats of this breed do not digest wet and dry factory food. It is also not recommended to feed them with cereals and cereals. They are predators, so they prefer meat, raw rather than boiled. Therefore, chausie food is quite expensive. You can also add dietary supplements to food, as Bengal kittens need calcium and other vitamins. What can be given:

  • bird;
  • beef;
  • A rabbit;
  • fish;
  • Quail eggs - moderately, once a week.

Royal Canin food can be given in small amounts.

Chausie health

The most healthy and enduring - F1. But they also suffer from various diseases. The most common are problems with the digestive system. They love to eat a lot and immensely, from which they suffer. In addition, their digestive organs are quite weak. Therefore, you need to feed the cat moderately, make sure that he does not overeat. The best option is often, but in small portions. Chausie also often has obesity, conjunctivitis, and joint problems. But if you properly care for the animal, then the likelihood of health problems is reduced to zero. Kittens should be vaccinated against calicivirus, rhinotracheitis, and panleukopenia at 8-9 weeks of age and repeated a month later. During the first year of life, you need to be vaccinated against rabies. Chausie live on average 12-14 years, but often longer. Sleep healthy and restful.

Breeding

This is a complex and difficult process. Therefore, breeders and breeders are not particularly willing to take on this breed, although you can make good money on it. Important point- F1 males are sterile, so they are the most expensive.

The best time for kittens to appear is spring-summer, as they love warmth. You need to feed them milk, and as long as possible. For the purity of the breed, one of the parents must be a jungle cat. Chausie F1 can be crossed with an Abyssinian or a domestic regular smooth-haired animal. Under such conditions, you get F1. Impurities of other breeds are unacceptable.

Pregnancy lasts a little over 2 months. Signs of pregnancy:

  • Weakness;
  • Nausea;
  • Lack of appetite;
  • Enlargement of the nipples;
  • Abdominal enlargement after 6-7 weeks.

For future mother you need to prepare a cardboard box 60 by 60 cm, lay it with newspapers, and not with rag bedding, so that the kittens do not suffocate. The comfortable temperature is 30 degrees, so provide heating with a stable temperature. Childbirth can last from 2 to 6 hours. Most often, from 3 to 5 kittens are born at a time.

Cost where to buy

Before buying a Bengal housei cat, we recommend that you look at photos, videos on the Internet to find out the characteristics, features of upbringing, breeding, what names / nicknames they can choose when to take them to the veterinarian, and also read Wikipedia for additional knowledge.

Origin story: where did the Abyssinians come from

The Abyssinian cat breed has its roots in ancient Egypt. Watching documentaries and art films about Egyptian pharaohs, pictures on the Internet or photos from archaeological sites in textbooks, look at the images of their sacred cats. Abyssinians were often depicted next to the pharaohs on the walls of temples. They lived more than two thousand years ago in the territory of Abyssinia, now it is known as Ethiopia.

The majestic, slender Abyssinian with a royal stance, the Abyssinian has always been held in high esteem. Only rulers and people close to them could touch the sacred animal. These rules were very strict, and if violated, they could cost a person life. You can see a deep intelligent look in modern cats of this breed, because it was passed on to them from antiquity.

The main difference between a kitten and an adult proud Abyssinian is clumsiness and fluffiness. It does not at all look like the majestic Egyptian Abyssinian, which was worshiped by the pharaohs. Growing up, they become graceful, stately cats, which we see in films, in photographs on the Internet and in textbooks about the great Egyptian rulers.

Brief description of the breed

The miniature sizes of medium-sized Abyssinian cats are distinguished by their majesty, harmony and color. Choose names (nicknames) from the list of popular ones that were relevant even in the time of the pharaohs, so that your pet feels like a true Abyssinian, who was in the attention of the pharaohs.

Color affects the cost of a kitten. An adult cat grows up to 28 cm, and cats up to 32 cm. Weight can reach from 4 to 6 kg. Once you see such a beauty, you will never confuse her with other breeds of cats. Her royal posture, look and gait catch the eye from the first minute. The photo clearly shows all the characteristics of the breed.

Features of the Abyssinians

  • Medium size, exceptional flexibility and imperial posture, the Abyssinian is not large;
  • A slender muscular body, but not coarse or fat;
  • Expressive smart look;
  • The head is blade-shaped;
  • Wide ears are located at a great distance;
  • The graceful long neck emphasizes the status;
  • Clever almond-shaped eyes are located far from one another;
  • The eyes are amber or green with eyeliner all over the lids;
  • The tail is especially thick at the base, and narrow towards the tip;
  • Paw pads narrow oval;
  • Four basic colors: wild, sorrel, fawn, blue;
  • The life expectancy of the Abyssinians is 15-20 years, and they grow up to 2.5 - 3 years;
  • Short-haired, in which all kittens are born long-haired. They are very fluffy, and adult cats have a thin, but short, thick and silky coat.

The whole truth about character, education, training

Many believe that due to their royal origin, this cat breed will not make friends with a common person. But this is a strong delusion, because they behave calmly, love the company, do not bite the owners, but still appreciate the respectful attitude towards their person.

Some are struck by the reluctance of this breed of cats to sit on the lap of the owner. The Abyssinian will be madly in love with your whole family, but she simply cannot purr for hours in her arms due to her nature. She will be happy to watch TV with you, watch moving objects and people, follow you at work or while reading.

Their energy does not allow them to sit in one place, so they climb on elevations, play and frolic, and are also easy to train. If you have any other pets in the house, you will get a great company. Abyssinian cats get along well with other animals.

Abyssinians are very accommodating, loyal and intelligent, not aggressive. Any owner will only be happy from friendship with such a pet. But, they don't really like loneliness, so try to spend more time together, even doing chores around the house.

Lovers of lazy chubby cats, this breed of cats will not work. After all, they are very smart, mobile and love the company. European Abyssinian cats have a very sweet, thin voice, like a tiny bell. Therefore, any loud purrs or “songs” of the animal will not disturb the owners. Aggression is extremely rare, it practically does not hiss.

Colors or types of Abyssinians: what Abyssinians look like

By European and US standards, beautiful Abyssinian cats come in only four colors. If cats are presented at competitions, the color of which differs from the official colors, then they will not be recognized. According to other information, there are two more species - silver and tortoiseshell, which are recognized in Europe.

  1. Ruddy is a wild animal colorway with dark brown camouflage hues, slightly mottled but not striped. This is the traditional color for Abyssinians. The tummy and all lower parts of the limbs differ in color from the rest of the color. The hair is black at the tips, and the undercoat is tinged with orange.
  2. Sorrel (sorrel) is a predominantly red color, which is several shades lighter than wild. They are now presented in several shades from chestnut to light apricot. Their nose and paw pads are pale pink. Some believe that this cat is red or chocolate.
  3. Faun - this color is also called a fawn, it is expressed in a gentle pink beige with darker chocolate markings.
  4. The blue or gray color of the seals has a smooth transition from light gray to blue throughout the body, and dark gray shades are visible on the muzzle, back and tail. Nose light pink.

Why you should get an Abyssinian

Cat lovers will appreciate her color, royal posture and smart look. These are amazing animals with a long history: a sociable, loyal, and also very talkative pet. All members of your family will surely fall in love with the Abyssinian cat as a new friend.

Traditionally, a domestic cat chooses one owner. She pleases him with special humility and love. At the same time, researchers of the breed point to the increased demands of the Abyssinians to their master. Love, balanced diet, a complex of vitamins (A, D3, E), care and attention will help to establish contact with each other. Newborn kittens develop more slowly than kittens of other breeds. Therefore, they need to buy special complementary foods: wet food, egg yolk, pureed meat, fish, vegetables, and milk porridge. Milk can only be given goat or special from pet stores.

Anyone can buy such a kitten in clubs, nurseries, on sites from direct owners.

Abyssinian cats are not picky about grooming. They eat everything the same as other thoroughbred cats. But experienced cat owners choose solid dry food to brush their teeth while eating without creating plaque, because these pets are especially sensitive. Keeping a pet will not be too expensive.

For the owners of the Abyssinians, several rules are important:

  • Water procedures are best done during molting (rarely molt);
  • Choose the best diet
  • Comb once a week with a special comb;
  • From time to time to do vaccinations and prophylaxis against helminths;
  • Maintain the condition of the claws in the norm (we recommend buying a scratching post);
  • You can only crossbreed with purebred Abyssinians.

Pregnancy and childbirth in Abyssinians follow the same principle as in other thoroughbred cats. The habits of females do not change during particularly tremulous periods.

Abyssinian cat mating

  • Mating takes place exclusively on the territory of the cat. You can only breed cats of the same breed.
  • Choose an experienced individual for a beginner so that mating will definitely take place (if you bring two inexperienced animals together, then mating may not take place at all).
  • For a successful result, it is recommended not to separate the pets for at least two days. In experienced animals, mating occurs most often on the first day, but if one of the pair is inexperienced, this "event" may be a little delayed.
  • Pregnancy in Abyssinians lasts 2 months.
  • The maternal instinct is so developed in this breed that they are able to independently feed their offspring without the outside help of their owner. Additional feeding for kittens is not necessary.
  • Childbirth takes place, like other cats. The maximum offspring is 6 kittens.
  • A pregnant female requires maximum warmth and attention during this period.

No other breed of cat looks like an Abyssinian. You may notice some similarities, but her look and posture are unique. They don’t do mating for free, because the cost of kittens is very high.

Diseases that Abyssinians can carry

Consult your veterinarian if you are not sure what to give an Abyssinian for coughs or other illnesses.

  • Older than 5 years old can suffer from amyloidosis of the kidneys.
  • Hair loss is possible with psychogenic alopecia. This disease occurs after excessive licking with behavioral disorders.
  • Progressive retinal atrophy may not have any external signs. The eyes will look healthy, but if your cat refuses to walk up stairs, climb high places, or enter a dark room, see a vet.
  • Pk-dependent anemia.

Is the Abyssinian cat allergenic or not?

There is no completely hypoallergenic breed. All breeds of cats can cause a reaction human body on wool - Abyssinians are no exception. Due to the fact that the coat of this breed of cats is very smooth, close to the body, the likelihood of allergies is minimal. If the Abyssinian is allergic to you, but you do not want to part with your pet, then spaying may reduce the reaction of the body.

How much does an Abyssinian cat cost and where to buy

The price of such graceful cats of royal blood starts from 300 dollars (this is approximately 8 thousand hryvnia / 20 thousand rubles / 113 thousand tenge). You can buy small kittens cheaper. You can find them in kennels / clubs or directly from breeders who breed pedigreed pets at home. You can read reviews about their work from clients on the official websites of institutions.

When buying a kitten, think about the purpose for which you are acquiring it. Abyssinians are very playful and love a lot of attention. If you are often absent, the cat will simply get bored. When buying it for knitting, pay attention to the documents. The price of such happiness may differ in different forums, sites from direct sellers (for example, on Avito / Avito), nurseries, exhibitions and breeders. The character, energy and other qualities of the animal will not leave anyone indifferent. Various videos on the network only confirm their mood and habits.

The sale of purebred cats is organized by breeders, clubs / shelters and individuals who breed cats at home. Mixing an American Abyssinian with a cat of a different breed can cause health problems for the animal in the future. This mixture has its drawbacks. When buying, study all the natural qualities of a cat, since mestizos (half-breeds) have several differences from purebred animals, and there are still disadvantages of mating such breeds in the future.

These animals came to us from Burma, where they lived in temples - they were considered the reincarnation of deceased monks, and they were also credited with the role of a conductor of souls to the other world. In the 1920s, two Frenchmen visited the Lao Zong Temple, where they were presented with two Burmese cats. But only one animal reached Europe, which gave birth. To this day, it is believed that all modern Burmese are descended from this pair.

But as a breed, the Burmese was only registered in 1938. In the early 1930s, felinologist Joseph Cheeseman Thomson crossed Burmese with Black Siamese in the United States. As a result, a beautiful exotic cat with a smooth coat and amber-colored eyes appeared. And in 1938 it was officially recognized as a breed.

And this is despite the genes of a rather aggressive Siamese cat. They get along well with children and other cats, but it is better to hide a small domestic rodent or a parrot from a Burmese cat - hunting instincts can play. The breed is very inquisitive, so remove everything from tables and window sills that can be hooked and broken. A Burmese should have a lot of toys - she loves this business. This is a rather bold animal: it is not afraid of strangers, other animals, sharp and loud sounds, so make sure that the Burmese cat does not jump out of an open window, becoming interested in something.

The history of the origin of the breed

It is believed that the Maine Coon's homeland is the state of Maine in the northeastern United States. It was its harsh climate and nature that shaped the appearance of this cat. There are other versions, but this one is the most plausible. It is known that the Maine raccoon cat (as the Maine Coon is also called) appeared about a century and a half ago in the north of the United States. Allegedly, among her progenitors is a raccoon, as indicated by a long striped tail, or a lynx, as indicated by tassels on the ears. But scientists have debunked this myth because of the species differences of animals.

However, it is known for sure that the American natives Maine Coons live in nature, this is their natural habitat. Therefore, they are large, strong and physically hardy. For a long time, this "raccoon" cat lived on farms in the North of America, catching mice, rats, and first announced itself to the public in 1861. It is believed that it was a Maine Coon named Captain Jenks of the Sea Cavalry, who was then shown at an exhibition in Boston and New York. The breed standard was approved only in 1967, and by the early 1990s it was a real cat hit - everyone wanted to have a Maine Coon kitten!

He has one interesting feature - in order to see better, the Maine Coon rises on his hind legs. The cat is not aggressive, but treats strangers with suspicion. The American "cat raccoon" loves to be outdoors, so it is sometimes difficult to pick it up from a walk or keep it in the house. Moreover, they, catching the intonation, understand what the owner is talking about. They have a good memory. Adult cats and cats behave somewhat imposingly and lazily, while kids, on the contrary, kittens run and frolic. Another interesting point: Maine Coons are not afraid of water, they swim with pleasure, take a bath, and before the procedure they like to scoop and disperse water with their paws.

This is not to say that these animals need increased attention, but they get bored and lonely very quickly when no one is at home.

How to care

Caring for the Maine Coon is, to a large extent, giving him enough space in the house - the animal is long, so it requires space. Especially these cats love beds with cotton wool or other soft material.

He needs a high scratching post, a tray and a filler for it. Toys - soft bones, mice, balls, but without small elements so that the Maine Coon does not suffocate by eating them. He prefers glass, steel or ceramic bowls for food, and as spacious as possible.

Walk the kitty more often, this semi-wild cat loves the air, so it takes root well in summer cottages, in the countryside, where you can walk for a long time, it grows well there. If you live in the city, then the Maine Coon needs to be taught to a leash and a collar. He takes them quite calmly. To walk in the city you need to get vaccinated and vaccinated.

Hair care is a separate issue. It needs to be combed 2 or 3 times in 1 week. But when the animal sheds, then you have to do it daily. Bathing - only with shampoo for long-haired cats, such are sold in pet supplies. Water procedures 4 or 5 times a year. Ears, eyes and teeth should be wiped with damp cotton swabs as they get dirty.

Nutrition: what to eat

The Maine Coon eats both homemade and industrial food equally. From industrial it is better to give preference to premium feed Whiskas (Whiskas) or Royal Canin (Royal Canin), where the meat is at least 50%, it can be both dry and wet food.

It is useful for Maine Coons to give cereals (buckwheat or rice), bran, cottage cheese, curdled milk, fat-free sour cream. Be sure the cat should have clean water, make sure the bowl for it is clean.

Health problems: what are sick

This breed does not differ in poor health, however, such diseases can occur:

  • Muscular atrophy;
  • Dysplasia;
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy;
  • Cystitis.

To prevent these diseases, the male must be examined before mating. When buying an animal, ask the breeder for certificates of vaccinations, vaccinations of him and his parents. Your pet's illness may be indicated by a lack of appetite, weight loss.

Mating and pregnancy

Mating is best done after the third estrus, at the age of 1 or 1.5 years, with a healthy and strong male. The cat and the cat should stay together for a few days. As soon as pregnancy occurs, the girl will become calm and sleepy. Pregnancy is easy, but it is quite long - 9 weeks, or more than 2 months. Contractions can last from 12 to 24 hours. During pregnancy, the cat requires calcium, at this time it should not be taken to exhibitions and subjected to other stresses. You are obliged at this stage to provide her with care, care and quality nutrition.

The Persian cat breed belongs to the long-haired, and today it is one of the most recognizable and popular pets in the world. Some call her the most glamorous in the entire cat world, and there is some truth in this - she is very beautiful, well-groomed, she has a proud look. Children love the Persian cat, so many parents opt for this breed. It is pleasant to play with her, she treats people well, and interacts with children with pleasure. In this article we will tell you everything about this animal, the nuances of its upbringing and much more. We hope that the material will be useful to you! For clarity, we offer high-quality photos and videos.

History of the breed

This cat comes from Persia, present-day Iran, and this breed is already about 400 years old - the first mention of it appeared in 1626, when the Italian traveler Pietro della Valle visited Asia. It was he who brought her to Italy. True, those Persians were somewhat different in appearance from modern ones.

The second mention of this breed dates back to the middle of the 18th century, when a French naturalist Georges-Louis Leclerc brought several cats from Persia, Afghanistan and Turkey. True, they were somewhat different from those brought by Valle, and were similar to the Turkish Angora. And in the 19th century, selection work began with these cats in Foggy Albion, in order to somewhat change their appearance. At exhibitions, they continued to be combined with Asian, Oriental species, and only in 1887 it was declared a separate breed. At the same time, the Persian cat came to the United States, where they began to make various hybrids. Which, in general, did not have a very good effect on the characteristics of the breed.

What are the Persians: a description of the breed

There are two types of Persian cats:

  1. White - the coat is long, the undercoat is thick and soft. The eyes are round, large in size, can be of the following colors: dark blue, dark orange. There are two eyes different color. The color of six is pure white, young individuals may have black, blue, red, cream spots on their heads, but they disappear with age.
  2. Black - Crow-colored coat, no gray or white hairs. The disadvantage is a brown tint. The nose and paw pads are black or gray-black, the eyes are copper, dark orange.

There are more than 100 varieties of Persian, among them there are cats of such colors: black, white, gray, blue, red, cream, red, lilac, chinchilla, tortoiseshell, chocolate.

Depending on the nose, cats are also divided into the following internal types:

  1. With an upturned little nose - extreme (mainly the USA, type from California).
  2. With a slightly long nose - classic (mainly Europe).

In general, the breed is characterized by a round head with a broad skull, small ears, a flattened nose, full cheeks, and a curly tail. The body is slender, fairly strong, the weight of an adult varies from 2.3 to 6.8 kg, life expectancy is 10-15 years.

Character

These animals very well feel the mood of the owner, and if you have it bad, then the Persian will definitely try to somehow cheer you up. This is a decorative breed, it cannot live in the wild, it loves the house and its owners very much. Even more - they can not live without communication with a person.

The Persian cat is peaceful and adapts well to large families, loves children. She is not aggressive at all, never scratches or bites, even if she is uncomfortable. In the worst case, the cat will simply run away, but will return very quickly, since he is not vindictive. It may seem to some that this breed is slightly passive in comparison with others, but in fact the Persians do not have the habit of spoiling furniture, decor, and behave very cultured.

This is perhaps the most difficult moment - that is, that is. The coat of the Persian cat is long, and this is the main concern of the owners. To make it always look irresistible and not leave hair behind, you need to get a little confused. So, you need to bathe the Persian at least 2 times a week, using a special shampoo. If the animal suffers from heat in the summer, then you can trim the hair slightly on the body, but not on the tail. It also needs to be powdered with talcum powder, combed out almost every other day.

These animals often have watery eyes, so they need to be wiped fairly regularly. The nails need to be trimmed, and the teeth sharpened and cleaned, giving the cat solid dry food. He will not resist the procedures, as he himself enjoys it.

To care for a Persian cat, it is advisable for you to have different combs in the house, with rare and frequent teeth, brushes with natural and metal bristles, a grooming glove, a toothbrush, a rubber brush.

Food: what to feed

Since Persian cats do not have a very strong digestive tract, their nutrition should be taken responsibly. What not to give your pet:

  • Fatty meat and poultry (pork, lamb, duck, goose);
  • Any bones;
  • River and sea fish (or very rarely);
  • Yeast flour products;
  • Salty, sweet, spicy, fatty, fried, smoked;
  • Carbonated drinks, alcohol.

Natural nutrition should be based on meat. It should be at least 60% in the diet. It is best to give lean veal, turkey, rabbit, chicken, lamb. Before serving, meat must be boiled, frozen or baked in the oven. Fish - no more than 1 time per week and best boiled. 30% of the diet is vegetables (zucchini, carrots, cabbage, lettuce, greens). The rest is cereals (rice, eggs, buckwheat) and fermented milk fat-free products (kefir, cottage cheese, yogurt).

You can feed industrial feed, dry and wet, but only premium. For example, the line of feed Royal Canin (Royal Canin) or Whiskas (Whiskas), with a meat content of at least 40%. They contain enough vitamins and minerals to make your pet feel good.

Health, diseases

Persian cats are prone to chronic diseases, among them the most common are polycystic kidney disease, progressive retinal atrophy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, bladder stones, cystitis, liver disease. In order not to buy a sick cat, before purchasing, read the pedigree, certificates of vaccination, vaccinations. A flat muzzle can create breathing problems - the kitten may snore slightly. You should also monitor the health of the teeth, which can form plaque, tartar, gingivitis, periodontitis, which leads to tooth loss.

Pregnancy and childbirth

The Persian cat's gestation period lasts 63-66 days, but sometimes less, especially if a large number of kittens. The owner needs to take care of the pregnant girl, but without undue attention - the cat herself knows what to do. If childbirth has not occurred within 68 days after mating, then you need to contact your veterinarian.

Signs of a pregnant cat:

  • Decreased activity;
  • Weakness sutra;
  • Nausea.

These symptoms last for the first 10 days after pregnancy and disappear with time. After that, the character may change, become more affectionate or aggressive.

General information about the breed

The name of the toyger breed is translated from English as "toy tiger". For the first time this unique breed became known in the USA in the early 90s, when a local breeder had an idea - to bring the tabby cat color as close as possible to the brindle one. This cat was bred by crossing an ordinary domestic shorthair cat and a huge Bengal cat. Only 15 years later, thanks to numerous breeding improvements, the toyger was officially recognized. Thus, this breed of cats has acquired the following characteristics:

1) The muzzle of the pet looks like an inverted heart.

2) Ears without tassels, small in size, densely covered with hair.

3) Has small, round, deep-set, blue eyes.

4) The nose is long, widened and rounded at the end.

5) Has a broad chest, strong neck and muscular build.

6) Paws - medium length, powerful and strong, fingers - elongated.

7) It has a very long and thick tail, rounded towards the end.

8) Almost on all parts of the body, short hair grows, longer only on the temples, cheeks and in places of patterns.

10) Life expectancy - 13-16 years.

Features of the behavior of toyger cats

Despite the fact that the toyger looks very similar to a tiger, it is a rather sweet and calm animal. Many pet owners manage to successfully train them. Toygers are capable of performing various tricks and commands. They are not very mobile, they will be able to keep the owner company while relaxing with their favorite book or watching a series. This is a peaceful, playful and rather affectionate cat breed.

Toygers are not jealous of other pets, are very fond of children and are very loyal to their owner. They don't really like to show off their vocal abilities. All cats of this breed love water and bathe with pleasure. The character is soft, flexible.

Toyger color types

A distinctive characteristic of this breed of cats is precisely the unusual brindle color. The entire body of the toyger is covered with stripes or tabby. They can be yellow-brown or even black. Each hair is one color. It has a not too thick gray undercoat. The arrangement of the stripes is vertical, the paws, neck and tail of the lines are closed in rings. Another distinctive feature is the darkening of the tail at the tip and white circles under the eyes.

Feeding specifics

Any thoroughbred animal needs to be fed with the correct and balanced food, only then your pet will look healthy and well-groomed. Toyger cats are primarily carnivores, so if you are going to give your pet natural foods, then it should be mostly meat. Also, the pet can be given fermented milk products, cereals, occasionally you can feed fish, offal and eggs. If you don’t have time to cook special meals for your pet, you can feed him ready-made food. The most suitable for the Toyger cat breed is premium food. Because it contains a complex of useful components that is mandatory for cats.

Rules for caring for a toyger

There are no special rules for caring for a cat of this breed. Due to the short hair, toygers do not need to be constantly combed and bathed. It is only necessary to clean the eyes and ears of the pet every day with a cotton swab, wetting it in a special product that can be purchased at any pet store. So that the pet does not scratch the wallpaper, sofa and other pieces of furniture, it is better to immediately purchase a scratching post. Also, trim your cat's nails at least once a month.

How long do pets live, their health

The life expectancy of toyger cats is approximately 13-18 years. They have fairly good health, but there are several ailments that they tend to get sick more than others. These diseases include some heart diseases, as well as cataracts. Thanks to natural food and proper care, you can live with your beloved pet for many years.

The name of the Ragdoll cat breed comes from in English, which translates as "rag doll". This breed was bred by American scientists in the middle of the 20th century. As you know, they got such a name because of their inherent peculiarity of a relaxed state.

According to legend, in 1965 of the 20th century, a breeder met a Persian domestic cat named Josephine. The complaisant character, calmness and easy laziness of the animal surprised him very much. Modern names, entrenched as aristocratic, originate from past centuries and even millennia. Now under them we perceive, first of all, the names of European monarchs and persons close to power. Really, in past eras, not everyone got the right to bear aristocratic names. Only royal or royal dynasties, as well as aristocratic, for example, count families, had such an opportunity.

This was due to the belief that certain names carry a strong energy of power, making its bearer a born ruler and forcing subjects to obey him unquestioningly.

However, in modern world with the ever-accelerating pace of life, aristocratic names left the category of sacred ones and became available to everyone without exception. However, both their complex and unusual sound and strong energy still warrant careful handling. Not all aristocratic names can suit a child at a given time and in a given place, in the future reflecting on the boy with ridicule for the “strange” and “artsy” “nickname”. How to find a compromise between the wishes of the parents and the future psychological comfort of the child?

Primarily, you need to consider in which country the child was born. For example, in Russia, the names that the rulers of the country had since the 9th century will look organically and naturally - Oleg, Ivan, Fedor, etc. These names in our time seem completely ordinary, but, nevertheless, they have strong energy, therefore they were so loved by the aristocratic families of Russia.

But foreign royal names, for example, Albrecht, Stefan, Sebastian, Louis, may not be combined with the usual Russian surnames and patronymics. And a child named like that is more likely to stand out among peers and can serve as an object of ridicule. In this case, parents can be advised to change the form to a more familiar Russian ear. For example, Albrecht can become Albert, and Stefan can become Stepan.

A foreign aristocratic name may suit a child if he already has an unusual surname and patronymic. And even more so if his parents are really descendants of a noble family.

Influence on the fate and character of the child

Any name largely determines the fate and character of a person. including the aristocrats. As already mentioned, certain names were popular in royal dynasties due to their strong power energy.

Therefore, a boy named like that will be a born leader. He will strive to take leadership: in childhood - in the company of friends or in the classroom, and in the future - in any groups. Perhaps such a boy will not have enough perseverance to complete some painstaking work, but he will be able to perfectly coordinate the work of other guys.

At the same time, royal names cause different temperaments and characters for their bearers. A born leader can be both calm and unhurried, and active, in perpetual motion. For example, the name Vaclav gives its bearer a complaisant and good-natured character, but Albert can be active and successful, but a little selfish.

In addition, the ruling persons often had a difficult fate, on their shoulders lay a great responsibility for the decisions made and for other people. Therefore, one should be prepared that the boy who received the royal name will make his way “through thorns to the stars” in life, however, the accompanying strong energy will help them overcome difficulties.

Pros and cons, if you call the boy in a royal way

It cannot be said that aristocratic names for a boy in the modern world are only good or only bad. This phenomenon has both pluses and minuses. Of the positive points, the following can be distinguished:

  • Unusual and sophisticated sound.
  • Such a name is usually easy to remember.
  • The wearer will stand out from other people.
  • The name will give energy and strength, help to achieve success.
  • The energy of the name will make other people listen to the opinion of its bearer and trust him.

However, there are also negative points:

  • Sometimes such a name may be inappropriate, cause ridicule from peers.
  • Many aristocratic names do not fit with typical Russian surnames and patronymics.
  • A name can bring a difficult fate to a child, impose great responsibility on him, which will make his life more difficult.
  • The imperious character acquired thanks to the name can lead to conflicts between its bearer and the people around him.

It can be concluded that if parents are sure that an exquisite aristocratic name will be combined with a surname and patronymic, and are also ready for the child to acquire difficult fate and domineering character, which may cause many conflicts in the future, they can safely name the child royally.

What is the most common name for babies?

Russian royal

As already mentioned, the names of royal persons in Russia for the hearing of a modern person sound quite ordinary. An interesting fact is that, unlike Europe, they could be worn by both the owners of "blue blood" and ordinary residents of cities and villages. Among the royal Russian names are:

  • Alexander (emperors Alexander I, II and III).
  • Alexei (Prince Alexei, son of Peter I).
  • Vasily (princes Vasily I, II, III).
  • Vladimir (Prince Vladimir the Red Sun, Vladimir Monomakh).
  • John (John V Alekseevich, John VI Antonovich).
  • Michael (Tsar Mikhail Alekseevich Romanov).
  • Nicholas (emperors Nicholas I, II).
  • Oleg (Prince Oleg).
  • Paul (Emperor Paul I).
  • Peter (Emperor Peter I).
  • Yaroslav (Prince Yaroslav the Wise).

foreign royal

Foreign royal names are often unusual for Russian hearing, so they look original and elegant. The main thing is to choose a suitable surname and patronymic. Foreign aristocratic names include:

As you can see, some of these names may well be combined with some Russian surnames and patronymics, for example, Jan, Edward or Joseph. Others look quite unusual - Ferdinand, Louis, Amadeus, so their choice should be approached carefully.

Thus, choosing an aristocratic name for a boy is always some risk for parents, because a person named this way will always be in the spotlight, and his character will be domineering. However, such names sound unusual and beautiful and will give their bearers the willpower inherent in kings.
