Universitetskaya emb., 5

The building of the Academy of Sciences on Universitetskaya embankment (house No. 5) was built according to the planning project Vasilyevsky Island 1767. Initially, it was assumed that it would repeat the appearance of the house located on the other side of the Kunstkamera - the palace of Praskovya Feodorovna. Thus, on the banks of the Neva, an architectural composition was to appear from the building of the Kunstkamera in the center and two identical side buildings. However, immediately after the approval of the project, it was not possible to implement it.

The site to the west of the Kunstkamera was transferred to the Academy of Sciences in 1783. At the same time, the architect Giacomo Quarenghi created a corresponding project, which began to be implemented in August. The draft house was ready by 1787.

The building of the Academy of Sciences built by Quarenghi has become a symbol of the classical style in the architecture of St. Petersburg. The length of its facade is 100.97 meters.

Later, the decoration of the premises continued. In the "Description of the capital city of St. Petersburg" by I. G. Georgi, published in 1797, it is said about the building of the Academy of Sciences:

"Although it has not yet been completely finished inside, it has already placed an academic office, a bookstore, bookstores, instrumental, casting and locksmith chambers, and a large number of artisans belonging to these chambers." [Cit. according to: 2, p. fifty]

The interior layout and decoration of the conference hall were created by the architect A. Porto. The walls of the conference hall are decorated with a wide frieze by the sculptor K. Goffert. The internal arrangement of the building of the Academy of Sciences was completed only by the centenary of this scientific institution, that is, by 1824. By this time, a conference hall, board committee rooms, a physical office, apartments for academicians and employees of the academy, a newspaper expedition and other services were located here.

The activities of such scientists as P. L. Chebyshev, M. V. Ostrogradsky, A. M. Butlerov, I. P. Pavlov, A. P. Karpinsky, A. N. Krylov were associated with this building.

In 1826, a development project for the quarter behind the building on the embankment was approved. Here, by 1831, a museum wing of the Academy of Sciences was built (Birzhevoy proezd, house No. 2). In 1828, the Physics Cabinet was transferred from the Kunstkamera to the building of the Academy of Sciences, which was transformed at the beginning of the 20th century into the Physics Laboratory. On the basis of this laboratory, the Mathematical Cabinet and the Seismic Commission, the Institute of Physics and Mathematics was formed in 1921. He was transferred to Moscow in 1934 following the Academy of Sciences.

Gradually, changes were made to the appearance of the building of the Academy of Sciences. So in 1870, a door in the basement leading from the embankment to the first floor was bricked up. In 1881, the wooden fence between the columns of the portico and on the descents of the main staircase, made according to Quarenghi's drawing, was replaced by a metal grill.

The small conference hall of the building of the Academy of Sciences is associated with the activities of V. I. Lenin. Here, in the spring and autumn sessions of 1891, he took exams for law school Petersburg University. Several rooms in 1913-1922 were occupied by "Pushkin House".

In preparation for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences in 1925, a mosaic painting " Poltava battle", created by Lomonosov in 1764. During the Great Patriotic War to protect against a possible bomb hit, the mosaic was covered with gauze and covered with a brick wall. It was opened in October 1944.

In 1934, the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR was transferred to Moscow, where they left the archive and library, the Leningrad science Center Research Institute of the USSR. In the building on the banks of the Neva in the 1930s, the Institute of Language and Thinking named after N. Ya. Marr worked. From 1937 to 1945, the apartment of the mathematician and shipbuilder A. N. Krylov was located here.

For a long time, the building of the Academy of Sciences housed the Administrative and Economic Department of the Leningrad Institutions of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The Institute of Theoretical Astronomy of the USSR Academy of Sciences worked in the Museum Wing in the 1950s and 1960s. Currently, the Nauka publishing house, the Research Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology, and a polyclinic work here. A marble plaque was fixed on the base of the building, showing the rise in the water level in the Neva during the flood of 1924.

Dear patients, do not read the laudatory reviews of doctors in the dental department. The fact is that after reading the reviews, I decided to make an appointment with the Abdulovs. The doctor did not impress me at first sight: a dirty dressing gown. OK. She put a filling - fell out after a few days. Again she turned to dentistry, but already to the doctor Pavlova (there were also positive reviews). Her appearance also leaves much to be desired (does not match her age). Pavlova treated my tooth: removed the nerve and put ...

Unfortunately, the polyclinic has ceased to serve under compulsory health insurance. Unable to enroll. If you sign up, management's policy is to get rid of the patient. Do not prescribe examinations, do not continue further treatment. Everything ends in best case a one-time trick if you hit after a month of incessant effort. Doctors change every week. For example, physiotherapists in the first half of 2018. I had to change three in a couple of weeks. Two of them have retired. New doctors are afraid to prescribe examinations. For example...

I have been attached to this polyclinic for compulsory medical insurance for only six months. During this period, the registry managed to lose my card 3 times! I've never seen such carelessness in any office! In this regard, the patient is late for an appointment by 15-30 minutes!

Donated blood for PSA. Earlier analysis was ready in 2-3 days. I donated blood on the twentieth of January. Today is February 21st. The analysis is not ready. Almost month!. Within a month, he was knocking around thresholds, coming for an unattainable result. As a disenfranchised patient, with whom you can do whatever you want, he timidly asked if there is something in our country that can prevent the performance of services required by law? The answer was firm and categorical: "Yes! Lack of reagents!". Explanations why such a misfortune with the clinic ...

Tried to make an appointment with a surgeon, no coupons. I came, I thought they would take me with acute pain. They sent me far away, they said come back in 3 weeks. During this time, either I will die or the surgeon. Previously, if necessary, it was possible to stand in line for several hours, but to get to the doctor. Now there is no. All the good doctors I have been treated by for the last 20 years have left the polyclinic. They made repairs, it became like in a crypt - beautiful, but empty and meaningless. In general, kirdyk to me before retirement.

I turned to the gynecologist Dorozhkina T.A. about an irregular menstrual cycle. To which the doctor advised me to become a psychic, calling me a shame, she prescribed me to drink Nimesil (an antipyretic) and with the words: “Young lady, you need to lose weight!” She put me out the door, while raising her voice to her nurse, who was just a thousand times more polite and nicer than T.A. I do not advise you to go to such a specialist if you do not want to receive a portion of insults and negativity.

I will tell you about the fact of inhuman treatment of me by the management of the clinic. Work in academic institute more than 40 years, and until now served in the polyclinic No. 1 of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Ph.D. In the spring of 2017, I was sent from the polyclinic for examination to the Central Clinical Hospital of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where I was diagnosed with grade 3 cancer. In the discharge summary, the attending physician recommended consultation and treatment with a urologist-oncologist. There are no such specialists in the Moscow medical institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Naturally...

Refused to accept OMS, because my insurance is in the region. Today, 08/04/2017, I was denied an appointment with a therapist, to whom I was booked 1.5 weeks in advance, citing the fact that the polyclinic of the Russian Academy of Sciences No. 1 no longer conducts appointments under compulsory health insurance of non-Moscow insurance companies. I learned about this just before the doctor's office from a nurse who herself was confused. I was surprised that the administrator did not tell me anything when issuing the card, because of which I lost about an hour of time in the queue to the doctor ...

Observed for a year. My first visit was last spring. Gynecologist Dorozhkina T. examined, made an ultrasound. She said everything is fine, we'll see more tests. Six months passed, I again went to her, it turned out that not everything was so good. Curved cervix and erosion. The doctor advised me to have plastic surgery or continue to live without treatment. Analyzes scored a bunch, sucking money only. Erosion is bad, the affected area is huge. When I saw my situation, another doctor who had been observed for many years was shocked. So much time has been wasted.

I applied for attachment in April 2017 - they said that a letter would arrive within 2 weeks, but it has not arrived so far (05/23/2017). I decided to call the reception, to clarify - the calls in the first half of the day (I started calling at 8:40 in the morning, I called every 15-20 minutes) were not successful. In the afternoon I was able to get through only after continuous dialing for 2 hours. When they picked up the phone, they asked to wait (without specifying exactly how long to wait). I think that the name of the clinic obliges and is the brand of the institution. In the current situation, the name "Polyclinic No. 1 of the Russian Academy of Sciences" is used only to attract paid patients under VHI. And employees of the Russian Academy of Sciences are served by residual principle, because they are CHI patients. So, 04/21/17. I learned that experienced and leading specialists have been transferred to serve patients under VHI. And I can no longer make appointments with doctors who have been treating me for many years (ophthalmologists Sentyaeva, Lysenko, neurologists and, probably ...

For several times now I have been trying to get through by phone: (495) 628-4408 in order to make an appointment with a specialist (for CHI). Today I called almost non-stop for 4 hours! And useless. Also a couple of weeks ago. There, all calls were hung up on two numbers and the reception desk simultaneously receives those who came "alive" and stand in line and those who call. But DMS is no problem! Everyone responds right away! For such a demonstrative disregard for CHI patients, management should be punished, because it is too obvious not to be noticed.

In 2009, she turned to Danilicheva Inna Ivanovna. This "specialist" diagnosed me right off the bat, did not prescribe the necessary tests, and advised me to pray. It does not differ in special tact, the whole reception is conducted according to the principle "there are many of you, but I am one." The ultrasound that she does herself in the same office is a separate conversation. No decryption from detailed description, as they do in other clinics - no. When I later turned to another doctor with this ultrasound, she was very surprised and said that it was absolutely useless ...

The history of the establishment of the Russian Academy of Sciences "Polyclinic 1 RAS" takes its beginning in difficult for Soviet Union post-war years. At that time, issues of health care and outpatient services for the country's scientific elite were resolved at the highest state level. So, at one of the meetings of the Council of People's Commissars in March 1946, a Resolution was adopted on the transfer of the hospital and night sanatorium to the USSR Academy of Sciences, which was previously under the Ministry of Railways.

Some time later, Academician S.I. Vasilov, head of the USSR Academy of Sciences, ordered the organization on the basis of this institution hospitals and clinics. Within the framework of one article, it is not possible to study the specifics of each department of the polyclinic, but nevertheless we will reveal the features of the work of some of them.

Therapeutic department

The role of the therapist is difficult to overestimate. This is a generalist who helps patients navigate difficult situation and, if necessary, refer to a specialist. The task of the therapist is to objective assessment general state of health and make a preliminary diagnosis, for the establishment of which a thorough collection of complaints is carried out and an examination is carried out.

This branch is one of the most significant and wide in modern medicine. Therapy is a complex complex science that deals with the study of diseases of internal organs. Conventionally, physicians distinguish several subsections that relate to the field of activity of a general practitioner - these are cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology and rheumatology. Despite the fact that the staff of the "Polyclinic 1 RAS" has narrow-profile specialists specializing in these areas, the therapist has a sufficient level of knowledge to make a diagnosis on his own. If, in a particular clinical case, in-depth knowledge is required, then the patient is referred to a doctor of a narrower focus to draw up a treatment plan.

Dentistry at the "Polyclinic 1 RAS"

Specialists here are engaged in the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of diseases of the oral cavity and teeth. In addition, a surgeon and an orthopedic dentist specializing in prosthetics provide their services in the dental department. The most common problem with which patients turn to specialists is caries and, as a result, pulpitis. Also in dentistry "Polyclinics 1 RAS", according to reviews, they treat periodontitis (inflammation of the soft tissues of the oral cavity), periodontitis and periostitis, which is popularly called "flux". If the patient has a pronounced edema, aching, throbbing pain appears, or signs of purulent inflammation appear, you should not delay visiting a doctor.

In the diagnosis, the main role is played by a visual examination of the patient's oral cavity using special tools. If necessary, the patient is sent for an orthopantomogram and radiography. The treatment uses both conservative methods and surgical intervention. According to reviews, in the dentistry of the Polyclinic 1 of the Russian Academy of Sciences, doctors use effective and safe anesthetics, use special modern devices that allow you to painlessly cure any dental disease.

Gynecological Department

This is structural subdivision deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the reproductive system in women. Conventionally, the pathologies of the gynecological sphere are divided into inflammatory, infectious, dystrophic. Often, "women's diseases" develop against the background of endocrine disorders in the body, which leads to serious malfunctions in the reproductive system. According to the experts of the polyclinic, precancerous diseases and malignant tumors in women, in particular dysplasia and cervical cancer, are diagnosed much more often. Cause this circumstance in most cases, it is the early onset of sexual activity and the lack of timely treatment of infectious diseases.

Among the methods used for diagnosing female pelvic organs, it is worth noting colposcopy, which involves a detailed examination of the cervix, a smear on the flora, and a cytological analysis. If malignant neoplasms are suspected, an MRI is prescribed. To determine antibodies to various infectious pathogens, complex laboratory tests are carried out, among which the most common is PCR diagnostics. The choice of treatment tactics depends on the cause of the disease. For bacterial infections (for example, thrush or vaginosis), antibiotics or antifungals are prescribed; for genital herpes or HPV, antiviral drugs are prescribed. Forecast in more depends on the timeliness of contacting the specialists of the "Polyclinic 1 RAS".

In gynecology, according to patients, special attention is paid to pathologies of the cervix. It is recommended to visit a doctor at least once a year, and if there is a dangerous diagnosis, it should be observed every 3-6 months. The main screening method in this case is taking a Pap smear, which allows you to identify atypical cells in female secretions in dysplasia and cervical cancer. Postmenopausal women are advised to regularly undergo uterine ultrasound to monitor the condition of the endometrium and prevent its malignancy. Depending on the anamnesis, the presence of risk factors and hereditary predisposition, for each patient, a individual program gynecological examination. You need to visit a gynecologist from the age of 14-16 years.

Diagnostic methods in the clinic

By equipping offices and operating rooms public institution(GU) "Polyclinics 1 RAS" are considered among the best in Moscow. There are several departments equipped with modern high-precision devices for laboratory, ultrasound, radiological and functional diagnostics. Next, we briefly consider the most basic research methods.

Electrocardiography

Thanks to the recording of the electrocardiogram, the specialists of the medical institution at the Russian Academy of Sciences manage to give accurate estimate the patient's cardiac activity by studying his electric fields. This technique is considered especially informative in making diagnoses related to cardiac arrhythmias, as well as coronary disease, myocardial infarction. An ECG is performed with frequent pain in the chest, the appearance of shortness of breath, as well as in preventive purposes with diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine systems in history.

X-ray studies

To date, for the examination of patients in the Polyclinic No. 1 of the Russian Academy of Sciences, methods are used that guarantee a high level of information content with minimal impact on the body. In most cases, x-rays are used:

  • in dental practice - to assess the condition of the teeth;
  • in surgery - in case of suspected fractures of the bones, spine, joints or the presence of a foreign body in the body;
  • in therapy - in order to confirm or exclude malignant tumors.

One of the varieties of radiation diagnostics is mammography - this is an x-ray screening of the breast. Due to its high information content, this method is used for the annual examination of women after 40 years of age in order to detect cancer in a timely manner. Diagnosis is prescribed for soreness of the breast, the appearance of seals, discharge from the nipples, redness, changes and other disorders of the mammary glands.

In addition, radionuclide diagnostics and positron emission tomography are also used here.

To date, ultrasound is considered non-invasive, the safest and highly informative method. medical research, which is necessary for setting accurate diagnosis and prescribing appropriate treatment. This type diagnostics is used to detect diseases of the urogenital tract in men and women, pathologies of the digestive and vascular systems.
