Spiritual growth of the individual. What is spiritual growth

On the path of spiritual growth, several conditional stages of the evolution of consciousness can be distinguished, where the starting point is a dream while awake, and the final point is absolute awareness, to which all seekers strive. It is worth saying that these stages of development do not divide people into castes, do not underestimate or exaggerate the importance of any of the living souls embodied on earth. For everyone, the path is individual. Someone has gone further, someone is only approaching the initial stage of conscious evolution, but everyone goes. Every experience is spiritual, because we are all the embodiments of the divine spirit on earth and the destination is the same for all.

Formation of personality and loss of integrity

This is the original zero starting point from which each of the people begins his journey. In childhood, we are open to unconditional perception of the world and are not yet limited social norms and rules. For a child there is no time, he lives in eternity - here and now, not afraid of the future and not regretting the past.

The child is whole, there are no internal conflicts in him. However, at this stage, knowledge about the world is practically zero. And whether we want it or not, we have to accept certain rules of thinking and cognition in order to fill our minds with information about the world around us.

From that moment on, there is conditioning. Based collective experience, the concepts of good and evil, right and wrong take root in a person. And on the basis of the information received, programs of behavior dictated by society, traditions and family are formed in the mind.

Often these programs come into conflict with inner desires and inclinations. And the human psyche dualizes, splitting into the conscious and the unconscious, into the manifested and the repressed, into the Mask and the Shadow.

1. Sleeping

By the time of the formation of a person as a full-fledged social element, as a rule, it loses its integrity. His feelings and actions turn out to be subordinate to the attitudes and programs laid down in childhood by his environment. Wherein internal contradictions and repressed parts of the personality periodically make themselves felt in the form of uncontrolled emotional reactions, states and unconscious actions.

So a person turns into a sleeper, plunging into the world of illusion, where his choice is dictated by random algorithms imprinted in the mind. And the consequences of such a "choice" are perceived as an incomprehensible Fatum, pursuing him everywhere.

2. Seeker

Internal conflicts do not allow consciousness to find a state of rest. The repressed "I" is constantly torn out, demanding recognition and encouragement. And not finding it spills out in emotional breakdowns, neuroses or depressive disorders.

AT this case negative experiences become an impetus for development. And a person who is faced with deep life disappointments directs his attention to the search for patterns and causes of events happening to him.

Becoming a seeker, a person begins to intuitively feel the existence of a mystery and invisible side being. He is haunted by a strong sense of the work of laws unknown to him and the intervention of otherworldly forces in his destiny.

At this stage, there is still no knowledge and understanding of the metaphysical mechanisms of the work of the Universe, but already clearly feels the presence of the beyond in his life. And over time, he begins to find confirmation of this in random coincidences, inspirations, dreams filled with symbolic meaning and causing the so-called "mystical goosebumps."

The seeker stage is the threshold of conscious spiritual growth, the beginning of comprehension of the Universe through observation of the processes occurring inside one's own "I". Here we feel a magnetically attractive and at the same time frightening mystery, unknown until now, side of existence.

3. Knower

At this stage of evolution, the individual embarks on the path of knowledge, plunging into the study of the philosophical and esoteric systems of the universe. He finds answers to his questions in spiritual teachings and concepts, gradually building his new worldview.

The cognizer begins to see patterns in ongoing events., realizes his own responsibility for what is happening, gets acquainted with the theory of karma, rebuilds his attitude to the concepts of good and evil, replacing them with the concept of ethics.

At this stage of spiritual growth, a series of transformations take place., often very painful, but carrying a healing meaning. During this period, old beliefs collapse, the rooted picture of the world crumbles, and a new, more perfect, flexible and universal one is erected on its ruins.

The result of spiritual growth at this stage is the elimination of the consequences of traumatic experience, liberation from destructive attitudes and beliefs, recapitulation of relationships with the environment, identification of repressed parts of the personality and their harmonious adaptation at the conscious level. Thus, we regain our lost integrity and find harmony between the inner and the outer.

4. Practitioner

spiritual growth is not limited to passive transformation of views. And the next stage of evolution is the practical restructuring of life in accordance with new model worldview.

At this stage, a person begins to apply all the acquired knowledge in practice. Mindfulness becomes a way of life. The memory of responsibility for one's actions and one's choice becomes constant companions in every action taken and in every word spoken.

The result of the introduction of a new picture of the world into life can be a change of work, professional or creative realization, the embodiment of long-standing desires, getting rid of ailments and general improvement of the body. But main result change invisible to outsiders internal state, characterized by such qualities as confidence, integrity, self-sufficiency, spiritual strength, will, fullness and emptiness.

5. Enlightened

Practical implementation on spiritual path does not cancel progress on the path of knowledge. Cognition is the process of perfecting consciousness through the elimination of ignorance.

In conditions earthly existence the highest stage of knowledge is the achievement of the state of enlightenment, as an absolute and complete awareness of the nature of things. This state suggests complete release from subjective perception and, as a result, a vision of the world as it is, without interpretations and judgments.

Enlightenment is the ultimate stage spiritual development possible in human incarnation. Enlightenment means returning to the original state of perfection and the birth of the Higher Self.

Spiritual growth of man
is primarily determined by the capacity for absolute love and compassion towards all other beings.

Spiritual growth begins at the moment when a person realizes that something is missing in his life. When his ordinary existence becomes meaningless and the search for an answer to the question "Who am I?"

Most people from childhood are deprived of an independent search for spiritual truths, as a result of well-established religious views families. I am deeply convinced that a person's spiritual growth is possible only through awareness of oneself, one's mistakes, knowledge of oneself, understanding one's life, searching for truth.

The basis of spiritual growth is personal experience gained by a person during the expansion of consciousness. It would be more correct to say not spiritual growth, but spiritual awakening, because during spiritual awakening a person begins to see the world without distortion as it really is. And then the truths are revealed to him, the person finds spiritual harmony.

The spiritual growth of a person is determined by how free you are from your own irritability. Imagine that they are arguing with you, scandalizing, infuriating, provoking aggression. Will you be able to balance your mind and ignore all these things as just vibrations in the ether that do not affect your magnificent Atman? If yes, then you have truly achieved something (Swami Sivanada)

Spiritual growth. Basics

  1. Acceptance is a complete internal agreement with what is. You allow something to be the way it is. you stop internal struggle with yourself and with other people, allow yourself to be yourself and others to be different.
  2. Mindfulness - tracking your thoughts, states, emotions. Being in the moment "Now", not being distracted by thoughts about the future or the past. Total experience of the present moment.
  3. Peace of mind - Everyone is looking for it, this is balance. There comes harmony of spirit, soul and body.
  4. Unconditional love is the absence of selfishness. You love everything around you without conditions, just like that, without wanting anything in return. Unconditional love is enlightenment.
  5. Faith is the knowledge of truth.

Stages of spiritual growth

Since spiritual growth implies the perfection of the mind, every person is at a certain stage of spiritual growth, whether he wants to or not.

The human mind is a subtle structure, the vibration frequency of which lies in the range from 10 to the 36th degree to 10 to the 45th degree Hertz.

The higher the vibration frequency, the higher the level of spiritual development. The saints and enlightened people the mind vibrates with a frequency completely uncharacteristic of it and radiates vibrations of 10 to 108 degrees Hertz. This wave is also called love.

The transition from one stage to another is always a crisis and is always accompanied by a restructuring of the worldview, breaking obsolete, outdated views. It is almost impossible to overcome a spiritual crisis on your own; you need the help of a teacher, a mentor. Let's take a brief look at all the stages of the spiritual growth of a person.

  • Mind ignorant This is the first level of intelligence. Lack of spirituality, stupidity, selfishness, materialism, darkness, ignorance - these are the qualities of an individual who is at this stage. Moreover, the intellect of this individual can be developed very highly, he can be an academician, professor, etc. Such a person is a convinced atheist, he denies the existence of higher powers. Such a person is inherently selfish and incapable of selfless love. He is completely focused on satisfying his base needs and builds all his relations with the world on personal gain. can only show interest and concern only for those who contribute to the realization of its main task - to survive on its own, as a separate individual.
  • Mind undefined- As the individual encounters phenomena that he cannot explain logically, accumulating life experience, he falls into the next stage of spiritual development - uncertainty. Lost, deluded mind. At this stage, the attitude towards personality and higher powers indefinite. more questions than answers. A person is no longer an atheist, but one cannot call him a believer either. The inability to explain what is happening forces a person to intensively seek answers to pressing questions from those who, it seems to him, know more about the inner world than he does. Here begins a trip to psychologists, psychoanalysts, healers, yogis, grandmothers, sorcerers, psychics, priests. Often falling into the hands of psychiatrists, the poor fellow acquires a diagnosis of "schizophrenia" and remains for life in the second stage of spiritual development, until the next incarnation, having stopped his spiritual growth.
  • Mind fanatical- those who are lucky in the second stage to meet a personality more developed than himself and capable of giving intelligible answers to questions that disturb the developing mind, go into the third stage of spiritual growth - fanaticism. Fanaticism is of two kinds - peaceful and militant. One feature that unites them is their categorical judgments and the conviction that the system of views, thanks to which the spiritual crisis was overcome, is the only true one. A militant fanatic, unlike a peaceful fanatic, is dangerous for society in that having once experienced TRUE LOVE, he is constantly in a state of thirst. His uncontrolled seizures of false altruism are dictated not by the desire to help one’s neighbor, but to recruit new supporters and allies in order to once again plunge into the flow true love. At the same time, the recruitment of new allies takes place rudely, intrusively, they are dictated the only right way.
  • mind asserting- multiple useless attempts to attach supporters to your system of views lead to a reassessment of values and a transition to the next stage of spiritual growth. At this stage, the mind makes attempts to affirm that the path it has chosen is correct. The inclination towards integral thinking is not yet strong enough, so an attempt to establish oneself at this stage gives the opposite result.
  • Seeking mind - the stage of spiritual search begins. A person, as in the second stage, begins to attend spiritual schools, groups, churches, meetings, etc. At the end of the fifth stage, there is also a high probability of being in a mental hospital.
  • detached mind- those who have passed to the next stage of spiritual development may once again be in danger of meeting doctors in white coats, because in the penultimate stage of development, the material world, as such, completely ceases to interest the individual. All attention goes to the observation of sensations of the flow and the laws of the universe. representatives of this stage are frequent visitors psychiatric hospitals diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. These persons are the most valuable for society, because they are potential saints. Often the impossibility of making the transition from the 7th to the eighth stage of spiritual development proceeds very rapidly and doctors here state the diagnosis of "hypertoxic form of schizophrenia"
  • enlightened mind - This is the level of consciousness, rising to which, a person achieves what we call the state of insight and creative inspiration.

Understanding all the stages of a person’s spiritual development, we can conclude that on the path to holiness we are in danger of being in a psychiatric hospital 10 times, therefore, in order to complete the full path to enlightenment, it is important to find an enlightened spiritual mentor or school.

Before we talk about the growth of the human spirit, let's remember what is the soul? But before that, let's look at your body.
How does the human body grow? We feed it, feed it with fruits, vegetables, protein and dairy foods, and gradually year after year, our body grows and we simply observe this process. We do not participate in the formation of our body, it grows according to a certain program that is embedded in our genes. And growth occurs in a clearly allocated time frame.
It is impossible for a person to remain in infancy for longer than prescribed by the program, or in adulthood. Of course, you can delay the withering time by coloring your hair, tightening your skin, and following your diet. But for this you need to make great efforts. And why are we doing this? For the sake of prolonging the family, to look beautiful? But age cannot be hidden. This is an illusion of our mind.
So, the body grows by itself, without our desire. But what about the soul?
The soul is our emotions, feelings, thoughts, will. How do they grow? And this process goes on when we feed our subtle body (feelings, thoughts, emotions, will) with intellectual food. This is what we read and watch. Art galleries, travel to different countries, news of the day, TV shows, fiction different direction. These are our relationships with people, relatives, friends, with employees at work. Through relationships, you can see the level of development of the soul. It can be said that this is our culture of behavior in society, our knowledge of the world in which we live, our professionalism and teamwork.
In society, our subtle body is called the psyche, and such a science as psychology deals with it. Psychology monitors human behavior and gives recommendations on how best to use thoughts, emotions, will and feelings when communicating with people and with oneself. Suffering, something that brings us great discomfort, is a violation in the psyche, that is, in the thoughts, feelings and will of a person. Suffering is the indicator that constantly informs us about the wrong behavior and wrong nutrition of our subtle body. It is just like feeding the body with poisoned food and it will get sick and cause a lot of unpleasant sensations to a person, so feeding the psyche with thoughts and feelings poisoned by emotions, the subtle body becomes ill and the person falls into a state of stupor - depression and stress.
We will not go into now how to nourish the subtle body with the right food, what stages of growth it has, how it is possible to grow the soul body only to the level of a teenager and remain at this age forever, and not grow up to the period of wisdom, there is a lot of literature about this, our goal is the spiritual body of a person and its nutrition, so that our Spirit grows.
Spiritual body of a person. How do I know if I have a spiritual body or not? Each person has a place where the spiritual body is born. But not every person sows seeds in this place to activate the growth of the spiritual body.
What kind of seed should be placed in this place so that our spiritual body is activated for growth.
For a birth on planet earth, we need the womb of the mother and the activation of this womb by the masculine principle. And there is a process of growth. Similarly, the spiritual body must have a womb that activates the process of growth. The bosom of a person is the heart chakra, that is open heart, but the Lord God himself activates the spirit.
The heart is closed when the will of a person belongs to him, and he controls his own heart. So the Lord Almighty provided for us, giving us the right to decide for ourselves what to do and how to live.
But as soon as we begin to understand that there is the One in the world who gave us all this life, and actively seek him, the process of preparing our heart for the activation of our spirit begins. A person opens the door to the bosom of the heart himself. In order for the seed of God the Father to be sown in our hearts, it is necessary to allow through the surrender of one's will, and hence the rule of one's life to the one whom you want to call your Heavenly Father.
The one to whom you completely entrust your life, as you once entrusted it to your earthly father, who activated you for life on earth.
It can be said that I did not choose my parents, but this is not so, in the wheel of samsara-rebirth, there is knowledge that we go to earth specifically to those parents whom we have consciously chosen, and which our souls need for progress and future life.
To choose your parents for a future life beyond the earth, you need to be awakened and aware of what you want in life? You can choose a holy person (Matrona, Xenia of Petersburg, Panteleimon, Seraphim of Sarov, Sergius of Radonezh ...) you can choose famous person in the past, you can choose from the elements, (the god of the Wind, the god of the Sun, the god of Water, a god from the pantheon of Greek or Slavic Gods). To whom we turn, he will answer our call
And usually, when we ask for something, then we will have to give it back with our energy. And this is the energy of our heart, the activation of which occurs by those to whom we give free will. Because requests are a sign that I, by my own will, cannot fulfill my desire. You (to whom I am addressing) fulfill it for me, and I will serve you for this, since gratitude is the return of energy from the bosom of the heart for the good deeds that the one to whom we addressed did to us.
You can open the bosom of the heart for Angels, these are Mother Mary, Archangel Michael, Archangel Gabriel, the Ascended Hosts. Help will surely come from those who are already on the subtle plane. They are higher than us in the rank of development and will definitely help and activate our bosom of the heart.
Will is what is most precious in our life. Will is the key that opens the door to the future for us. Free will and the right to choose - this privilege was awarded to us by God the Father himself. Will is our choice on future life after death. Whatever we choose, we go there. To whom we give the keys to life (will is the key), he opens the bosom to us and activates us.
Categories good, bad do not work here. Everything is decided by the person himself, by the right given to him by the Creator himself.
But there is a small nuance here.
The spiritual body is activated only by the Creator himself. Since we can get into the spiritual world by having a body that grows under the control of God the Father himself.
We recognize the right to be our Father God, which means that, like small children, we must surrender to Him, by giving our will into his hands.
Not my will, but Yours. Everything that was for this moment, as it were, remains in the past and begins new life. It's like you find yourself in another family, where there is your Father, your teachers, nannies, helpers. Now the whole sky is taking care of you. This is a new territory called the Kingdom of God. You find yourself in the children's room of God the Father himself. The main condition is to become a baby. The baby listens to his teacher Father in everything and does what He says. From this moment on, all your miscalculations (sins) are erased. The Lord enrolls you in the University of God, where training begins. And the nourishment of your Spirit begins with the information that the Heavenly Father himself gives.
Each person is individually trained at the University of God. Prepared for everyone individual program. Therefore, there is no mass character in spiritual growth, only individually. The Lord gathers souls in classes of up to 12 people, gives information for everyone to make it easier to learn. But still, the work goes with each separately.
This is how the spiritual body grows from year to year.
Bodies do not grow in the church, but through personal contact between God and man. The beginning of everything is the second birth from God the Father. And then the Path of growth under the supervision of heavenly teachers.
For mankind of this period, God gave a teacher - Jesus. He entrusted to Him the souls of those whom He activated for spiritual growth. And Jesus, the Son of God the Father himself, is our teacher. For our growth, he individually chooses the bread of life. It can be information about the life of saints, about the life of celebrities, about the life of Lucifer, about the life of our ancestors. But this is just information a short time for our understanding and acquisition of certain qualities. Everything that comes into life during the period of spiritual growth is all bread for the growth of our spirit.
The main thing is not to cling to these personalities, otherwise they will be torn off with pain. They won’t leave you, because you no longer belong to yourself, but they will tear you off and lead you further. After all, you no longer have your own will to make a decision. God the Creator, your heavenly Father, will decide everything for you.
Being born in the Spirit is like jumping from an airplane without a parachute.
Can you jump into nowhere, without guarantees and dividends, only by believing in God? So you can be born again. Only faith...and nothing else. When you lose yourself, you gain life again. If you save yourself, you will lose everything.

And then, after death, there is something to go to the Spiritual world - this is a spiritual body, raised with love by God the Father themselves.

After all, the spiritual body and the physical body remain on earth.

P.S.
Matthew 4:10.
Then Jesus says to him: get away from me,
Satan, for it is written: To the Lord thy God
worship and serve Him alone.

Act 10:25,26
As Peter entered, Cornelius met him and bowed,
fell at his feet.
But Peter lifted him up, saying, Arise;
I am also human.

Rev. 19:9, 10
9. And the angel said to me: Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true words of God.
10. I fell at his feet to worship him; but he said to me: look, do not do this; I am a co-servant with you and your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus; worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy

Human development consists of three aspects: physiological, psychological and spiritual. The latter has been a relevant object for study for a long time, and even now the spiritual growth of a person is an important component for the acceptance and development of one's own "I". The very process of self-knowledge begins at the moment when a person realizes that some elements are missing in his life and when earlier actual image Life is no longer enjoyable. Spirituality is one of the components of self-development

When studying this issue, we can safely say that the very concept of "spirituality" is, in fact, a real adherence to internal principles, the main purpose of which is to help distinguish black from white, that is, good from evil. But at the same time, the meaning of this term carries a part of the abstraction, because using this word, everyone means everything.
But with all this, it is still possible to determine its semantic load. Spiritual development is a complete transformation of the essence of a person, his desire for self-knowledge, the manifestation of which helps to fruitfully interact with inner world person. The very understanding of spirituality is the perception and realization of knowledge about the presence as positive, but also negative moments in our world, the realization of their necessity for the full formation of personality.

Spiritual growth of the individual and its variety

During the time and its various manifestations, it was possible to determine the following characteristics of a person's personality, based on his current outlook on life and his desire for self-knowledge:

● Ignorant person - for representatives of this caste, the main values in their lives are material wealth, as well as the complete denial of any spiritual dogmas. intellectual development be in the rudiment, while not requiring development;

● An underdeveloped personality - a thirsty mind for discoveries to knowledge, with full set fundamental basis of values, with an emphasis on material wealth, while there are rudiments emotional reaction for various life situations;

● Developed person — full use rational part of the mind for the study and knowledge of the world around. Enough developed intuition helping to determine the correctness of the committed actions and their consequences in the future;

● Versatile developed person- the intellect is actively developing, completely expanding the range of its activities. Formation of one's own views on personal growth, as well as its aspects, acceptance of the possible shortcomings of other people, their awareness of their possible differences. Not only financial, but other earthly goods are present in life, but they are optional and their presence in life is very inappropriate;

● The integration of the subject - the active development of a person's character, in conjunction with empathy and compassion for other members of his species. Ability to implement important life lessons, increasing the level of intuitive discrimination and the complete rejection of material wealth;

● Overshadowing personality - widely developed intellect, which, however, is controlled by the inner "I" of a person - his soul. On the this stage there is a complete separation of personal interests from the interests of society;

● A person who has undergone a spiritual transformation - complete harmony with himself, brightly pronounced individuality, and among other things also the integral mind. At the same time, the spiritual growth of the individual has practically reached its peak, becoming more and more improved.

● Highly spiritual individualist - a person who was able to partially or completely reject material side existence. With all this, his spirituality is at the highest stage of his development (full readiness for sacrifice on his part and response to helping others).
Of course, one should not take all these characteristics of the internal state of a person literally - they are only a conditional demonstration of the possible stages of a person's self-knowledge, in other words, their conventional designation.

Stages of the spiritual development of a person

Undoubtedly, before reaching its climax internal development, you must go through all the stages, starting to move from the very end to the top. In the spiritual direction, there are only three such stages: awareness, then comes acquisition, and only then spontaneity. I propose to consider them more carefully, for a complete understanding, and among other things, also awareness of the importance of each period, which also greatly affects professional growth personality.

mindfulness

A person's ability to look, and in addition to everything, to evaluate himself detachedly. The ability to change one's own prism of perception of this reality, abstracting from the usual filters of habits, deep-rooted beliefs, guided only by emotions in their pure form. Passing through this stage helps to see the world as it is, in its original form. For a person who is trying to overcome this step for the first time, being in complete solitude with himself is a real torture, which at the very beginning will be insurmountable. However, soon, as you get used to it, the process of awareness will help you see the true value of our world.

self-sufficiency

Spontaneity

This is the acquisition of the ability to make decisions in life, while absolutely not based on the previous personal experience and formed personal beliefs. Awareness that our whole life is just a set of random, and also unrelated events. Life makes no guarantees about possible success and failures, and you need to love her regardless of your status.

Children are a vivid example of achieving the results of the last stage - they are not limited by any moral principles that limit their character, their desire to learn new things, and their ability to self-knowledge. With all this, they are open and ready to empathize with those in need, not enduring them for absolutely no benefit. They are not constrained by the "framework" of the rules, as well as the necessary regulations, they live for their own pleasure. And only with time, under careful supervision, advice of adults, do they lose their purity, thus dooming themselves to the search for the lost light.

Possible Mistakes on the Path to Enlightenment

The more complex and intricate the field of knowledge, the greater the likelihood of errors. The spiritual sphere of personal growth is no exception to the rule. One of the most common mistakes not only of a person as a unit, but also of entire schools that have decided to follow the path of enlightenment, is the complete disregard and even rejection of the second component. full development- the energy aspect (full perfection of not only the spirit, but also the body, because the existence of the first without the second and vice versa is impossible). This is explained by the fact that many do not realize the importance of the symbiosis of body and soul, thinking that by rejecting earthly blessings, we become one step higher towards self-knowledge.

The spiritual growth of a person presupposes a mandatory system of evaluation and a set of criteria for establishing the level of a person's spiritual development. It is the complete confidence in the uselessness of maintaining a kind of classification, reporting, which in the future will completely exclude the possibility of studying and analyzing the stages passed, further improving the methods and detecting possible errors. The presence of criteria makes it possible not to destroy the logical sequence of spiritual and personal growth.

Going to extremes when projecting on yourself different options spiritual direction is the most common mistake many people make. Lighting up a new idea, we almost thoughtlessly follow it, while not realizing it. main goal and destinations. With literal observance of the dogmas prescribed by this direction, we risk losing ourselves, our individuality. It is necessary to dose the information received, fully comprehend it, and only then apply the acquired model in practice in your life.

Tools for the development of spirituality

In itself, development completely excludes the possibility of stopping at a certain stage, considering oneself "enlightened". Absolutely not. It is necessary to further improve your spirituality, so the following auxiliary tools that ensure personal progress will be very useful in this:

● Spiritual reading - the study of religious and sacred treatises aimed at enriching the intellect through the realization of timeless wisdom; psychological and philosophical works of the past and present whose task is to help understand the true nature of man and his aspirations. Relevant for the study will be not only classical works, but also the creations of our contemporaries. They help to look at the unshakable axioms from a completely different angle;

● Meditation - achieving absolute harmony and unity of all three human bodies: physical, mental and emotional. It is thanks to meditation that there is a chance to achieve absolute knowledge of oneself, the so-called "nirvana".

● Love is the main driving force behind the progress of any person. Only she is able to push us to completely unthinkable deeds, brave deeds. It makes us discover new, previously unseen character traits and facets. After all, it was under the influence of this feeling that mankind created the most ingenious works of art, the theme of which was invariably devoted to love with all the ensuing consequences;

● Prayers - Throughout its existence, mankind has been spiritually cleansed through prayers. This phenomenon is explained by the fact that during the creation of a prayer, we discard from our souls all the previously accumulated negative, activating a kind of catharsis - liberation from the burden of emotions;

● Spiritual practices - the development of the cultural as well as the intellectual aspect of the personality, readiness to acquire new knowledge, control own emotions and the ability to manage internal resources. The possibility of introspection of the inner "I", as well as almost an instant identification of a gap in one's behavior.

findings

Summing up, I would like to draw attention to the fact that many mistakenly consider themselves spiritually developed, referring to the fact that they observe generally accepted dogmas, believe in God and live according to high moral ideals. Can such people be called free and spiritual? I guess not. Highly moral - yes, but I doubt whether they are developed spiritually. After all, the main deterrent in this case is fear. Yes, yes, it is him. These people do not seek help and refusal on a spiritual impulse, but only because of the threat of a possible punishment.

The very concept of spiritual growth, as well as spirituality, implies a complete absence from all moral principles and social principles. But this does not mean that they are like animals and absolutely not subject to control. On the contrary, he is full of love for himself (healthy selfishness), including the people around him. He is simply free from the conventions of society. A highly spiritual person does not plan his life path- he just lives, getting the most important thing from his life - pleasure and comfort.

Spiritual growth is the most a prime example growing up and becoming a person as a person. Destroying our own masks, which were so carefully collected throughout our lives, allowing us to expose the very essence of each of us, the appearance of those around us without all sorts of tinsel.

Perhaps, everyone living on earth strives for harmony with oneself and happiness. Some move away from civilization in search of themselves, while others are forced to spin in this ferris wheel, but spiritual growth is also subject to them. In principle, anyone can take a step towards it, but how?

But before answering this question, you need to understand what spiritual growth is in principle. To be honest, this term is not entirely accurate and represents a misunderstanding, but it is well established.

For many people, spiritual growth remains the search for an answer to the question, what is the meaning of a person’s life, for someone the answer will be to raise a child, and for someone to follow the law and the word of God, and what is it if not strengthening the human spirit.

Spirit - it already exists with us, as such, it does not need to be developed, it is perfect. However, we cannot fully see and feel it, as it is woven with a web of prejudice, speculation and lies. So, spiritual growth is the way in which we destroy this web and become aware of ourselves and the world around us.

Letting go of prejudices is sometimes difficult. We are used to living in a world of lies and deceit, so many things that we take at face value may turn out to be just an unnecessary piece of coal. But in the context of spiritual growth, you need to direct the truth in the direction of your personality and your ego.

You have no idea how many false judgments about yourself can develop in the subconscious of a person. However, if you do not accept things as they really are, you will not be able to develop further.

For example, I was convinced for a very long time that I could read any person like a book, just by looking at him. My judgments were often pretended to be real, thanks to my deduction. Although I usually only noticed it. However, as I got to know some people closer and closer, I realized that I was wrong in many ways. It turned out that a person is such a multifaceted creature, it is simply impossible to understand who he really is if you don’t get to know him well.

Can you imagine what would have happened if I had not realized then this simple thing? Surely I would still consider myself a kind of oracle who can read a person in a couple of seconds and would never be able to really get close to people.

If we don't understand why we don't love ourselves, we will never be able to understand. Even if we redo a bunch of exercises. Without understanding, it is impossible to achieve the result for real.

And there are whole hangars of such self-deceptions inside of us. But the more often we clean up in them, the stronger we will understand ourselves, and, consequently, the stronger our spirit will be. Knowing who we really are, it will be much easier to achieve happiness, right? I already talked about this on the "" page.

Personal and spiritual growth of a person strongly overlap. In terms of modern language, they are synchronized. The more we understand ourselves, the more opportunities we have for self-development. Recognizing the fact that we are far from perfect memory, we can develop it (Post in the topic: ""). Realizing that we spend too much time on trifles, we can get rid of this bad habit.

The spiritual growth of a person is a continuous state. Yes, at some time you can do this especially intensely, for example, during meditations, but the search for answers occurs even when we do not even think about it. Remember how you, doing your usual thing, suddenly realized some important fact. We may even wake up and our first thought will be - "I'm doing something wrong" or "what I'm doing is wrong."
