Number of Soul Motivation

After the Greeks adopted the alphabet from the Phoenicians and adapted it to their language, it was found that the number of vowels of the Greek alphabet exactly corresponds to the number of planets known at that time. And the planets among the Greeks were associated with the gods and were called the names of the gods. Naturally, an association immediately arose between vowels and gods.

And it must be admitted that there is considerable meaning in such an association: consonants are matter, elements, without vowels they are inert and lifeless. Vowels breathe life into dead matter, fill it with meaning, which, of course, is the prerogative of the gods. Most of the world's languages ​​now have both vowels and consonants. Accordingly, it is possible to divide into vowels and consonants those letters from which the names are composed. Do you understand what I'm getting at? It turns out that in the name of a person there are, as it were, two components: “material”, represented by consonants, and “spiritual”, divinely inspired, represented by vowels. They should, in theory, correspond to the physical body and soul that each person has.

In numerology, these two components of the name are used to calculate the Number of Soul Motivation (the numerological sum of the vowels of the name) and the Personality Number (the numerological sum of the consonants of the name). The Number of Soul Motivation we will study in this chapter, and the Number of Personality in the next.

The number of Soul Motivation characterizes the needs of a person, his inner motivation, what his soul is drawn to, what a person wants to be, what he would like to do. It shows what kind of inspiration is characteristic of this person, and what activities are most likely to arouse inspiration in him.

Although the Soul Motivation may not be obvious to others, it is very important for the person himself, since in many ways it determines his point of view, the principles by which he is guided, general approach to the point. We can say that this is his Guiding Star. And it can also be said that the Number of Soul Motivation shows who a person is in the soul.

It is interesting to note that English word vocation is translated as "vocation, inclination, profession", and the related word vocalic means "vowel sound".

The Number of Soul Motivation is the numerological sum of the vowels of the full, official name. Even if the official full name a person is not used or rarely used, the Number of Soul Motivation will, nevertheless, sound very clearly in his soul and will influence the decisions that he makes in life: the choice of profession, friends, hobbies.

For all other names, except for the full official, a small number of spiritual impulses is determined. I had some doubts about the letter Y, but, in the end, I decided to classify it as a consonant. Indeed, when pronouncing this letter as part of a word, the voice is used not in more than when pronouncing M or N.

Generally speaking, the Russian language is better suited for numerological analysis, since in it letters are strongly associated with sounds. That is, Russian words in most cases "as they are heard, so they are written." in English and French there are many words in which half of the letters are not readable. And since these letters do not sound, and numerology deals with vibrations, in theory they should not be taken into account in numerological analysis. Unfortunately, Western authors, whose books I have read, leave this problem unattended.

There is one more nuance: the letter Y in English names is sometimes read as "I" and is a vowel, and in other cases as "Y" and is a consonant. In principle, it should be taken into account in the calculation of the Number of Soul Motivation only when it sounds like a vowel ...

However, let's not take on too many tasks. In Russian, everything is simpler, and we will most often have to deal with it.

Finding the Soul Motivation Number

There is nothing tricky here, you just need to remember that the sum of vowels for each part of the name is determined separately and summed up to get the base number or master number, and then the results for different parts names are added together and collapsed again to the base number or master number. This way we don't miss the master number when it is actually present and get a false master number.
